- Unboxing and review of glow in the dark pebbles / rocks I picked up off of Amazon. Why does one need these.......because they glow of course! Really like these, and seriously they are bright as heck and glow for a long time. I use them in my pot plants just to give a cool glow effect in the dark.
Just wanted to provide an update on these glow rocks. All these years later they are still glowing as long and bright as they have from day one!!! They are amazing! I have really enjoyed them and highly recommend if you love glow in the dark items!
Love It!!! Also have a love for the glow/luminescence in all things. Currently aiming to glow up my mailbox. You'd be a cool neighbor/DIY buddy

The Opps rocks I have are still glowing fine, and I am glad this video has helped so many. That said be sure to watch the video I did on the rocks I bought from coreglow.ca. They offer the same size rocks for a similar price as Opps and I think theirs glow even stronger and longer. Their Quantum grade aggregate are the brightest I have ever seen - more pricy but they are awesome!!!

Keep us posted how you like them? I have started using mine in my container plants. They glow really well, and are easier to remove if I ever wanted to use them elsewhere. I have really enjoyed mine a lot...and think you will also.
I'm approaching my late 40s and love glow in the dark things too, always have. I ordered some luminous rocks from wish, but I don't know if it's the same brand as yours or not. I just know I selected the multicolored ones so I could check out each of the colors. I had also ordered this mermaids blue glow-in-the-dark "pearl" necklace, and it arrived today. I'm wearing it now, and I love it! Some things just keep me young at heart. 😊

@@thelumeineerreviewer still waiting for the rocks to arrive, but that little mermaid pearl is blue and blue is one of my favorite colors. Believe me, I love it!
I've been trying to find out why these stones glow and they seem to be utilising the Phosphorescent properties of phosphorus which slowly emits the radiation it's absorbed. They aren't dangerous... Well, unless someone threw one at you.. But you'd see it coming.

Wonder how well they work under fish aquarium leds.
I have 4 aquariums all 100-150 gallons and use (fluval aquasky)/(fluval sea marine lights) which are really bright but I don't know if that would be enough.
Not sure how well they would work under aquarium leds, but in my betta fish bowl and plant containers they really are bright. They are pretty awesome.

I have had mine over 3 years now and they still glow as bright as they have from day one.
Cool to have the blue but if I don't like'em then I will have be out there picking them up one by one in the night.
Can they be activated/ charged by other sorces of light??
Yes they can - but the stronger the light source the longer and brighter they will glow before needing light exposure again. If you take a flashlight, lap, etc to them they will definitely glow - but not near as bright as when they are in or exposed to natural sunlight. Also black light / uv bulbs seem to really charge them up well also...

How long do they last? Do they lose brilliance after a few months?
Hi Cascade - I have had mine several months now and they haven't lost any brightness thus far. They are as good today as they were the day I received them. I have been very happy with them so far..... Hope this helps!

I think you will like them a lot. They are really cool. Remember the brighter the light source that charges them, the brighter and longer the rocks glow. If you can have the sun light hit them - thats when they will glow the best. Enjoy!

If i use it for signboards for the business will it work ?
If you are using signboards you are better off going with electric lighting of some type I think. These stones glow all night but more of accent style glow.
Does the glow fade away if it is used for a very long time?
Mine still glow just like they have from day one. The light source that hits them (and charges them) is really the key. The brighter the light they are exposed to and the longer....the brighter they will glow that night, etc. They will lose the intensity as the night goes on.....but mine glow all night....then recharge the next day and the process starts again. My only complaint is I wish I could get more colors like yellow, orange, red, etc.

Mine are still glowing as well today as the day I got them (which has been several years ago now). 👍

If the light source they are charged from is strong (like full sunlight) they will glow all night long. If not they still last several hours.
@@thelumeineerreviewer any tip on how to get them to glow? When I got them out mail and took them to dark room they were glowing. Took them out bag and placed in a container and sat in sun for hours, got home when it was dark and NOTHING......
@@HisCreolePrincess The ones I showed in my video - if you take them into the sun for a few seconds then walk them back into a dark area they should be glowing brightly. If that’s not happening with the brand you bought I would return them. If it’s a good quality glow stone a little sun or black light exposure should get it glowing very brightly instantly.

That I am not sure about, but I don't remember seeing anything on the packaging that mentions it if they do....
They're not plastic they're resin, this guy said plastic lol
