- Hit single from MCA recording artist Grady Harrell. This was a certified #4 hit on the Billboard R&B Charts. Children dancing in his back is the group Papa's Results, comprising his niece Canela Cox (now a R&B singer) and his sons Anthony Harrell and Grady III Harrell (from "Saved By The Bell" and other TV fame) who now form the group Brutha, produced by Jermaine Dupri.
This guy looked like Blair Underwood, and sounded like Sam Cooke . He had it going on; and I use to dance to this in the living room . 💃

Grady Harrell has that true ol school voice like Sam Cooke..I thought his career would take off..I remember first hearing this song on video soul hosted by Donnie Simpson back in the day. BET was great back then, it ain't shit now

Yup. The raspiness and melisma of his voice was reminiscent of Sam. He even had Sam’s old gospel group, The Soul Stirrers, sing towards the end of the song.

I love this song, I think I was 12 the last time I saw or heard this song, I'm 34 now, where did all the innocence and time go, just had to go to bed by 11:00 for school, now life is so layered and complicated. Those were the days.
This and 'Baby Love' are my 2 favorite songs of his. It would take some serious backing for his career to be what it should be. But I follow him on IG and he STILL Sangin' so that's the best part.

Yeah the dancers are Grady jr and Anthony and their first cousin Canela (who then did an album with Rodney Jerkins and Dreamworks records). All of the 3 was forming the group "Papa's Result" trained by Grady. The group disbanded when Canela moved to Europe where her mother Rocq-E Harrell, settled as a recording artist.
I said the same thing. He reminds me of Sam Cooke. When i started to watch the show Brutha, I knew their dad looked familar, pulled him up here and what do you, he's a singer from back in the day. I remember this song. He could sing his ass off. Now i see where the boys get it from. Too bad he wasn't a good father and husband.
