Great video walk through. I will be staying with sync 2 however ,as upgrade too expensive.

Does this allow the Ford pass features to work like checking fuel level, oil life, remote starting through the app?
Will I still retain my heated/cooled seat functions if I upgrade to sync 3 in a 2012 explorer?
I was excited to find this for my 2014 Explorer until I saw the price, yikes. Thanks for the video, but for a new theme thats too expensive. I would suggest maybe doing a trade in of the Sync 2 screen for the Sync 3 upgrade to cutt the cost by half.
I don't think you're going to find a complete system that doesn't require wire cutting or crimping for this price. We do have a buy back program.

Will you have a Sync 4 upgrade available? I have heated and cooled seats as well as a heated steering wheel. Would I still be able to control those from the Sync 4 unit?
We have some limited SYNC 4 upgrades available now. More to come.
As with all our upgrades, we always maintain existing functionality.
Will I have to reprogram my SiriusXM radio on their website? And will I retain the dual climate? My bezel is touch sensitive, not physical buttons, will there be anything differences or will it all work the same as SYNC 2? My vehicle also has rear climate as well and buttons in the back will those be working when I upgrade? I also have heated seats. I have the XLT 2015 Explorer

i bought and installed this update to my 2016 explorer and the steering wheel controls stopped working, also the usb ports for the mid section of the car also failed. and I can no longer see the image from my front camera. Is there something to fix this?

Yes these are procured based on the Vin. There are a few variants but the Vin allows us to ensure you get the right one. This is compatible with all 2016 Explorers.

Unfortunately not.
Yes, you can. Note that I did not buy the system from Infotainment, I got it on Amazon, however using this video with the same exact connections, my new sync 3 does control the seat climate options.

why arent your backup lines moving when you turn the steering wheel?
It's likely that this Explorer used for the upgrade was a base model, and may not have had a back-up camera. So we likely installed an aftermarket license plate camera that does not have moving guidelines prior to shooting this video to show how the camera looks in the 8" display. We don't carry an OEM style camera for the Ford Explorer that would have the moving guidelines unfortunately.
$1400+ when others sell them for $600-800? What's the difference? If my explorer already comes with built in GPS and I refuse GPS at the checkout will I no longer have it? Or can I connect my OEM antena to it? I pretty much only want it for the android auto
The difference is we offer factory OEM radios that are plug and play. You will not need to do any wire cutting to install our products like you would have to with aftermarket products.
If I have the 4 inch touch screen is it work the same way ?
It is slightly different but mostly the same other then installing the new bezel. Here is the 4" to 8" kit.

Not sure. Contact our repair services department. You may not need a replacement unit, unless you want to upgrade to SYNC 3 from SYNC 2.

My Ford Explorer is a 2018, it just doesn't have GPS... can I just update the software to add the GPS?
Unfortunately we cannot add it with just software. We od have a solution but it requires us to fully replace that APIM module. Here is that listing.

The funny thing is this system is plug and play. They charge u hundreds to “program” it when I just got mine from a junk yard and it didn’t need any programming whatsoever so ever. It’s a scam just go to ur junk yard and get the screen for $100
