I used Domke bags for years. They were durable, strong and held what I needed as a newspaper photographer for 35 years. These days I use a Think Tank rollerbag that helps save my back. It holds a lot of video gear.
I didn't get backpacks but understand if your traveling. I like the mailbag styles because I shoot in the wild and it's easy access to bodies, lenes and ass'y.
this video came in handy and timely! just yesterday i was shooting an award presentation event and suddenly my flash went off although i have a spare battery it is inside my backpack so i have to quickly adjust the camera to shoot without the flash because if i will change the battery it will take me some extra minutes and that will cost me some precious moments that cant be redone. after the event i went straight to a local camera bag maker, so i can customize what suits me in emergency situations 😂 i guess I'll revisit her again tomorrow after watching this video 😂 this video is for me, thank you brother ❤️🫂🥰
That sucks man! When it comes to shooting events its hard to plan for what could go wrong. Usually for me Ill bring a bag with a back up camera and other gear, then just have a smaller sling with just the essentials that I can walk around comfortably with. Its a bit more work, but def beats carrying everything 100% of the time and having fast access to essentials incase anything goes wrong. Hopefully they have something that suits your needs!
unfortunately not! I haven't tried too many adventure style camera backpacks. I live in Southwest Ontario so not much local adventuring in these parts! But will look into it!! Thanks for the reco!
lol unintentional! My notes were on the side and I couldn't stop peaking at them😅Not very good at going from the top. Took much longer to film an okay take than id like to admit haha
What bags should I check out?

Great tips and really helpful categories.
Thank you!
I have two cameras both with their own bags so I have one large bag that carries both
That's a good way to go at it too!
Great video! Was also very entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it!
