- Back with the release of RE7 Capcom, supported by Sony, demonstrated the flexibility of their REengine with a further string to its Bo, VR. Now with REVillage and the vast power increase from the PSVR2 and PS5 we have the best horror VR title yet. I play through the PSVR1 Resident Evil game, go over the improvements, how it compares to the PS5 version and much more.

Utterly under rated channel
Agreed!
Not underrated, undersubscribed? Certainly
Agreed
Finished game 2 times in VR and started third time 🥂
I’m not a horror fan but I bought Village for my PSVR2 and am having an amazing time. Totally worth pushing myself out of my comfort zone for this impressive experience.
Loving PSVR 2 and RE8 in VR. Sure would love a PSVR 2 version of RE7, as it's the superior game to me.
And the entertaining hits keep coming, cheers Mike 👍🏽
My Thrustmaster T300 + Wheel Stand Pro V2 + IKEA Poäng are very happy with this 💟
Already ordered slap-on subscribtion lenses at an VR Optician so I don't have to wear glasses or contacts. Amazing times we live in!
Absolutely awesome in-depth look at this. Thank you for all of your hard work nx gamer.
The only way to play this game for me now. What a blast!
Another win for PS5 💪💪💪

Brilliant as always
Michael the legend! 🙂
❤ PSVR2
Doing a graphics comparison is almost worthless in VR. You get SO much more inside the headset than a TV screen could ever replicate. The size of the world is actually real looking and you have depth perception. Those alone blow away anything a TV can match
Is it big difference from psvr1
I hope they update re7 for psvr2 cause the interactive cutscenes have me on the flooor
im actually clearing out my backlog and im so close ! i have re8 and my vr headset waiting im sooooooo keen
The best thing about this VR game. It's totally free if you bought game. No additional payment with huge VR mode.
Now if only we can get the bug swatter mod so we can smack Lady D's rear bumper in VR 😍 for me the VR2 benchmark so far is S&S Ch 2 which looks very crisp and runs at a locked 90 fps natively (no reprojection). It is leaps and bounds above HCotM. If this is the kind of stuff coming from a 3rd party during the launch window I can't even imagine how Skydance's Behemoth will look or other similar ambitious titles both 1st and 3rd party. Red Matter 2 and Hubris are looking very promising. Hoping this won't turn out to be another Vita or Dreamcast disaster (great hardware butchered by shitty business decisions)
What about a RE7 update for PSVR2? Hey Capcom are you listening?
I would love to play just any 3rd person game also, as a flying cam behind my character with PSVR2 💟
"A coople....." i love it😂
I already had the PC version (still a unique experience from other versions for me given I have a 5120*1440 ultrawide monitor), but I think I snagged the PS5 version on sale for only $20. Quite a steal given it's doubles as a full VR game. If only my stomach could handle more than 15-minute increments.
Same here. I'm building my VR legs, worked my way up to a half an hour increment just now. It gets better, the trick is to rest as soon as you start feeling slightly funny.
burning shore analysis??????
Great video as always. Got to test Village in VR and it's an amazing implementation but considering I've already played it before (the worst version, in first person) and found it mediocre at best I wasn't willing to go through it again in VR.
Always a good Measurement to compare PSVR2 Socials Screen Output, but it does not look like this sharp and clear under the Headset ofcourse
The psvr2 version of village is superior to the og. Ive played both and the game is near perfect in vr. Gameplay and immersion is on other level. Psvr2 has been a huge thing for me i have like 12 games i played it multiple hours a day since the release.
Is the graphics better
Best man at IGN 💟
PlayStation 💟
The game looks and feels amazing in the headset, but is too much horror for me .. I didn't even make it through the forest 🤣🤣🤣
I tryed the demo and I found pretty annoying seeing those green lit pixels braking the illusion.
Oh good god, the fetus baby in vr 😢
Seriously, no mention of constant shimmering and very low "no quality" textures that plague this version? I'm no a hater, I finished this version recently and liked it enough but this needs to be said. The low quality textures from the ps2 era sticking here and there like a sore thumb, unfortunately taking one out of the experience. What's up with this? One would hope RE4VR will do this better but seeing as this is the same thing the RE7VR did, chances are slim.
And this constant wonder - why not lower the quality of everything that you're not looking at faaar further for the benefit of the thing you ARE actually looking at? There should be a slider for this. Hopefully they can actually combine eye-tracking with Nanite dynamic LoD feature in UE5 to actually really enhance the quality of what one is looking at.
I want to play and enjoy RE8 but the dark areas on my PSVR2 just looks like complete crap. Looks great on the social screen on my SDR TV, but just awful in the headset.
