Hello, I had an accident on the road and the headrests on the hin two seats popped up. Do you know a way to reset them back? I have the same model as you.
My vw beetle 2008 convertible is exactly like yours. Apparently there is a cable that is broken and the top will not go all the way down. Do you know anything about that cable and how to replace it? Because the top does not go down all the way, the alarm sounds when the car goes into drive or reverse.
I am looking at buying a used beetle convertible....the lady says sge aas told the hydraulics need replacing...at a cost of 3000 dollars. Is there a way of enabling an automatic top to be used maually. ? Thanks Andrew
😢this did not work for me. Top is still open. I had a new fuse button put in a month ago when I couldn’t put the top down , now a month later I can’t put it up. I can hear motor engage sound but it is not moving.
Do you know anything about the electrical workings of these bugs? I have to take the radio fuse out of my bug every time I park it otherwise the battery goes dead overnight. Hope you can help.

If this doesn't work check the F 171 micro switch.

The inside door panel came off. Now the windows are open, top is down and trunk won't open. The control buttons doesn't work.
Kinda my problem except my trunk still opens. It's supposed to rain in an hour so I sure hope I can get it figured out😭

I do not like parasitic drain in any car as they can be a real pain to track down. Good luck.
