You’re the man Kennix thanks for your support for Parkes and also enjoying my addition to this video! It was a challenge but I think it turned out awesome. We wanted to do something unique.
Think I need to send this to my therapist. Had to take multiple hour long breaks while watching this because you'd say things that hit like a semi-truck. I can't pay for streaming services right now so I havent actually been able to watch the bear yet. And once I listened to a couple of my friends talk about it, I knew it would be good, but I didn't think I'd really gain anything from seeing it yet. Now I know I'm wrong. This video was so insanely well done. Thank you, I didn't realize how much I needed this.
I'm always taken back by how these videos land for some viewers. How you've received this video is something I will cherish for a long time. I'm glad I could express something that resonates so deeply for you. Thank YOU for checking this out, and take care of yourself!!
The fact that this video hasn't reached a million is criminal. Absolutely frantic and schizophrenic editing, quick paced and loud music, beautiful narration and storytelling, all like the fierce Bear.
I defend it up until season 3. The Bear has a lot of funny moments. The writers are pretty funny people in interviews. There's a thin sense of absurdity to a lot of moments in the show. But that first episode of season 3 just signals a much more serious direction for the show. When/if the Bear gets nominated again, I hope it's in the drama category.
In all seriousness, I think because so much of Star Wars is about family tragedy, or tragic things happening to family-like units, The Bear automatically appeals to a lot of Star Wars fans who are pretty used to watching that tragedy unfold. And maybe derive some weird enjoyment from it 😅
Your writing and editing does such an outstanding job telling your own story using that of another’s. You’re one of the best content creators on here - keep it the hell up my man!
This is a beautiful analysis of season 1 and 2. I just finished watching season 2 and this video gave me a lot of perspective I feel like I missed the first time watching. This show is something I feel like I will be returning to from time to time. Beautiful editing, music, sound effects, amazing analysis. Cannot wait what lies ahead.
It’s awesome to hear you feel that way. I was honored to work on a video with Parkes and I think we both feel that we did a good job getting to the core of some of the more “abstract” themes and moments of the show. Thank you so much for the support to Artorr.
Hey thank you tons for your generosity, and very stoked you enjoyed our dive into the show. I'll be returning to The Bear quite a bit too, although I need to take a break from it first after doing this video 😅
I've never even seen the show, but watching this really made me want to. The way it was put together, the depth and detail of the analysis, absolutely worth the wait - I was on the edge of my chair the entire video and I *felt* like I was on the tight rope with them. It was like I could feel the stretch of tension pulling and twisting and loosening for an hour and a half. That's art, to take a show that's artistic and make a guy like me, who doesn't normally even care about this genre, feel like I was in the room where it happens. Well done.
As a huge Star Wars fan, and someone who's put 12 years into the culinary world, this video feels taylor made for me to enjoy. Thank you so much. The way you do the audio and visual editing really captures the chaotic experience of bringing a group of imperfect people into a chaotic environment with the expectation of perfection.
This show is one of the best I've seen in years. The way it balances the comedy with the deeply moving and sad moments is really well-done. Also, it's one of the most down-to-earth depictions of working in a dirty job I've seen, and the kind of people I met and befriended, all with their own demons.
That last part, 100%. I think it's a big part of what originally hooked me on the show. There's an authenticity to the chaotic work-life balance (or imbalance) of the characters that they portray here.
1:25:40 That has to be the most polite and constructive way of saying the 3rd season was boring that I've heard so far lol (p.s, I'd love to see a video on Andor from y'all)
There's much to be said about that third season, we'll of course discuss that down the road, but honestly, I tend to agree with many of the 'boring' complaints that I've seen. It left a lot to be desired. As for Andor-- I'd be stoked to make that, and will make that sooner than later. Just got a few shorter video ideas I wanna do first 🙂
I know this show has received a ton of great press but I'm really glad to see that it means as much to others as it does to me. Excellent insightful video. Now I'm gonna have to go watch season 3 cause I didn't realize it was out already, but I might just have to rewatch season 1/2 for like the 4th time first.
A similar comment to your recent Jurassic Park video. I joined your channel because of your gaming stuff and even though your work has always been good, these Movie and TV video feel like a step up. I never watched this, I saw the trailer but felt the frenetic pacing wasn’t for me. You are the third person who I follow who has made a detailed video on the show. It’s amazing how tonally different each of you makes the show look.
The conversation around this show has so far been awesome and fascinating. Honored to add to that. And very glad you clicked on this despite The Bear not being your thing. Thank you 🧡
@@ArTorrPresents I watch things on things I haven't seen and games I haven't played. I have that curious nature in me. The more I see this the more I would one day like to watch it. Although slightly different, I read the premise for I Zombie and thought 'this sounds such shlocky crap' and only watched it so I could legitimately say how crap it was but I TOTALLY fell in love it.
The format of this video went so hard. The idea to make the back and forth between you and Devin was actually inspired. Very cool.

The way The Bear is classified as a comedy is FLABBERGASTING to me

My favourite most affecting UA-camr made a video about my favourite most affecting show, sure hope this doesn’t leave me staring at the ceiling.
1. I am very honored
2. say hello to the ceiling for me
The pipeline of Star Wars to The Bear needs to be studied
Also I’m traumatised after that intro, take me back to the 3 hours clone wars doc
In all seriousness, I think because so much of Star Wars is about family tragedy, or tragic things happening to family-like units, The Bear automatically appeals to a lot of Star Wars fans who are pretty used to watching that tragedy unfold. And maybe derive some weird enjoyment from it 😅
@@ArTorrPresentsFrom the Skywalkers to the Solos, the Ghost crew has all been through tragedy.

You absolutely never miss with these, wow. WELL worth the wait.
Exceptional editing and skriptwriting
Thanks for this episode!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
I am sick and this is exactly what I need rn. Thank you so much
Aww, get well soon! Hope the video has helped 🫶
@@ArTorrPresentsThank u :) It did, great video as usual :)
Only 3:17 into this and im tearing up... this is gonna be a good one.
Richie has always been a fucking beast😂😂😂
I love his ark so much. I couldn’t stand him in season 1 but now he is my favourite.
Always love your video essays! It was awesome reliving The Bear through your analysis. Great work!
Thank you!! 😃

2 minutes and I can tell this is gonna be a banger.

Incredible! Can't wait for a Season 3/4 video. Supposedly, 4 will be the last one.
Been waiting for this one 🐻
The themes of Star Wars are present in The Bear. No wonder you transitioned from Jedi Survivor to this seamlessly.

Seasons 1 and 2 are so magical man. Didn't quite feel that same magic on 3. But maybe they'll bring it back for 4. Thanks for checking this out!!
finally, some good fucking media analysis
Your videos are uplifting man
GodDAMN guys that intro goes hard

Hahaha, no way!
The Intro made me hyperventilate, why did you do that?!
the format of this video is way too stressful. Show sounds good but way too much for me.
