Man…this shit broke my heart when it was happening because I remember I ran into Diego on one of my trips to Albuquerque and I remember thinking he was “that weird dude.” Probably thought he was gonna start spouting conspiracy theories and spiritual shit at me but he was seriously a REALLY nice and humble dude. I felt like an asshole for pre judging him. My gf at the time was a big fan of his and he actually spent time with us like we were old friends, took pictures and signed some stuff for her and even paid for our dinner where we met him. Man…this shit broke my heart when it was happening because I remember I ran into Diego on one of my trips to Albuquerque and I remember thinking he was “that weird dude.” Probably thought he was gonna start spouting conspiracy theories and spiritual shit at me but he was seriously a REALLY nice and humble dude. I felt like an asshole for pre judging him. My gf at the time was a big fan of his and he actually spent time with us like we were old friends, took pictures and signed some stuff for her and even paid for our dinner where we met him. The real irony is that mr awareness got Diego released from the ufc for demanding all Diego’s medical info from the ufc to allegedly address the wear and tear on Diego’s body while simultaneously doing unnecessary damage to Diego with that ridiculous hanging upside down “training”.
