Got a pair of timbs today. You can't walk in them, you can only stomp. I feel powerful.
Yeah same
How are they in snow and ice?
Yeah its sick If your outdoors
lmaoo same
I got my timbs for my birthday and they are incredible
Drew, you give me kinda a eastern European grandma vibe with that hat. I love it.
lol I love it
I’ve been wearing my blundstones throughout the entire year and I cannot be more happy with them! They are really comfy and so fast to put on
nike lahar lows are a good shout, they’re only in women’s sizing i think but very stylish for both men and women
I was expecting the Orée Combat boots!
I do get the Blundstone hype, because they have that Birk level of comfort and last a long time.
Yaa, interesting why he didn't mention those.
I didn't realize how much i would enjoy falling down the winter boots rabbit hole.
Thank you
From here in Australia, there is a love for the brand RM Williams that I don't believe the rest of the world has noticed. All the leather is Australian and it is fully made in Australia.
came to comment this, RM Williams are everywhere in Australia, from your local footy club to high fashion events, and for good reason, their silhouette is gorgeous, they're extremely well made and durable too.
i think australian boots generally are slept on. i mean we generally demand durability and high quality materials otherwise what’s the point of fucking around with them.
600$?? 👀
Got myself a pair of the oakley vertex boots last year and they are absolutely amazing. Water proof, suuuuper comfy, and light but not in a cheap feeling kind of way. The quality is definitely there and as i’ve worn them thru the year they are most def worth a look
How is the sizing
I've been wearing my Danner's on repeat this year. Somehow, they fit with this year's aesthetic.
And, the great thing about them (and any quality hiking boot) is there's no break in period.
Dope to meet you yesterday sir 😁 the fist bumps for the 1 and 2 times were elite
The Morjas boots are so beautiful!!!
Roa’s been going crazy, the CVO boot is 🤌🏽
I would say most popular pair would be docs in my area. Watching this video made me realize I need pair of boots, my journey begins now to find the perfect pair. Just wanted to add your videos are amazing and I’m always looking forward to your input.
Those Eddie Bauer k6's are a killer deal at $110 right now, better quality than lots of other boots on this list. I'm also surprised at the lack of LL. Bean boots, both the Cresta and the classic Bean boots are great winter kicks, although they might not go with many fits.
The Nike Manoa boots are amazing! I’ve had a pair for like 3+ years and they are tanks. So so comfortable and durable.
U DONT KNO HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS !! THANK UUU SM AHHH ❤❤❤
Great recommendations!
i was just looking for boots, youre clutching foreal Drew.
As an alternative for the suicokes, you can get the Merrell Winter Moc Zero Tall which are really similar! They're also true to size so that's actually cool :)
Love this rec!!
I’ve had my blundstones for 4 years now and I love them bout to get another pair soon
That Bare Knuckles knit is beautiful 👏
Love your style! NYC fashion tends to get kind of boring, but you're one of the one's who keeps things genuine, interesting and exciting! Stay true to your style!
theres two things u said and I would have to heavily disagree one of them and heavily agree on the other. nyc fashion does not tend to get boring lmao but drew for sure keeps it unique with his style
NYC fashion being boring might be the first time I’ve heard someone say that, disagree heavily but I’ll respect your opinion.
Was looking for a pair of boots, & this graciously landed on my home page, looking forward to keeping up Monsieur Drew ✌️🌙
Loving the The North Face X Undercover SOUKUU Glenclyffe Boots in Brown/Grey :)
23 is crazy, putting in that work! 😤
Have a look at the CQP Saxum boot they are absolutely beautiful ! Great vid man ✌️
#pvv Docs gotta be the most worn boots around here. Can't go to our campus without seeing dozens of docs around with a few solovairs in the mix. Btw glad to see the podcast back! Looking forward to the inspirational and chill episodes as always 🙏🏻
Love the fit my guy
Salomon Quest 4D Advanced are also great boots that weren’t listed. Not the sleekest but the materials are great. They’re often on sale on many sites.
I’ve got a pair of the Danner mountain Lights that I use for hiking, but they’re still good looking enough to wear around town
Wallabe are my jam
The most used boot where im at, and one i think you missed is the cowboy boot. There’s a lot of variation of the cowboy boot, and even influencers like Miles Baguette and rocking them!
I have to say, that I didn't expect to enjoy a boot video considering that I am not a fashion guy, congrats man very professional.
FYI, Danner usually has a sale around Black Friday and I would agree with going true to size or half a size up if you have a wide foot
I’ve been going true to size in Timberlands for years
I would really suggest also Salewa Mid trainer Gtx, they have lots of colorways and to me honestly they look fire 🔥
In Montréal, we all wear Blundstone. Perfect for 4 seasons and snow.
The most popular boots in my hood are Air Jordan 1 highs.
From the First are the best boots ever
I got the fracap explorer boots around a year ago after I saw them in one of your video's & can definitely say people take notice of them, have gotten lots of compliments on these! Also the people at fracap are great & if you order straight from them (which is easy in EU), they'll tailor them to your size which is pretty cool. All that aside, definitely had to save up given it's the most I've ever spent on a shoe.
‼️‼️‼️
I will say the blundstone boots are the boots most people get when they can only afford one pair of boots and need something that can do it all. Hiking check, waterproof check, night out check, daywear check, slide on check. Do they do anything excellently? no but they work well for versatility. It's like the Ikea of boot imo.
how you not mention Solovair in the Dr. Martens section. Solovair is run by NPS, the factory that used to manufacture Dr. Martens before DM outsourced, the quality is much higher (see: Rose Anvil video on this for more information). Also, Padmore & Barnes are to Clarks as Solovair is to Dr. Martens. Redback is more rugged than Blundstones but it's a better boot for the money in terms of quality/comfort/cost
personally I'm an Orée guy bc I like how they suit my style and are built functionally enough for city bullshit & occasionally a bit more. I rotate the OG infantrys, the Morgan derbies, and Our Legacy Camions when the weather permits.
Paraboot Avoriaz/Morjas Hiking Boots also very cool I want a pair
also in London most popular probably Wallabees?
The Diemme boot line is pretty great, check em out
I got some blundies last year (i felt silly saying last year) around November as my first pair of boots and i couldn’t be more happy with them! They are very very very comfortable and easy to put on. The boots are literally meant for any time of the year and any activity.
You can dress em up or even dress em down. whether its yard work or a trip
to the city they are great
I just got some last year too, your right they can wear be worn with any thing and at any place.
I have owned a pair of Oakley vertex boots for about a month and I am very happy with them. You're right about the fact that they are very light but I wouldn't call them cheap feeling. They are incredibly comfortable while keeping my feet warm and dry in Germany's snowy season.
These are only the second pair of outdoor-type boots I've ever owned though, so please take my review with a grain of salt.
Whats sizing like?
Im in love with Paraboots😊
I still have and wear my UGG minis since 2008 and my Timberland hiking boots since 1997. 😊
I live in Chicago’s north side and blundstones are everywhere, but I work on the south side where ofc timbs reign supreme
diemme roccia vet man, diemme makes some amazing boots. the retail is steep, but really no need since they're in abundant in the secondhand/new-used space.
Roa boots and diemme boots are popular at the moment
Those Eddie Bauer K6 boots are actually on deeper discount on their site right now, black and brown and in a full size run for half off at $110. I don't own a pair but was looking and noticed yesterday.
the new yeezy boot 500 highs are amazing i love mine.
Try a pair of redwings! My dad and I have a pair of Iron Rangers. They are expensive but definitely worth the price point.
its really usefull that you mention Sizing with every boot or shoe you are talking about. No more research needed :)
I got oxblood solovairs recently and have been wearing them everywhere
i think its wicked, like “wick-ed” like the broadway musical for those LL Bean boots. Saying something is “really good”Like someone from Boston would say.
I was looking for this comment. In Australia people also can refer to things as wicked good.
Definitely on Vancouver island blundstones are always on feet
note on blundstone sizing, from what ive heard, the size (length) of the boot is reflected as the whole number aka size 9, size 11, etc. and the middle sizes or the .5, is width. So a 9.5 is the same length as a 9, but wider,
I've been looking at getting a pair of whites boots. It's one only the only handmade boots left plus they look amazing
They are indeed beautiful and comfy, but in the 2 pairs I currently own there have been some quality control issues. In my soft lace-to-toe boots, (Frontiersman model) there is a minor stitching defect in the toe area that leads to water seeping inside the boot regardless of my waterproofing efforts, I contacted them for a warranty, which they said they would honor, they stated that is a common issue in lace to toe boots and a new boot may not solve that issue. This irked me and I just now never where that pair when its lightly wet outside. The second boot, Sawyer steel toe, the left boot came pre-creased in the area just before the steel toe starts, and I didn't bother to contact customer service for this issue as they are my work boots so looks don't matter much for working boots. I'd suggest checking out other pacific northwest brands like Nick's, Frank's, or JK's, but whites isn't the worst idea as they have cheaper entry level boots that may not have any lead times
End of vid crew for Drew! Just got a pair of Fitflop hiking boots, - who knew they were a thing? I have foot pain but love love love boots, these are cool AND lifesaving. Popular boots in South London? Uggs definitely & doc martens 😊
Gonna throw in an honorable mention, New Balance Rainier Boot! Very affordable and dope colorways.
Shocked that Diemme were not mentioned!
It can be -20 in my town and the most popular shoe to trudge through snow in will still be cowboy boots
Yo drew, take a look at the represent ascender boots, personally I love it and I just ordered a pair. I hope they fit well 🫡
Reese cooper boots are fire 🔥
All the way from the Twin Cities metro area, I would say any kind of UGG mini. Whether or not it's the mini or the ultra mini, platform or standard, UGG is the boot
The SSENSE sale is on and they have a ton of Dr. Martens listed! Might be a good thing to check out if they’re still a bit pricey for you (which I think they are given the recent decline in quality, they don’t last like they used to)
Surprised you didn’t mention the Reese Cooper Wilson Boot. Price point is up there for sure ($350-$500 depending where you can find them online), but they’re probably one of the most versatile and high quality boots I’ve owned. And I’ve owned boots like Red Wing Iron Rangers and Alden Indy boots. Man…these RC Wilson Boots take the cake for sure. You can dress them up, dress them down, and even go on hikes with them. Additionally, they come with a nice dust bag and 3 different colored laces (if you cop the OG beige colorway).
Great video, love the hat!
PVV: I mostly see Doc Martens here in Mannheim, Germany ;)
Grant stone diesels have got to be the best boot to buck ration I’ve ever seen
But as for boots I see the most it would probably be thorogoods being that I’m a plumber usually doing in house work
luv ur content man
My Blundstones have outlasted any other boot I've purchased there top notch and not as heavy as other boots.
I have definitely come to this point, but its rough as a size 15 as 95% of options don't come in my size!
i'm from Rome and here the Blundstone are the only pair of boots you see walking around
Take a look on Diemme and Roa😊
You missed the Red Wing Iron Ranger, also look at boots made in the Pacific Northwest like Nicks, Whites or JK. As a final, but very important, suggestion look at Roll Club boots. These are handmade by one guy in Los Angeles.
You’re forgetting Asolos or vasque boots these were on a lot of ppls feet in NY early 2000s I bought a pair of Asolo TPS 520s last year for nostalgia purposes
ROA notes as a honourable mention
Would’ve expected to see Diemme in this list
You should check out the rm Williams boots. It’s an Australian brand, high quality boot. Very nice
Bro that’s hilarious cause I was really gonna say something about red wings not being mentioned
I’m loving these recs but I’d like to add one I recently found (a lot of you may know them already) . I’m loving the footwear from vagabond, the Jeff Chelsea and the Johnny 2.0 boots are really catching my eye. If I had more bread it would be our legacy or viron😭
Keep an eye out for the ssense sale and sales on the Viron site itself, I managed to score a pair of the 1992s for less than the stuff from vagabond retails for.
@@brandondivine damn thank you for the heads up 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I asked if you could make this video a couple weeks ago and there it is :D
Looking to get that Eddie Bauer K-6 boot 👀
Oh no. My first comment disappeared.
I own black boots from Gabor and a pair of Timberlands. I’ve had shoes from Ecco, but they were old and broke apart last year, but they were really comfortable.
Great video as always 👍🏻.
Dr Martens Winchester II is the best beginner boot imo
In Poland it would be timberlands or something similar (knockoff ones).
Great review! Thank you! I'm trying to figure out what to get for my teen grandsons for gifts. ;-)
i will use my hiking boots to hike thank you very much
PVV -UGGs and/or Nike Goadomes. I live in Louisville, KY by the way. 😂
Hey Drew, I'd love to know how you feel about the Church Boot from Dr. Martens.
I got myself a pair and I love the mix between chunky and elegant
Very nice and informative video. It’s a great video if I was in the market for a fashionable and functional boot.
Are any of the boots on your list slip resistant, specifically for snow/ice? I fell last year and tore my meniscus so I need something new.
I live in Minnesota and see a lot of blundstones, Tim’s, and Ugg’s
if you’re looking for uggs shop from australia. the word ugg is untrademarkable here due to the word ugg being australian slang. generally they’re wool and sheepskin too so they’ll keep you really warm.
Diemme and Roa have great boots, bit similiar to danner but I think they are more popular in europe than in the US
If you are going for quality go for Solovair over Docs 100% and the best price-quality ratio boot here are the Jim Green Razorbacks.
I feel like timbs are becoming the next big trend, taking the crown from the samba’s
Ordering the vertex ill let yall know
what was the verdict
As a New York Nigga that was taught if it ain’t Timberland it ain’t right I can say the best boot I bought in a minute has to be the Merrell MOAB 3. I got some Yeezy boots. But I’m tryna get som Suicoke bowers. Danners are tough too. Just mad expensive. Honorable Mention: Vasquez, and New Balance Rainier.
I love your hat! where's it from?
