Thanks for the inteview, relevant questions, questions all fans want to ask. Very satisfied with this, looking forward to seeing more of your interviews. Good job! \m/
100% You already know. Idk how Tf they recorded that album so loudly but every time Blessing Upon hits I have to turn it down a little lol…or up depending
They're also total assholes, the primary reason the band rotates band members so much. Mustis, Nick, ICS, and others left the band because of these 2 starting shit.
Well said, Eric. This was indeed an excellent interview on several fronts, showcasing nuances of the individuals and their art. Thank you, Barbara and LineaRock.
For me its a number 1 album from their discography. The quality of music, orchestra, the lyrics and meaning behind it is just top tier masterpiece. I just found it 2 weeks ago and Ive listened to the whole album at least 15 times. Its superb.
It's been maybe 3 or 4 years since I last watched a Dimmu Borgir interview... I can tell Shagrath has became very talkative since then lol. Great job to the interviewer for that!
i am a dimmu fan since 2009 and i still consider them to be one of the most influencial bands in the entire metal scene. its great to see and hear the "real people" behind the band for once. thx for the interview!
One thing I love about Dimmu is their willingness to change and trying new things. Each album feels like a new chapter to sink your teeth (well, ears) into.
obviously this lady is a fan...but a damn good interviewer...very good researched questions and interesting...i hate cookie cutter questions so thanks for bringing out some good answers from these two!!
An excellent interview. Very well put together questions that brought to light the nature of Shagrath, Silenoz and in fact Dimmu Borgir as an entity. These men have been on a powerful journey of expression, creativity, growth, and authenticity and it is awesome to see them adhering to what they believe in, with no equivocations. Thank you LineaRock and Barbara Caserta.
Ya know....when it comes to metal, you always want that sound you heard for the 1st time to carry on over and over forever. That's just not how it goes. These guys are super creative and even though they don't sound like how they did, doesn't mean they're not Dimmu anymore. It's only evolution and its inescapable. The sound may be different, but I'm not yet disappointed.
This is simply the best Dimmu Borgir interview I've ever seen! Seriously. Also, I've just noticed that Shagrath kinda looks like Mr Darcy from the 1995's series. 😂
Thank you very much guys! I support and value your creative approach and vision! You're not those who want to gather masses of people just to make more money and huge respect to you for such approach. Your words explained much, thanks a lot!
I didn't either. I thought it was a well thought out, and well put together album.. I guess a lot of the hate was due to Dimmu not having Mustis and Vortex, and it not really "conforming" with what people thought were Dimmu Borgir.
When he said,"It's very sophisticated work." I was like,"No kidding guys! Every song i've heard has been full of passion and you can truly see the loving work, which has been put into every one!" 😁
Amazing interview! And amazing band, the band that got me into extreme metal ❤ I'm still salty that they fired Vortex and Mustis, but I'll forever be a fan.
I would’ve liked to see both Vortex and Mustis continue on, but like they said, you have to be committed to the process to make it work. It’s a lot of sacrifices, and if you love it enough you will put the effort into it.
Death Cult Armageddon was my intro to the band,,, was just such a breath of fresh metal air after chugging away with death metal for years before... Groove, power, melody, Structure.... aaaahhH!@!!
I remember i readed in a magazine an interview of Shagrath saying he have been once time in helvete store... i really wish see he saying about that again.
I fawking really enjoy Dimmu Borgir....I finally just bought a shirt after all these fawking years.......I hope like hell they come back to the US and I see them. Takk for all the amazing fawking music \m/
That council of wolves and snakes is a very catchy and awesome song! I fucking listened to it 3 times in a row. I just feel it playing with my feelings lol. I don't know how to say it. Most of their music draws me in. Monster guitaring lol.
As a normal black metal fan this album is probably their closest to the orthodox since the mid-90s, obviously inspired by Watain (they wear Watain shirts). If someone pointed a gun to my head "play a Dimmu Borgir album" I would choose this one.
What about the Dimmu Borgir now? There is a great silence around them. It was they would go on tour with Kreator. Their "new" album, Eonian, was a very good actually though many were criticizing it heavily.
Funny you mention Bam. I remember when he was on a Dimmu kick in I think the early CKY videos. lol Believe he featured the song 'Puritania' in one of them.
Dimmu Borgir is a great band BUT dammmmmmmmmm they take a LOT of time making albums. I get it, it’s a piece of WORK and it takes time COMPLETELY understandable BUT (Whether artists or band can’t accept this) to be RELEVANT in the music scene they got to put content out there. Just look at examples like Slipknot, Amon Amarth, AleStorm, Gwar, Pantera, Motörhead, Metallica and etc this band in there own way got there shtick and are successful but it’s because of there continued content releases.
Thanks for the inteview, relevant questions, questions all fans want to ask. Very satisfied with this, looking forward to seeing more of your interviews. Good job! \m/
Thanks you so very much! Keep and eye and ear on Linea Rock channel! :-)
Thank you so much! Barbara

@@BarbaraCaserta excelente entrevista, Barbara te felicito, y amo a Dimmu Borgir. Un abrazo desde Argentina
_I will always love Dimmu Borgir_
Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia will always be my favourite. It’s 19 years old now.
100% You already know. Idk how Tf they recorded that album so loudly but every time Blessing Upon hits I have to turn it down a little lol…or up depending
FINALLY! They took off their shades and begun to smile a bit more.. We all grow older indeed.
They've done interviews like this without sunglasses for several years. Watch the skavlan interview from 2004
And fatter.
12:56 in case anyone is wondering what they're saying
Shagrath: am i talking too much now?
Silenoz: no you're good
🤣
Thanks...
such decent young men
Awe.... Such sweet guys
Black and Death metal artists for the most part seem like gentlemen
It a way, it makes sense. All of their aggression is channeled into their music.
Gentlemen in the same way Dracula is a gentleman
They are Scandinavian. They are always calm in conversation.
Tell that to Mayhem
These guys are so down to earth. I love Dimmu!
They're also total assholes, the primary reason the band rotates band members so much. Mustis, Nick, ICS, and others left the band because of these 2 starting shit.
They are definitely not Gogoroth lol thank God!!
Great interview, really ! It shows Shagrath and Silenoz are interesting people, mature and sensitive guys, and also very realistic.
Thank you Eric!! :-)
Well said, Eric. This was indeed an excellent interview on several fronts, showcasing nuances of the individuals and their art. Thank you, Barbara and LineaRock.
I think Eonian is a great album. Listening to it you can easily tell the band put a lot of work in it, and I mean A LOT. Such a majestic piece of art.
I wonder how long I will need to dive into the magical deepness of this album. I hope not 80 years :D
@@trollhunter1025 It's imo the best thing they've ever done. They've really improved a lot as songwriters.

I just bought it and love it! Each song is different and there’s always some musical surprise you’re not expecting.

I’m glad I live in a world where this music exists & thrives.
Deserves much more views, this is a very good interview with Dimmu. Good job!

My favorite Dimmu interview to-date
WOW! Thanks so much!!!
A very well done interview with interesting questions, and both of them seem engaged in the conversation.

That was great. I would love to see Dimmu Borgir in New Zealand one day. Very insightful and inspiring interview. Thanks.
We don't get enough interviews from Dimmu Borgir, so this is very nice. Thank you Linearock🤘

Dude. This was my childhood band. I was obsessed and im back again. Going through everything as early as spiritual black dimensions
Great interview, and nice to see them as regular people, but with a lot of musical knowhow.
Very good interview, actually really interesting questions i dont very often see/hear with interviewing bands.

Incrivel, esse album novo é simplista sensacional. Love from Brazil ❤
The questions were actually reallllyy good. You dont see that often with interviews
Fantastic album.....the interview just adds....
Incredible views and thoughts of these two Dimmu Borgir legends

Its a fucking great album along with Death Cult Armageddon, my two favorites!

a lot of the sophistication has been left trhough the path (mustis, nick barker and vortex) by dimmu ! ! !

True musicians. Period. Change my mind.
I wish my dad was Shagrath. I'd go over on the weekends and hang out with uncle Hellhammer.
In love with shagrath's accent🥰
Que marca son los lentes?
shagrath so beautiful like thomas helopain

Nordic men ...ok I want to move to Norway but they won't let me in because I American lmao
Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian
Oh my
I love these men of METAL \m/
Good one Sag.
Dimmu!!!!
Silenoz looks like a Hatebreed fan in his outfit. You can't tell in his looks that he's a guitar player for a symphonic black metal band.
31:11 I think that Silenoz may have meant the opposite here
I give them a lot of credit.
Whether you like the new album or not, it had to be incredibly hard to compose.
Осталось 6 дней ждать! 7 лет прошло, 6 дней потерпим!

Since when Bam Margera it's a member of Dimmu?
Simon Correa Silenoz has always dressed like that, even before being bald.
I loled
Funny you mention Bam. I remember when he was on a Dimmu kick in I think the early CKY videos. lol Believe he featured the song 'Puritania' in one of them.
@@unleash-hell6666 You're the bitch
@@unleash-hell6666 She's not a bitch because she wants him to cut his hair, you are an ignorant stupid little bitch.
I notice that Silenoz was drinking a Red Bull during this interview, but what was Shagrath having in that little cup?
Puritanical was like their Megadeth rust in peace or Metallica master of puppets, Deicide once upon the cross.
Idk, except for Interdimensional Summit none of new songs captured me really :/
The new album is epic. I don't get any of the bitching that I've seen. Looking for to anything Dimmu Borgir!
