      Amen, Brother! I was just telling our friend here about being on a Weather site that had, like, 11 minutes worth of actual video content...and another 10-11 minutes (At least!!!!!), of worthless commercials that I personally have no use for, nor am I interested in! You and I are DEFINITELY on the same page, when it comes to commercialization!

      Its childs play to catch them while they spawn. In some countries its even against the law. A real fisherman would respect the fish, and the future of fishing for all.

    Matt, if you only knew how blessed you are regarding the amazing fishing that's near you. Sadly Michigan's lakes [and quality rivers], are replete with cottages, homes and the associated PWC, jet skis, speed and ski boats, that have [as a rule], brought the fishing seen on your channel to a halt. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you; and I hope things stay just as they are and better. God bless.

    30 minutes of NDYakAngler? Hell yea! Just got a kayak this spring and have taken it out 9 times. Boy does it change the game on the locations and total area you can fish! It's a 10ft Ascend. Little small but its a sit on top and is very wide. Has ample space for tackle and I just attached 6 rod holders to my milk crate. Perfect for my needs. Fits in my car, all I have to do is bungee tailgate. Only thing I need for it now is a kayak wheel trailer, a better seat, and a fish finder! Killer video!

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  6 років тому +2

      That’s awesome you got a kayak! It’s definitely a game changer. The more water I cover the more fish I catch. I hardly ever use the fish finder on mine other than for fall fishing when I need to find some deeper rocks and occasionally fishing weed lines for largemouth. I’ll have to check out your videos when I get done running around tonight!

    • @AlexanderBronskyFishing
      @AlexanderBronskyFishing 6 років тому

      I've put out a few from the yak so far this year. It won't stop raining in the Mid-Atlantic so the GoPro has been put away a lot. I had a really fun day in my yak on a reservoir an hour north of me 2 weeks ago but the fish catches were spread out over a large time so I didn't have the GoPro recording. I'll be getting the hero 5 shortly so I will be able to replace battery packs and film an entire day of fishing. Also just started a part time job at bass pro shops as fishing sales associate. Iv'e been buying new gear left and right! I leave for my annual upstate NY trip in a few weeks and will be fishing out of my yak and new GoPro, so it will be an awesome series of videos considering all I do up there is throw topwater. Thanks for the reply, if I ever find myself in ND or MN in coming years, I would LOVE to fish with you. I love your style and appreciation to high quality videos to capture the entire adventure in nature!

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  6 років тому +2

      Nice, I really like the hero 5. The shake reduction is great for when it’s not mounted to something steady. The battery life is much longer than my previous versions too. I was getting both largemouth and smallmouth on topwater this past week in MN, had a blast watching them explode on the Whopper Plopper! If you’re ever in my area get a hold of me and we’ll catch some bass!

    Nice video! Couple tips - those loaners on beds are males (you keep saying "She"). Also, dip your ruler in water first before measuring, as bass have a slime on their bodies that's part of their immune system and easily gets rubbed off.
    Smallies will hit a cigarette butt and a hook if it's in their bed. The type of rig is less important as long as it's compact & stays on the bed. They WILL bite every single time. They're much easier to catch on beds than largies are. Sometimes you do have to back-office a bit on a finicky one, but they WILL all bite. They're not like largemouth.

I know ua don't get many strikes on top eaters with smallies but when ya do its epic. I usually cast a little juicy jig behind it on the short strikers. But after this vid I may try the ol nico wacky rigged. Fish on and keep doing shat ya love.👌👍😊

    All the comments said the same thing you are blessed to have such a nice River in a quiet place to fish if u were in Massachusetts were im from there would be a hundred Asian people there there'd be no fish left and then water would be polluted like it is in all of the Lakes that you're allowed to fishing only the ones you can't fish in can you catch nice fish like that but you can't use a kayak so it makes it very difficult to fish from land from a lot of those spots you are blessed I like your channel keep it up . Also 1000 Anglers throwing a million different things that all the fish so they seen everything

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah that’s pretty much why I don’t even post the name of the river. I’ve had plenty of people gripe at me about it in the comments but they don’t realize how easy it would be for everyone to spend a few minutes on Google maps and find the exact spots I fish and that one post on a high traffic social media page can completely destroy a fishery. I’d like to think that most people are ethical and respectful anglers but there’s always a few that set a bad example. There’s still plenty of poachers around here and people who judge how good a day of fishing was by how many fish they throw in a bucket, and plenty of slobs who don’t know how to pick up after themselves. I’ve had to buy new tires for my trailer a couple times because some moron decides to burn a couch or box spring on one of the primitive launches I use and it’s impossible to pick up every nail and piece of shattered beer bottles they leave behind in the sand.

      I’m surprised even on that stretch that goes through town there’s almost zero fishing pressure. I’ve taken the kayak to that stretch about a dozen times now and I’ve only seen a couple people fishing from shore.

      NDYakAngler that's awesome yea I don't think I've ever seen anyone out there. I'm actually from north IL. I fish that county about 3 or 4 times a summer. Almost exclusively the lakes though. Well good luck out there!! Love your channel

      @@johnphilpot5205 lol. Theres no lack of fishermen in this area I can assure you of that and many of the lakes are pretty small. Also his yak is a huge help. There are parts of this river system I would just never take my boat through and I think a lot of people are in the same boat (bad joke lol). It's all just relative to what your used to I guess.

    I really like your channel, outstanding footage but I’ve got a question. I’m a trout and salmon guy and to us it’s an absolute sin to fish spawning beds. I’m guessing not so with smallies? Does it not bother these fish being disturbed while the spawn is on?

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  5 років тому +3

      It all depends, people really need to assess the situation before pulling them off beds. On this river there’s very few panfish and none in the area where the bass spawn so as long as they’re released quickly they go right back to the bed and no harm is done. Most lakes will be crawling with panfish in the spawn areas though and they’ll be quick to jump on an unguarded bed so in that case it’s best to leave the bass alone.

    Great video, my man! I'll make 2 points as to why I love your videos. 1:Quality. You spend a lot of time catching fish, and being helpful in your explanations as to what you're using, and how to use it. 2: Quantity. You catch quite a few big fish, annnd-here's a plus-while you have a few commercials in your content, they don't run for a long time. The reason that I'm bringing this up is because of trying to watch a Weather video on another person's site. His video had so much commercialization, that it almost added up to the time period of his video content! I couldn't believe it! I'm not saying that it's his fault, but to have to put up with, I believe, 10-11 minutes worth of commercials to get something like 11 minutes worth of video just ain't worth it to me! Just as sure as Looney Tunes character Yosemite Sam used to say:"I hates Rabbits", I'm kind of like him, in the sense of:*I hates long commercials"!!! Short videos of 30 seconds or less is one thing. When you have to put up with 1-5 minute long commercials every 2-3 minutes...and the actual video is only 11 minutes long? Forget it!!! (Needless to say, I unsubscribed from his channel)!!! Anyway:Again- great video, and have fun again this year, a'pullin' in them bronze piggies!

    This guy is a fishing fool - in the very best sense of the expression. I watch his videos whenever they pop up. He always catches nice fish and I always learn something from him every time. This spring video is especially satisfying - 6 twenty inch smallmouth with a backdrop of early colored leaves - accompanied by trilling red-wings and honking geese. It really doesn’t get much better than this.
