There’s times when fish won’t touch anything but a fly, especially in freshwater. “Match the hatch” is a common phrase in fishing, and it means match whatever the fish are eating. Wow, that is incredible. I fish a lot, but i don't fly fish. Just got a whole new level of respect for people that make their own flys. That's some serious detail and attention there.

I learned to tie flies when I was a teenager. Was good at it, even made money selling them. For some reason I got out of it and haven't done it in 20 years now. Still fly fish a lot though. This has me wanting to take it up again.

Growing up, my family had a VHS set of fly-tying videos and we always joked they were a sleep aid.

I feel honored to be able to Liston to this man tyeing. So instrumental for the world of fly tyeing. I like Tim. But nobody will ever take Norms spot. His voice is so relaxing.
