- Hey everyone, in today's video Jack ranks the bosses of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed based on their quality from worst to best! However, this is a ranking of the Wii, PS2, and PSP version as compared to the other, Xbox 360/PS3 version! As always, we hope you enjoy the list. Alex here, I’m a huge Dragonball fan so maybe Ronald would get along with me better than Jack, lol. I actually just purchased all of Dragonball, Dragonball Z Kai, and Dragonball GT on dvd as a matter of fact

Most fans despise gt but I think it gets a bad rep and is a very lovely series
Every series has its problems and flaws and super and Z and og are not exceptions to that
Every series has reasons they deserve to be loved
I think GT’s first arc is dogshit (the black star saga) but everything from there on is a lot better. The Baby Saga especially is one of my favorites in the entire series. I like Super also, although I don’t really like the early arcs much. Future saga and onwards is good imo. Didn’t get Super on dvd cuz I just watch it on crunchyroll but maybe way in the future I will
In canon Sidious uses his saber in the book Lords of the Sith, while going on a mission with Vader. This is the only time he uses his saber in canon post prequel era tho

Fun fact during the kento fight as starkiller if you use dark rage the same time he uses his Jedi version and you do the quick time event his blue aura and your red aura will mix and during the final attack when you stab him the 2 mix and become green on the saber it's a really lovely detail it also happens if your auras collide during certain points in the battle
My childhood game right here it makes me so happy seeing more people talk about the original Force unleashed versions, thank you!
So much nostalgia! Glad you covered the wii version. I grew up playing it that way and didn’t know there was a ps3/360 version until much later lol! Good times…must’ve played this game a thousand times

I wish star wars bounty hunter came to switch, so many childhood memories of it. I still gotta get this game as it's on my list. I do miss this era of star wars games where we got tons of fun stories and creative new characters like Kazdan. Disney dropped the ball hard on designs. I 100% agree about Kazdan, the 360 version really nailed a depressing husk of a jedi and it is a shame they didn't repeat that beat in this version.
I will agree that the 360 edition gives off far more emotion
You can even tell starkiller felt some kind of remorse for kazdan
And that Vader was sad when starkiller died you can see it in his face as the sad music plays
Makes me wanna cry everytime
Poor Vaders life will always be suffering
On the hardest difficulty some of these bosses really really are rage inducing
it’s not very often i watch a star wars video and find myself hearing names and references i don’t get … ur legends knowledge is insanely impressive

2 especially has some decent highlights which I'd love your take on it
Darksiders was so good and 2 was even better imo and had some great bosses

This version of TFU may have more levels and content but just isn't good visually.
While i can see your points, i personally slightly prefer the ps2 version to the 360 as i like all the side characters like drexl that they added to levels like raxus prime to add variety as some levels on the 360 could get a bit tedious, more so than this version. I'm torn on which vader boss fight i prefer as the 360 version has nicer graphics and more gameplay variety but the ps2 has a better arena, better soundtrack and feels a lot grander than the 360 version. Just my opinion though. I think if you combined both versions together into one seemless experience with the best aspects of both then it would be by far the greatest star wars game ever ( even though the ps2 version is my favourite star wars game)

Fun fact it's very hard but it is possible to in rare occasions get Vader or sidious in a force grip and throw or choke them
It's harder then. Hell though
It's also possible to pick up the non force using bosses with the force
When they ground themselves you just have to force choke them to make them stop doing that then you can freely choke or chuck them once

I enjoy the original force unleashed for having many more missions and being my original expirience before the xbox360
I enjoy fighting more bosses like
Darth desolous
Phobos
Kleef and so on
The shadow guards feel harder as they come with the shadow troopers which make fighting him incredibly challenging
And I enjoy the movements far better
However
The xbox360 edition makes you feel far more emotional
Despite being only 9 levels
The fights have much more emotion
Vader is more annoying then challenging same with sidious but both are still fun to fight and Vader is Qte is so much better in the first half where you out duel him and cut his mask off in the Qte
I also love how you have to fight a shadow guard and his many minions just before Vader like some sort of security
Also fighting proxy was such a shock the first time I played it and the maul Qte is the best in the game
The final scene in the light side ending makes me tear up as it has the emotional music and you see the emotion and hurt in vaders eyes as he stared upon starkiller is dead body
Almost like he lost another child *he didnt know luke was alive yet*
Shakk ti was harder
But kota was easier and can consistently be picked up with the force
Kota is slightly more challenging In the ps2 version because of the speed his attacks come at you
I'm glad other people enjoy this version of Force Unleashed, but after playing this on the Switch, I prefer the 360/PS3 version, though the Force choke in this version is a lot of fun. I don't like Starkiller not using the reverse grip for his saber, and I like the combat and bosses (especially since PROXY isn't a boss in this one) better on the 360 version. I also don't think the bonus levels add that much to the story or game, and the motion controls are fine but could be better. Just my opinion.
basically my thoughts, quality over quantity in terms of levels
Although the 360/PS3 version is much more polished and fun I still appreciate the Wii version. The added levels, bosses, higher difficulty, and multiplayer mode oddly makes this game feel more complete to me.
personally the added levels “added” nothing at all, as well the bosses are majority easier and less complex
Ik this seems a bit random and nothing to do with the video but since this is a Star Wars video I thought it would be the right time but I came here to ask if either of u have ever played jedi knight: Jedi academy bc I’ve been thinking of getting it but i wanted a second opinion so i thought to write this comment to get either of ur thoughts if u have played it. Good video also btw the way as always.

@@Cytonox it's a fast paced hack and slash Mecha game that was made by kojima but got less attention because of metal gear solid (especially because the original PS2 game had a demo for mgs 2 or 3 I forget)
Omg no way lol I thought there was a 0% chance of seeing someone else you loves the series without searching it up lol but it’s a great game and you guys should check it out and the bosses are pretty good as well

I think the Wii version does the Vader boss better than the HD version. You progressively tear off Vader's armor as the fight goes on, the environment is larger with no crammed areas you need to fight in and the music is more grand and epic. It just fits the final duel between Starkiller and Vader better. Regarding Palpatine, I'd say his boss fight is equally good on both versions. See despite that TFU is my favorite Star Wars game, my biggest issue is that both versions have something the other lacks. While HD does have better voice acting, bigger levels and shows Starkiller's growth more naturally, the Wii version has content like partially better atmosphere and creative force powers.
idk i honestly think even something like Force abilities are more creative and just useful than the Wii version. As well, the Vader boss gets somewhat stale after so long while the PS3 Vader has like five different phases all with different gimmicks and gameplay. Glad you like this Vader more, I just personally think there’s nothing to this game that’s done better than the other version.
@@Cytonox the stages in the other fight are fun
And I love the tearing off Vader's mask during the Qte and throwing him through a window
However I still think the boss fights in this version feel far faster and more like powerful force users going at each other
Also the Vader in the other one has a force choke spam problem
That being said while I enjoy the Qte for saved Vader in this version
The one in the 360 edition feels harsher
You can tell he is struggling and you tear his own saber away from him and on your journey to the dark side starkiller uses his anger and brutality and stabs Vader with his own saber in the stomach and then stand him in the back with his saber
Not to say this versions isn't good
Starkiller grabbing Vader's head and shocking him is brutal and while the stab is more clean watching Vader's life leave his eyes breaks my heart

You guys should try donkey Kong by far nintendos golden child for bosses specifically tropical freeze my favorite game of all time tied with banjo kazooie
Alex here, I love Donkey Kong (or at least Country Returns and Tropical Freeze, the only 2 I’ve played). Those were my jam as a kid and the barrel rocket/minecart levels are still awesome to this day. Definitely in the cards someday
@@Cytonox nice the best boss in tropical freeze was lord Frederick who is very controversial though but tropical freeze has a amazing boss quality and each boss is great in their own right

Tbh the ps3 Version of the Game feels more like StarWars the Force restricted
For example the Bossfights on Wii/ps2/Xbox/psp still alle you to use all your force abilities, but the Enemies will learn how to counter you
So If you use force Push the first time Vader will be pushed away no Problem, but you need to vary your Strategie
Otherwhise he will just choke you
On ps3/xbox360 there is often just one way to beat the opponent ez
So If you played once there is no reason to play again
that being said the wii version has way less force abilities and the combat is fairly underwhelming, the ps3 version is how most modern boss fights are by comparison. also can’t even dodge like half the attacks in this game you have to tank em and that’s that
@@Cytonox well it has 1:1 the Skill tree of the ps2 Version
And the ps3/360 Versions force abilities are actually underwhelming If you played Wii/ps2 first
@@Cytonox it's possible to dodge in both versions you have to predict there attacks and time the dodges perfectly In this version because of how fast they move you can't do it to late or you won't even know what hit you
The back flip is the most fun way to gain distance in this version that being said
Instead of dashing left and right
The roll in the 360 is much easier to get used too and it much better at dodging
Force lightning is busted in this version and In the 360 version light is more controlled and is a bit more balanced
The removal of the force choke while it does suck makes battles a little less easy to cheese
And sometimes the opponents are far better at countering attacks
It's really just depends each version does some things better then the other and that's to be expected that how every remake is
Some things are better and some are worse
Neither game is perfect
They both have great aspects to them
I didn't read all the Commando books, how strong was Etain?
she was practically not even a Jedi, the entire first book’s narrative is based around how weak she was as a Jedi and that her only positive trait is her leadership, she got a bit stronger in the later books (becoming a Knight) but in Hard Contact she’s like a D-list Padawan
@@Cytonox I gotcha. Didn't get to see her character development at all since I read Order 66 first, didn't know the order and I was like 12. I should go back and find the other pieces.
fair play order 66 is probably the middle book in the series, the order is: Hard Contact, Triple Zero, True Colors, Order 66, 501st
my ranking from best to worst: True Colors>=Hard Contact>Order 66>>Triple Zero >>>>>Imperial Commando: 501st

@@Cytonox ok the boss quality in the game is pretty decent not the best but it has a lot of memorable bosses such as doku who is my favorite samurai boss of all time and I love samurai and ninja games and it’s one of my favs but the demon king was very disappointing

no, you play as him in the introduction and he’s playable in dueling as well
Ur telling me that Damaged Vader is better than Kazdan and the Basilisk. Already having Basilisk so low is absolutely criminal
I feel like you have to complete the set and do the DS version
i would do a ranking but recording gameplay on the DS is impossible without a mod to it; also apparently it’s the worst port by far

Starkiller beat Vader fair and square. Vader didn't toy, the novel also said he was trying to kill him and that he couldn't keep up with him.
ye i was saying that and rather trying to disprove the argument that people use surrounding Starkiller vs. Vader, that being that Vader was “toying with him,” as it’s used a lot in debates without proof or substance
The only issue with this - aside from crappier graphics - is the fact Starkiller does not hold his lightsaber in reverse.

@@Cytonox I never really played the PS3-360 versions outside of a demo way back when the game was new, but if it plays like TFU2 in any way then I like the old Gen version more. Yeah it’s clunky but the ability to toggle lock on helps massively sometimes, especially in the fights with the big enemies like rancors.
