    PLEASE READ!
So, as some of you may have noticed and others pointed out, there are two bosses from the Wii and PS2 versions of this game who were cut from the Force Unleashed on other platforms, those being Darth Phobos and Darth Desolous. Since I'm playing a graphically remastered, narratively hindered TFU on Xbox, I didn't even know these guys existed in the game. I knew about Darth Desolous previously because he's one of my favorite Sith, but had never heard of Phobos until Alex texted me about her earlier today. It's only fair that I give these two a ranking and analysis, so without further adieu, here goes my first ever comment ranking. Just a quick notice, the numbers represent where I've placed them, meaning all the bosses below it are now one spot down (e.g. Emperor Palpatine is now #10 and Desolous replaces him at the ninth spot) but otherwise let's get into it:
    #14 - Darth Phobos
I'll give it to her that she's unique. According to Wookiepedia, the Theelin were unique. That's why she is. Darth Phobos is a pretty unrecognizable and unmemorable boss contrary to both her name and species' description. Early game bosses with minimal health get a pass, but at least they should provide a challenge! She's like the anti-Rogue Jedi, she provides no mechanical bother and does the bare minimum to even qualify as a boss fight, and she's got the health of a Stormtrooper to back me up. That being said the Trial of Insight is a pretty neat story arc for Starkiller and the broken ruins of the old Jedi Archives are nothing short of incredible for an arena. Her story stands out as well, Phobos killed off all of her rivals in her bid to become the next Sith Lord and even faked her own death by crashing her ship above her homeworld of Korriban to secretly build the Cult of Darth Phobos, who eventually fought the Jedi in the Fourth Great Schism and the New Sith Wars, that ultimately killed their leader in the process. After being killed by the Jedi, they created a simulacrum of her as a test of Jedi attempting to obtain Knighthood, all leading back to this boss. Admittedly all of that was to make this part a bit more interesting. Her plain easiness makes Darth Phobos feel generic and underwhelming.
    #9 - Darth Desolous
Desolous lived up to my high expectations. Pau'an Sith are just pretty awesome to me in general, I love The Grand Inquisitor and Darth Desolous is also pretty damn cool. I can't think of a single time I've ever seen a shield in Star Wars, so fighting a guy like this felt pretty exact to the Souls games, which is something I appreciate as well. This forces a unique, tactical approach to offensive maneuvers, if you blindly dish out infinite combos he'll effortlessly deflect every swing, and every so often counter you in return. So, what's the solution? Exactly what I said, intuitive and smart actions that will lead into quicktimes, which throughout the fight are in very high volume. Wii quicktimes are pretty unique with their motion controls and all, so it felt pretty realistic "doing it" this way. (I didn't actually fight him, sorta bullshittin' you guys.) For a simulation, it's nuts how real this guy felt and ancient Sith Lords like Desolous finally emerging in canon again brings a smile to my face. I can't wait to see what happens to characters like him in the future and hopefully he'll make a grand return just as good and hopefully even better than his first mainstream appearance in the Force Unleashed.
Hopefully this makes the video feel a bit more complete, make sure to check out videos of the bosses here to have a look for yourself:
    Darth Phobos: ua-cam.com/video/FXjKFlfDtwE/v-deo.html
    Darth Desolous: ua-cam.com/video/yA1xeIhywzc/v-deo.html
And let us know what you think of the video overall! The ranking of The Force Unleashed II's bosses will be out soon, so stay on the look out for that. Hope you guys enjoyed reading my analyses of what I'll call the "lost bosses of the Force Unleashed," and of course the rest of the video as well. Deuces!

There's actually at least two more in the Wii version, both in the Cloud City level.
One is a Gungan Bounty hunter which wasn't particularily hard but kind of funny because it forced you to suddenly take those guys seriously. The other (towards the end of the level) is a Mandalorian mercenary called Chop'aa who fights using a Basilisk war droid which is pretty fun because these things are pretty much Old Republic era lore iirc.
The whole level is actually unique to that version of the game, as it's different from the level about finding Master Kota and instead about freeing another founding member of the resistance, Garm Bel Iblis.

7:05 the concept of bleeding the crystal didn't exist when the game was released. That was a new canon lore aspect. In the old one, sabers could be made with different types of crystals, and the color was dependent on the type of crystal. In most cases, red lightsabers were made using synthetic crystals whereas most other colors utilized crystals naturally formed in caves. Maris probably either forged new crystals or tampered with her old ones, but there was no in-universe concept of the crystals being affected by it's force wielder.

I like both personally, I think many Sith of old would have preferred the artificial crystal method because the Jedi were just enemies to them and it was a convenient way of building an army. However Sith from say the Rule of Two, it makes perfect sense to me that they are so deranged in their rapid hatred of all things Jedi, they would go out of their way to develop ways to try to insult the Jedi thinking and way of life. Which could easily include the perversions of bonding with your Lightsaber Crystal.

Maris Brood could have had red lightsabers to begin with. You gotta remember that the crystal bleeding is a mechanic introduced in Disney canon and this game is Legends. There are also other Jedi in Legends that held red Lightsabers, such as Adi Gallia, Even Piell, Sharad Hett, A'Sharad Hett or Depa Billaba. Even Luke Skywalker himself constructed a red-bladed Lightsaber when ironing out a plan to fight Lumiya with a dual-weilding strategy.

I always believed that red lightsabers is subjective color it can be use both for good and evil like any other lightsaber it depends on the wielder like in legends a lot of past Sith Lords don’t use red lightsaber to do evil like Freedon Nadd,Exar Kun and hell Anakin when he was seduce to the dark side he use his blue lightsaber to slaughter the Jedi in the temple. Also the whole crystal bleeding to me is just another method of gaining a red color crystal but without proper requirements it can crack and be unstable like Kylo so yeah to me it more than one way to have red color crystal it can be synthetic or natural crystal either way is fine to me.

A little trick I discovered with the Purge Troopers. If you have either Level 2 or 3 Force Grip, it will actually work on them, but only if done a certain way.
In order for it to work, there either has to be a regular enemy (I.E Stormtrooper) or a grippable object near the Purge Trooper.
    1. Target the regular enemy or object (while the Purge Trooper is close to them).
    2. Hold the Block button.
    3. Hold the Grip button.
This allows you to grip multiple enemies or objects depending on your Force Grip level (2 for level 2 and 3 for level 3), and is the only way Grip works on Purge Troopers.
Granted, because they’re heavy, they can’t be flung as far as regular enemies or objects, but it’s still funny to see them flailing around helplessly lol!

I've only played the Ultimate Sith Edition on the Wii. This version was very different from what I've seen here. For example:
The part where Starkiller pulls down a Star Destroyer wasn't a level, it was just a cutscene.
Similarly, there was no Purge Trooper, AT-CT, AT-KT in-game.
The AT-ST is in multiple areas as a mini-boss.
The Junk Titan is a single appearance and defeating it leads directly into the Kazdan Paratus fight, who was apparently using the Titan as some kind of mecha.
The Shadow Guard only showed up two times as far as I can remember. Once on Nar Shaddaa and once on Raxus Prime.
You fight two Bull Rancors at once before fighting Maris Brood, who has no invisibility.
Palpatine doesn't summon enemies, has no unique mechanics, nor is he invincible. He just has a TON of health and spams Force Lightning.
Paratus doesn't have any unique mechanics and doesn't create Titans during his boss fight. Hell, *_NONE_* of the bosses have unique mechanics, or at least not unique enough to be noticed.
You never fight PROXY, as a result, I was completely confused in the second game to see PROXY damaged, as that never happened in the Wii version.
The Dark Apprentice is never fought. Instead, you fight simulations of Darth Desolous and Darth Phobos. You also later fight Kento Marek again, where it's revealed that he survived and that Starkiller just killed his own father.
There's no DLC included, so no Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, Luke Skywalker or Jabba's Rancor.

PS2 similarly had different things. Basically, the older gen consoles got watered down versions. In the version you see in this video, Starkiller fights his father's spirit/memory at the site of their old home (Kashyyyk). In the Wii and PS2 version, you do it the... Third? time you go to the Jedi Temple. Which is odd because I recall the PC version having the Jedi Temple be extra mission not part of the story, but PS2/Wii had you go there for the trials (the two Sith and your father).
Also don't think his father was alive in the Wii version of that fight. It was a Force vision/trial/ghost kinda deal.

Not gonna lie, I feel like I’m the only one who liked the Star Destroyer fight. It can get a little tedious but I can manage to bring it down after just like 3 rounds of Tie Fighters. And the action and sound of pulling down the Star Destroyer as flames start appearing throughout the ship, is quite the fun power fantasy to me. The key is DON’T pay attention to the sticks at the bottom, trying to mimic them will slow things to a grind. Simply follow your own controls to bring the Star Destroyer to point at the central of the screen.

I played the force unleashed on PC for the first time a few years back and did not play on controller. The star destroyer boss fight was the only thing that truly stuck with me as it was the worst console port for controls I had ever experienced, even to this day. Moving the mouse downwards counted as an input until it stopped which meant you had to keep dragging it back and forth to get consistent input. Hit them with the x, y, y combo or for Playstation players square triangle triangle and then hit them with a single bolt of lighting and it'll send them into the regular shock animation. So you can stab them and deal a ton of damage while they were on the ground.

When it comes to combat and Boss Fights the Wii/PSP/PS2 is wayyyyyyyyy better imo. The one thing about the PS3/360 is that it felt way to limited especially when blocking or using Force Abilities. When it comes to Bosses Kazdan is a lot more enjoyable (One of the best fights in the game), Kotas fun, Shaak Ti is more of a pain in the ass, Maris is actually challenging and the fact she knows you killed her master is even better, Palpatines an actual boss fight that requires skill, and the added bosses like Desolous and Phobos are fun plus good luck with spamming, it's not gonna help that much since the opponents health counter blocks it if a certain move is used repeatedly in the Phobos fight onwards. The main highlight was the Bespin Mission with a Mandalorian Crimelord (Imo the best boss in the game and if ur an old EU fan it's like a love letter) and his enforcers who acquired said armor. It also ties in a lot of loose ends especially Juno's background, Kento guiding his son throughout the game in the Jedi Temple visits and bc of this the feeling with his Dad is a lot more impactful in this version (to the point where Lucasart had to make DLC to correct this mistakes also Coruscant is not DLC in this Version). Unfortunately the voice acting is very weak because this was the first draft of the story plus on an older console but the customization and actually seeing your own Customization makes up for it in my eyes. The PS3s version looks better when it comes to detail, but to say it's superior than The Wiis is not true
