wow....... cytonox again with silly AFcomments. *bawk bawk* are you scared of droids ? your feathers are growing with every chicken squak like from home rick sucks hes not even a boss he dies in one hit xd the frame is not a problem either, you play the game, don't cry, it's not a portrait, baby. the plot with bode is super good, it betrays you but it also has reasons that make it perhaps better than cal. boba fett is my favorite video on youtube maybe. vader: kill brute force and use books cere: ok! 9th sister: allow my memes to introduce themselves: dies your dumb for putting her high shes stupud and easy rayvis death was epic AF like fighter You clearly didn't play the same game as any smart person. jedi knight booo jedi grand master cheer jack should be boiling himself on a cheeky bull inside, alex personolly i think he's dumb but i wouldn't hurt him
My understanding was that Bode was originally just fine with Cal and the others going to Tanalorr with him and Kata. But when they decided to bring the hidden path there, he decided that with that came the inevitability of the Empire finding them, so he decided that it could only be him and his daughter
@@jacobcenter7374 yea it is kind of annoying when you see people dislike something when it was spelt out for you the whole time. like bro did some of these players even watch the cutscenes? numerous times bode kept saying "can we go alone" "lets go there before the hidden path" etc, and clear discomfort whenever cal brought up bringing them there, bro was more than happy to go to tanalor with cal and his gang until he kept insisting on bringing some of the empires most wanted, he probably wouldve told cal everything and asked for him to help him take out denvik so his secret can stay hidden if cal wasnt so insistent on bringing attention to the planet
I cheesed it by pulling down those hammer dudes and opening up the pit while they were over it. They do most of the work for you and then you can finish it off with the blaster afterwards
The reason I see Cere being such a tough opponent for Vader was the sheer fact that she was completely void of fear. She wasn’t scared of him which is the main reason so many Jedi fell to him so fast. She also had been preparing to fight him again for the past five years and knows how he fights/how powerful he was, add to that she was a Jedi Master that was notable for assessing a situation from all angles (something Vader has always struggled with) and it makes sense. She wasn’t fighting for her survival, she was fighting for her family’s.
i guess, i just prefer it when vader's portrayed as a mortal god, i feel like in recent times he's been getting increasingly overpowered by almost everyone he fights. Still a fantastic boss though - jack
@@Cytonox I love seeing Vader steam roll opponents and act like a god among men too, but seeing Vader struggle and still manage to always win is way cooler imo, but to each their own.
@@DeeDeeDeeeee i agree... on occasion. It's almost expected at this point though which is my problem, we're on the same side being real just i'd like to see it happen a bit less
I think Bode’s logic makes complete sense. He wants Tanalore because he wants to escape the empire. In his mind, if the hidden path also get Tanalore and incorporates it into their network, the empire will inevitably find it and ruin everything like they did Jedha, all it takes is some loose lips (or another spy). That is a very reasonable assumption, he’s still nuts with how far he goes for it, but that logic feels very consistent for someone who knows how far the empire will go to hunt jedi.
honestly the only part of Bode's entire betrayal that makes no sense is him murdering Eno Cordova. like everything else that he did fits in with his character and motivations but he had no motive to kill Cordova, killing him didn't get Bode anything, Cordova wasn't threatening him in any way, and chances are that Cordova would've just died a few minutes later anyway when Vader showed up. the only reason for Bode to shoot him was so that the developers could easily (and somewhat lazily) go "look how evil this guy now is, kill him"
The only reason I could think of is maybe Bode thought because Cordova successfully repaired the wayfinder (I don't remember what it's called, I'll go with that), he'd be capable of creating another one entirely (especially if they'll need to create more for the hidden path) or worse was captured and could produce it for the empire as a prisoner. But that's making a lot of assumptions that I can't really validate.
@@AgentQV I'd say that being able to fix one is a long shot from being able to make another. heck, a large part of the game's plot is fueled by the fact that he can't just fix 2 slightly more broken ones. fixing the least broken one isn't going to suddenly give him the skills to repair the other 2, let alone make a new one entirely from scratch.
@AgentQV it's because he was in his way he most definitely could have stopped him from running away using the force plus at that point the only thing that matters to bode is getting his daughter to safety. Him killing Cordova isn't any different then letting the empire know they were there.
@@Eclipsed_EmbersI mean. There is slight motivation. Cordova is a jedi, and we never saw him fight before, maybe if Cordova joined to fight him he would have lost
I want to have a word with the person who stuck that second rancor in a dark corner with no warning. That scared the piss out of me when I was hoping to find a chest but was greeted with a headstomp
I absolutely respect cere, like I am absolutely sick of literally every single person seeing vader as this invulnerable god or some sh*t. And seeing the comments like that was no health bar it was a patience bar is dumb too. No sir it was in fact a health bar. We all know that cere is weaker and was gonna die but damn she went out like a boss. Like she really gave vader a hard time and even vader respected her. And she didn't even fear him, she wasn't no obi wan or luke but still she was a true master
Honestly I feel like both Dagan and Bode could be reflections of Anakin during his fall to the Dark Side before becoming Vader. Dagan an obvious with the one arm yet he fell to an obsession and the prestige it would have meant for him in the order and wanted vengeance on them for a betrayal, along with mental issues that went unnoticed by the Jedi by their own code. Bode paranoia for his daughter is the same as Anakin’s for Padmé, both willing to do anything before become blinded and risking the thing they wished to treasure.
i don't think they really have anything to do with Anakin especially considering the game's story as a whole is on Cal becoming increasingly disillusioned from losing sight of his Jedi virtues in pursuit of his individual desires. Dagan and Bode both are literal representations of what Cal would become should he follow his goals to the point of complete obsession. Dagan primed Cal, and Bode pushed him over that edge (hence Cal embracing his darkness while pursuing Bode) - jack
Gotcha, I just considered the way they both fell to the Darkside to be representational of why Anakin fell. Wartime trauma compiled with the Jedi code and issues with the council for Dagan and a blind devotion to protect a loved one and paranoia causing them to lash out for Bode. Yes they are similar to Cal and waht he could become if he didn't have the Mantis crew, but just pointing out a similarity in how they fell. Speaking if which if they're is a third game in the trilogy, probably expect Cal vs Vader. Might be a possibility yet we shall see.
@@Cytonox tbh cal isn't at vader level just yet I mean he even struggled a bit against bode. But with how much his powers have grown by the next one that makes more sense.
Bode didn't murder Eno Cordova for "no reason" he killed him because he was the only one who understood how the compass ito Tanalor works, meaning he was the only one who could possibly have made a new one. He didn't want to kill him but felt he had to since from his perspective Cordova is now a loose end. The fact that some people don't understand Bodes motivations truly baffles me. He couldn't have made it more clear and they're the same as Cals, desperately wanting to protect the people they love. We've also seen with Anakin and with Cal that this is what the dark side does to you, you aren't yourself anymore, think back to when merrin had to stop Cal from killing Denvik, that's not who Cal is but he was letting his grief and pain consume him. Bode had let his fear as well as his own pain consume him and not wanting the Hidden Path on Tanalor makes sense too. He's seen the lengths the Empire will go to just to get one Jedi and it cost him his wife, the Hidden Path would make Tanalor a target for the Empire and then it's just a matter of time before they find a way to reach it. That's why he only wanted himself, Kata, and Cals family there.
18:05 Cere is a Jedi master, when she fought against Vader the first time she hadn't used a lightsaber in a long time, this time she's been improving for years just like Cal and has probably reached and then surpassed her abilities before the purge just like cal. It makes sense that she'd be really powerful. I'm not sure if she was on the council or not though.
I guess killing of cere and cordova was a way to propel Cal to become a jedi master in the next game, as well as introducing him to his struggle against the dark side.
I'm probably feeling some copium, but I like to think Vader was toying with her. The thing that cemented it for me was him walking away, he started limping, and fairly quickly started walking as if nothing happened. It's like Vader wanted her to taste victory just so he could see her face when he ripped it away with ease
I kinda questioned whether or not cere should’ve been able to almost win but the way my friend said it could make sense is that Vader wouldn’t have been expecting to fight a full blown Jedi master. Vader is used to stomping over enemies that aren’t even close to how powerful cere is now that she righted herself. It had been years since Vader fought someone so strong so I can buy it that she just caught him off guard and nearly got the best of him
You see it in his introduction. He toys with her emotions, saying everything they had accomplished was for nothing trying to make her angry (even though losing that holocron would have certainly been a massive blow to the Empire) and then brings in the edge with "I have come for you" to add in fear with that anger. Meanwhile Cere wasn't idle in those five years, she had trained and prepared for him. One of Vader's biggest assets is that no one ever gets to fight him twice. People don't get to prepare for him and his edgy scare tactics because no one lives to talk about them. I would hazard to say that this is probably the first time suited Vader ever had to fight someone a second time. Leaving him to just go into his usual routine not realizing someone who prepared for him is actually a threat. This fight was probably a very teachable moment for Vader for him to recognize he's not invincible and that people who survive him become wise to his tricks and need to be taken with more care the next time. Ultimately making him more powerful.
Judging by your ranking of Vader it’s safe to say you don’t know that Vader is not untouchable and that Cere is a Jedi *MASTER* so Cere *NEARLY* beating him completely works.
For me Vader was the hardest fight, but that might’ve just been because I was so used to guard canceling with dual wield stance that the lack of it fucked me up
You know what's weird? I didn't have the massive download size, or any performance problems with my copy. And damn right that Rayvis is #1. That's the most fun I've had in a boss fight in quite some time.
All ima say, is that cere put up such a good fight cause she let go of her fear, one of the only people who wasn’t scared of Vader and you could tell cause she’s one of the only people to actually hang with Vader, she basically was on the level of a Jedi master council member cause she let go of her fear, she basically pulled a mace windu and used her emotions to her own advantage
That's how Vader fights he intimidates to demoralize the opponents (dun moch) and when that doesn't work you see him having to work his ass to win especially if the jedi is skilled enough.
My headcanon that Rayvis is really old Gen'Dai, so his regeneration isn't as good as it would be at his prime, so he was able to die with enough slices Also, death by big ray of death, isn't very honourable way to go, so i have no issues here
18:00 I think that fallen orders vader representation is obviously better, but cere having lost all of her fear does explain why she got close to killing vader. Maybe, just maybe in the years of time skip she got much stronger with the force and, she even said, let go of all her fear, meaning she might have become as strong as a jedi councillor. It’s a slight long shot but that’s the only way I see her being able to get that close to beating vader
eeth koth isn't a fair comparison, he got shit on by grievous and a couple magna guards and by the time vader sought him out, he had already been retired as a jedi for many years. while cere was a skilled jedi master, and for the 5 years between fallen order and jedi survivor was actively fighting as a jedi with cal. cere with the dark side; a shortcut to her true power, was able to bring vader down to his knees albeit temporary on fortress inquisitorious. i think her defeat of vader is within the realm of possibility, and her death due to a shortsighted arrogant move is simply bad luck
Simply put.. bode killed cordova because he worked with him and knew that if he let him live and due to his experience studying the compass.. he believed cordova could make another compass and cal finding him there. And bode's intentions make perfect sense and it really made his character and the story really good. He was fine with cal and merrin being in love and coming with him. But when he knew they were gonna give it to the hidden path he thought that would mean war and they wouldn't be safe and the empire would eventually find them or her daughter will be at risk. Also he literally explained what he is. He is a jedi survivor like us who survived and layed low then met his wife and cut a deal with the isb and denvick, I don't think that vader knew him. (I'm not sure) even if he did I think he didn't kill him because of his usefulness and oath.
If they were going to make it to where you kill rayvis with the cannon, how you bring him there to do it in the first place? The only way to get there is with the ascension cable, so he wouldn’t be able to get down from where he is. Actually he did he get up in the boss arena anyway?
Bro I get the criticize that dagan gera gets for his story and motive. But all that aside. Damn is he badass, like he owned cal in every fight with bode who was force sensitive and cal with 5 different stances. His powers were so cool. He literally overpowered us with one hand and created a litteral force arm. He lured us to the dark side in order to beat him 2v1. He was definitely top of his game
I mean cere is using a bit of the dark side to fight (cal in rage use the same mooves) and this takes place around the obi-wan serie in which vader got defeated so i can see her put a fight against him
Great video, Guys! I haven’t played either of these games, but Respawn also developed Titanfall 2, which is one of my favorite FPS games of the last decade. I wonder if Rick the Door Technician’s name was intended as an homage to Soldier of Godrick. Anyway, I’m enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads.
I think Ninth sisters ultra instinct is actually her sensing your emotions and predicted your attack Pattern She has the ability to sense emotions in the canon
I actually like how they did Bode I do not think you are supposed to understand him the point of him is how the dark side has corrupted his Noble intentions so much so that in your fight he is literally snarling like a beast in wrath and almost forgets his daughter is there he is so determined to kill you I actually like how they do it to show just how much the dark side can corrupt what were originally noble intentions
People are so angry about the Vader fight it’s so funny, Star Wars fans get angry about everything I love it haha (coming from one the biggest SW fans). She simply let go of her fear which amped her a bit, much like the force amped Kanan when he fought Grand Inquisitor. It’s clear in canon on multiple occasions that Jedi get boosts when they fully let go of there fear, we’ve seen it on multiple occasions… I don’t get what people are mad about, it was a great duel it’s not like she was going to win, she knew she was going to die I’m sure, she just wasn’t scared of dying… she wanted to complete here mission (stall Vader long enough for BD to get the data disk to the mansion) which she did. If people just stopped being angry for 5 minutes, and actually study the dynamics of the fight they’d maybe appreciate it more. But everyone rather cries because Vader “lost”… plus Cere is a master of the order for decades, if Cal (a Jedi knight) or a lesser padawan would have beaten him to the standstill that would have been a different story. I feel like all of this SW fans should definitely appreciate things a bit more, and stop criticizing every single thing about SW down to the molecular structure. It was a great duel, and one of my Vader fuels and I’m not not ashamed to say it lmao.
@@baki484 Literally in another thread people are arguing about Dagan using the force to cause a illusion of himself growing his arm back. It’s not that deep, as if rare abilities and lost knowledge doesn’t exist lmao. It’s quite sad some fans can’t enjoy anything, without gatekeepers complaining about every aspect of anything new. Shame to be a SW fan sometimes tbh.
@@jamariojackson4289 it's a force illusion why? People complain about these characters being too weak when they pull off something advanced it's bullshit. For the Vader fight I'm seeing people lose it even though Cere herself states that she has been waiting to face him again and she still lost (she did better than ahsoka) now it's some SJW agenda. In all honesty Respawn has shown nothing but respect for the dark lord and the moment we saw him we what was going to happen. It was a matter of how close will she get to beating him. She's not pulling things out of nowhere. I haven't been a fan of Disney starwars but respawn's starwars jedi series is literally what keeps me interested.
9:25 Bode didn’t want the empire to discover them there. If it was just a handful of people like him, Kata, Cal, and Cal’s family, they wouldve been forgotten by the empire. It’s only once Cal brings up the hidden path he betrays them.
18:29 I have seen a fan theory suggesting that Vader was intentionally going easy on Cere. that is why he was casual for most of the fight. The bookshelf stuff got him pissed off and then he started actually trying to fight, but was genuinely injured by the bookcase a bit. It is more of what legends Vader would do than canon Vader, and honestly legends Vader isn't the best, but he has some good moments.
18:12 I’d argue this makes his even more intimidating seeing as Cere is a Jedi MASTER who has been preparing to face the Sith Lord again for five years. Darth Vader he gets so badly beaten up and actually almost loses. Yet, he STILL wins and walks away like it’s just another day at the office. Getting your ass kicked and still coming out on top is way cooler than winning every encounter instantly.
the reason cere almost beat vader was probably because he was still weak from his fight with obi-wan at the end of the obi-wan show. That happened around the same time
Story in this game was meh and small number of planets idk why they show me whole galaxy sectors which are empty. My problem with the story was Bode who was the twist villain which was kinda meh bc we defeated Rayvis and Dagan already and I was like wait it's not over tho? Pls tell me there's no stupid twist in Jedha... And there was. Bode who was sus from the begining but never showed any signs for betrayal. Cheap and meh way to make the game longer.
@@Psycho_Raged Yea I found it out when i fought him. Funny story, well it wasn't funny for me at the time but anyway, took me two tries to kill him. I'm happy, go about on my collect-ti-thon, game crashes. I hadn't saved the victory over the spawn of satan. So, had to fight him again only it didn't go so well. About 50 odd attempts and me about ready to either return the game or take it out back and shoot it.
@TheAdventGamer I tried fighting it relatively early on. Just got the dual weild stance I think. Didn't bother coming back until I had the last 2 and took it out easily with the blaster stance. Charge shots interrupt the unblockable attacks.
you missed out on the caij match, on higher difficulties she does some crazy shit, she legit throws grenades at you then shoots them out of mid air, its nearly undodgable, and was very cool
With the dual blade lightsaber style you can actually block mid attack to immediately start blocking, allowing you to dodge away from an unlockable attack
I would love to go up against a Starweird in the next game Cal and Merrin would be pushed to their limits but if they work together I know they could destroy the creature a cool boss mechanic I’ve seen other games is where the enemy heals themselves up Starweirds can use force drain so if they use that mechanic in a boss like that, potentially it could heal itself up and replenish it’s healthbar and the force screams it can create could be the unblockable attack this creature was first mentioned in the old Republic game but never appeared It deserves to have a epic boss fight cause they are truly awesome in my opinion at least they are my favorite piece of deep lore
you can cheese Spawn of Oggdo. kill the droids above him while avoiding the middle of the platform. force pull the 2 hammer-raiders on the cliff just above you, bringing them down to the platform. herd them onto the platform, sprint across the middle, jump-dash to avoid falling into Oggdo’s pit, then watch the 2 hammer-raiders melt roughly 80% of Spawn of Oggdo’s health bar.
I found another way, i jumped down in the pit in a way where I would be near the entrance door in the pit so I could open it before the Boss fight starts, once you manage to open it in time, you can cheese away his health so easily. I did that right at the beginning of the game after dying to him on GM like 10 times.
I've been busy and haven't put as much time into this game as I would like, I just beat Ninth Sister and made it off Coruscant two nights ago. Prolly shouldn't have watched this before beating the game, let alone the first boss, but I gotta give y'all the watch time no matter what. I knew what I was getting into beforehand. I never struggled with Oggdo Bogdo in Fallen Order, I just kept parrying him and he couldn't do anything. Wonder if that's the case here. Vader returning is as fan servicey as you can get but glad it was seemed to be a solid duel, although nothing is going to beat horror movie killer Vader from Fallen Order Oh yeah and shoutouts to Rick, -Soldier of God- the Door Technician for getting the spotlight he deserves. His impact on Star Wars lore is insurmountable and they truly gave him the fight the match his importance
I agree with Ravis, his fight felt like a dance. I hated Bodes final fight because I felt at some point the AI was cheating with spamming unblockables or when your doing well suddenly his unblockables are undogeable.
when I fought Caij she kinda jumped off the cliff without me doing much and it became very easy the cutscene right after though didn't have caij and she was just invisible I guess
For Vader, I think the reason just first 2 phases are so easy are cause he's not trying, it's when you drop the Bookcase on him, that's when he gets pissed, and why it gets 100x harder
The reason for bode wanting to fight cal and only live on tanalore with his daughter is because cal wanted to use the planet to fight back against the empire while bode wanted to live in peace and stop fighting not wanting his daughter to be exposed to more war.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rayvis comes back considering what Durge went through in Clone Wars. Guy got stabbed, electrocuted, and exploded from inside and kept kicking. Considering Ninth Sister came back, it might be a trope.
He could definitely come back (in fact, logically he shouldn’t be dead lol) but I doubt it because it would be taking a giant shit on his coveted warriors death
I think realistically... he's dead and they nerfed Gen'Dai's natural power. I wish they took the same route as Durge but it is what it is. Thanks for watching! - Jack
@@Cytonox Anytime! And I agree that a lot of the power scaling has been flip flopped (Inquistors especially nerfed) so maybe rayvis is truly gone. Dang shame if true.
I'd say the most likely things here are 1. they've nerfed Gen'Dai. entirely possible, I don't think we've seen any Legends level feats from Disney Canon Gen'Dai or 2. Gen'Dai have the ability to choose to die/become vulnerable somehow and Rayvis chose to let Cal kill him so that he could have his warrior's death
Well Durge is considered the most powerful Gendai, and he was also cybernatically enchanced unlike Rayvis. Normal Gendai could have slower regeneration then someone like Durge. Also Gendai I believe can be killed by a slice to the brain which is how Rayvis died
Vader showing up makes sense to me because he considers Cere, a Jedi Master, unfinished business. And you can find a force echo if Bode informing Imperial Intelligence that there’s Jedi remnants on Jedha and to tell Vader. HOWEVER I do believe the fight should’ve been one of those “you’re meant to lose” bosses since Cere dies at the end anyways
as someone who played on jedi grandmaster this list is kind of laughable, the only one i actually agree with was spawn of oggdo, that shit was an actual dumpster fire to experience
I don't understand what you mean. For me this list is stupid because it's not known at what difficulty level. And I'll add that I play on jedi master and 3rd dagan era is a piece of son of a bitch and it's damn hard to beat even though I consider myself a good player I had to spend a lot of time on it. So I don't understand OP's enthusiasm for Dagan Gera because it's one of the hardest bosses in the game, right after ogdo bogdo and double rancor/ogdo bogdo.
actually Denvik and some force echos explain Bode quite well he came to Denvik, a former intelligence officer of the Republic now works for the Empire to struck a deal Denvik basically keeps Bode and Kata safe from the Inquisitors and Vader but Bode uses his power and intelligence skill to infiltrate the rebel forces, that why this imperial agency is weirdly effecient because Bode and Kata are both force sensitive, they wouldnt end well in Vader's hand
Yes his backstory is explained but in the story the twist itself is in the same time random (bc there were no signs for it through the story) and easily predictable ( the last character from new team which eaxh member died already so it's sus he still here and we just killed "main villains" Dagan and Rayvis (who were better antagonist). So there was an empty space in terms of main villain and final boss. I would prefer another Dagan fight than a random dude who is seemingly more powerfull than a jedi master and also a fallen jedi himself.
I mean cere spent 5 years learning more of the ways of the force preparing for him in case he shows up (though it’s a shame her lightsaber isn’t white cause it would say it was trilla’s crystal) so it doesn’t really bother me cause there are Jedi that have came close to beating him not to mention cere managed to get nearly a large majority of the Jedi archives so it’s safe to say she definitely read all of them
The actual improvement in boss quality from fallen order is insane I would argue every major boss from dagan Gera 2 is better then all of the best in fallen order
Yeah… bump that difficulty up to grandmaster and a good chunk of these change. Dagan’s 3rd fight is obnoxious compared to the first two. Vader was still great though lol Edit: a really nice touch is that Cere is just straight up stronger than Cal. Not only can she cut right through troopers’ defenses, but even her parry windows are way longer. And she can do the double blade blaster parry with one blade
12:48 I don't think he fought Cal because he blamed him for the order's collapse. Since the order is gone Degan now feels free to persue Tanalor again and as I understood it thinks that Cal will stand in his way of reaching his goal.
Never let the guy with the nerd voice speak again. Also I can’t believe the low rank of Vader because of Lore. They had the respect to let Cere fight instead of Cal cause power levels. Yet that wasn’t enough for these terminal nerds. The fight didn’t humiliate Vader in the slightest. Not like other media that has him losing limbs like he was made out of Lego!
Darth Vader was actually my favorite fight in the game, and I don’t really think Cere keeping up with him ruins his godlike status. The fact he is more methodical and slow throughout the first part of the fight kind of shows how he doesn’t really take her threat seriously. She is just another Jedi to him. Even his force attacks are more casual shrugs than some extreme movement. It was only when he realized she wasn’t afraid of him did he start being more aggressive. It really shows how Anakin’s cockiness never went away. Plus he might have wanted to see if she potentially flirted with the dark side like the last time they battled.
My only complaint came up when you were talking about how some stances have multi swings for one button press, specifically the dual blade. You do know that the dual blade can block/parry mid swing right? It’s the special ability for it
So did you guys miss the all the lines of dialogue where Bode talks about not wanting the Hidden Path to be given access to Tanalorr because he knows the Empire will inevitably hunt them down and he and his daughter could get caught in the crossfire? Bruh
For the spawn of oggdo you can force pull those hammer guys off the cliff then bait them to the trap door and double jump back out to have them fall into the pit they took it down to about 1/3 of its health. F that frog. The double fight I just used saber throws then to refill my force meter used a couple spam attacks or stims then back to throwing took me about 2 hours to beat them still.
Y’all must have been playing with your ears closed, the game tells you Bode was a Jedi that was part of the high republics spy agency and used his skills to disappear after order 66. When the inquisitors found him and killed his wife he made a deal with Denvik to work with him under the table in exchange for protection from the inquisitors and the emperor.
Really? I beat him first try on knight without using many stim canisters. Persian my I found the hardest story boss to be Vader at just because I’m impatient and having the lack of stims and only one type of Saber really threw me off
@@EthanWilliams-eh5jc yeah it’s the second hardest. I still had some difficulty on others and honestly I suck at video games. I didn’t say he was extremely easy just easier than the others. It’s all proportional so lowering the difficulty doesn’t change the order of boss difficulty. A hard boss will be harder than a medium boss regardless of difficulty
I feel like vaders fight going the same way it did, aka him actually nearly losing, could have worked if they just changed the start of it. Cere says that she been preparing and all she does is lower the platform for them to fight, like what? It would make more sense if she had some traps, ways to disrupt his breathing device and so on, you know, actually preparing.
Btw the more you explore the game the more echos you can find about bode, he is alive because he clouds his connection to the force (kinda like what palps did during the clone wars), and he struck a deal with a ISB base leader to keep his daughter safe and hidden, in exchange for bode doing work for the ISB guy. Bode is now a fallen Jedi because he is so focused on keeping his daughter safe that he is blind to the fact that he is hurting his daughter and people he doesn’t need to be fighting, in short: he was kept hidden by a ISB officer while also clouding/hiding his connection to the force and got so focused on keeping his daughter safe that he fell to the dark side Also no he is not an inquisitor, we know that because (somewhere at the ISB base) someone says “he is way more useful than the machine of the inquisitorious” (referring to Bode) also that’s not the exact quote it’s something around the lines of that But I get why you ranked it low, it is a short scripted fight that doesn’t last long, but I would say that it is cool because it reveals he was a Jedi, and gives a transition into playing as Cere while leaving you worried about cal (not really cause you know there’s going to be a third game or at least the devs want to make a third
For bode I take his logic as he thinks that using the planet for what cal wanted would lure the empires attention to it which he didn’t want. Still a bit dumb that he killed cordova though.
I've beaten almost every other boss on this list besides the bounty hunters and most of the side bosses, with only 5-9 maybe 10 tries except for vader a bode, it took me a day and a half to beat vader and I still haven't beaten bode yet. I agree tho that Rayvis's death could have been better than just any other lightsaber swing
This sounds a lot like how Granblue Fantasy VS works. I dont know if you e played that ir experienced it, but this seems to work very very similar. I found that it was fun
wow....... cytonox again with silly AFcomments.
*bawk bawk* are you scared of droids ? your feathers are growing with every chicken squak like from home
rick sucks hes not even a boss he dies in one hit xd
the frame is not a problem either, you play the game, don't cry, it's not a portrait, baby.
the plot with bode is super good, it betrays you but it also has reasons that make it perhaps better than cal.
boba fett is my favorite video on youtube maybe.
vader: kill brute force and use books

My understanding was that Bode was originally just fine with Cal and the others going to Tanalorr with him and Kata. But when they decided to bring the hidden path there, he decided that with that came the inevitability of the Empire finding them, so he decided that it could only be him and his daughter
Hell bode even asked when the empire shows up if cal would protect her
You're correct. They must've missed that or something
Only smooth brained people missed that
@@562.anthony2 unfortunately that seems to be a lot of people. Plenty of folks are out here calling Bode a bad villain because they didn't get it
@@jacobcenter7374 yea it is kind of annoying when you see people dislike something when it was spelt out for you the whole time. like bro did some of these players even watch the cutscenes? numerous times bode kept saying "can we go alone" "lets go there before the hidden path" etc, and clear discomfort whenever cal brought up bringing them there, bro was more than happy to go to tanalor with cal and his gang until he kept insisting on bringing some of the empires most wanted, he probably wouldve told cal everything and asked for him to help him take out denvik so his secret can stay hidden if cal wasnt so insistent on bringing attention to the planet

The Ninth Sister is a classic example of "Confirm your kills"
Kinda can’t do that since she fell off a giant tree last game.
i'm glad they brought her back, the beheading was a game highlight for me - Jack
rule number 2
In Star Wars, fall damage does not exist
as is Cere, Vader sure is heavily overrated
That Oggdo rant was pure poetry capturing my misery of dying 50 times to this piece of shit more eloquently than I ever could
I was stitches because of it.
Like I said in another video. This was a "I know I'm going to die here but by the force I'm going to buy as much time with my life as I possibly can."
i guess, i just prefer it when vader's portrayed as a mortal god, i feel like in recent times he's been getting increasingly overpowered by almost everyone he fights.
@@Cytonox I agree that Vader has been over saturated by Disney as of recently.
That is a very reasonable assumption, he’s still nuts with how far he goes for it, but that logic feels very consistent for someone who knows how far the empire will go to hunt jedi.
honestly the only part of Bode's entire betrayal that makes no sense is him murdering Eno Cordova.
like everything else that he did fits in with his character and motivations
but he had no motive to kill Cordova, killing him didn't get Bode anything, Cordova wasn't threatening him in any way, and chances are that Cordova would've just died a few minutes later anyway when Vader showed up.
the only reason for Bode to shoot him was so that the developers could easily (and somewhat lazily) go "look how evil this guy now is, kill him"
The only reason I could think of is maybe Bode thought because Cordova successfully repaired the wayfinder (I don't remember what it's called, I'll go with that), he'd be capable of creating another one entirely (especially if they'll need to create more for the hidden path) or worse was captured and could produce it for the empire as a prisoner.

Glad to see that u guys liked Rayvis, he was definitely top 3 for me due to how unique and cool the character and combat design for him was
I absolutely respect cere, like I am absolutely sick of literally every single person seeing vader as this invulnerable god or some sh*t.
Fun fact: you can stop your second swing with the double sabers by pressing L1. The game even has a hint card about it.
@@kieranwrightstone2199 cal vs. vader would be hard i wonder what would go down
@@Cytonox True
Nah at the time of the Purge she was just a Jedi Master. The latest addition to the Council before Order 66 Was Obi Wan I think
I guess killing of cere and cordova was a way to propel Cal to become a jedi master in the next game, as well as introducing him to his struggle against the dark side.
May rick the door technician live forever in our hearts as a true hero and showing us what it means to be an imperial
Judging by your ranking of Vader it’s safe to say you don’t know that Vader is not untouchable and that Cere is a Jedi *MASTER* so Cere *NEARLY* beating him completely works.
auoongap! biolnar acupgmanoyyy ahugnk blaroooo reweyyalwabol oing oingyoop

For me Vader was the hardest fight, but that might’ve just been because I was so used to guard canceling with dual wield stance that the lack of it fucked me up
Looooool I feel you
Same I hadn't used single blade since the very beginning of the game
My headcanon that Rayvis is really old Gen'Dai, so his regeneration isn't as good as it would be at his prime, so he was able to die with enough slices
Also, death by big ray of death, isn't very honourable way to go, so i have no issues here
THANK YOU thought i was going insane seeing that no other reviewers were pointing out what they coulda done with the rayvis boss fight
I’m so happy Rick the Door Technician wasn’t last.
The first one about the frog had me laughing so hard
I kind of wish the 9th sister had more time in game.

I think Ninth sisters ultra instinct is actually her sensing your emotions and predicted your attack Pattern
She has the ability to sense emotions in the canon
I actually like how they did Bode
I do not think you are supposed to understand him the point of him is how the dark side has corrupted his Noble intentions so much so that in your fight he is literally snarling like a beast in wrath and almost forgets his daughter is there he is so determined to kill you
I actually like how they do it to show just how much the dark side can corrupt what were originally noble intentions
I was having a terrible day, but after watching this NEW Cytonox video, this is now the best day of my life!

You guys are so Damm funny. I couldn't agree more with the ogdoo description.
9:25 Bode didn’t want the empire to discover them there. If it was just a handful of people like him, Kata, Cal, and Cal’s family, they wouldve been forgotten by the empire. It’s only once Cal brings up the hidden path he betrays them.
100% agree with what you said about Cere VS Vader. For Vader, someone like her should be a generic Tuesday workshift
Rick the Door Technician redefined what a boss fight is, it maybe the greatest boss in video game history and has changed my life forever.
I think the game wanted to imply (but couldnt show because Disney) that Cal used his lightsaber to destroy Rayvis's brain.
it looked like it hit his chest or something to me, but that would explain it
@@Cytonox he does lean forwards to expose his neck so the way it looks to me is that it was a beheading.

I’d argue this makes his even more intimidating seeing as Cere is a Jedi MASTER who has been preparing to face the Sith Lord again for five years. Darth Vader he gets so badly beaten up and actually almost loses. Yet, he STILL wins and walks away like it’s just another day at the office.
Getting your ass kicked and still coming out on top is way cooler than winning every encounter instantly.
That dude who made the boba fett video is a menace
One reason for Vader being so pissed is because this happens not long after his loss to Obi-wan in the show
the reason cere almost beat vader was probably because he was still weak from his fight with obi-wan at the end of the obi-wan show. That happened around the same time
Great video super funny 👍🏾
Also you can cancel attacks in dual wield only in case you didn’t know
Fun fact about skritons if you use the crossguard stance against them you can cut off their big pincer
5:34 thank you bro, been telling people the animation canceling and dodge while attacking is horrible in this game
The dodge is garbage I can attest to that. I just abuse the dodge.

My problem with the story was
Bode who was the twist villain which was kinda meh bc we defeated Rayvis and Dagan already and I was like wait it's not over tho? Pls tell me there's no stupid twist in Jedha... And there was. Bode who was sus from the begining but never showed any signs for betrayal. Cheap and meh way to make the game longer.

I tried fighting it relatively early on.
Vader returning is as fan servicey as you can get but glad it was seemed to be a solid duel, although nothing is going to beat horror movie killer Vader from Fallen Order
Oh yeah and shoutouts to Rick, -Soldier of God- the Door Technician for getting the spotlight he deserves. His impact on Star Wars lore is insurmountable and they truly gave him the fight the match his importance
I just noticed cal does the same move as the 2nd sister when he jumps on the ship and tries to take it down
I agree with Ravis, his fight felt like a dance.
The fact that they're procreating I'm in tears
The reason for bode wanting to fight cal and only live on tanalore with his daughter is because cal wanted to use the planet to fight back against the empire while bode wanted to live in peace and stop fighting not wanting his daughter to be exposed to more war.
I feel like Rick The Door Technician and Electrocutioner would get along great.
The worst part of spawn of oggdo is just how much fucking health it has. You throw a 20 combo at it and they just shrug it off and 2 shot you
I wouldn't be surprised if Rayvis comes back considering what Durge went through in Clone Wars.
I'd say the most likely things here are
1. they've nerfed Gen'Dai. entirely possible, I don't think we've seen any Legends level feats from Disney Canon Gen'Dai
or 2.
I like coming back here, and listen to this pure hate to spawn of oggdo
Vader showing up makes sense to me because he considers Cere, a Jedi Master, unfinished business. And you can find a force echo if Bode informing Imperial Intelligence that there’s Jedi remnants on Jedha and to tell Vader. HOWEVER I do believe the fight should’ve been one of those “you’re meant to lose” bosses since Cere dies at the end anyways
Cere vs vader actually makes alot of sense she held her own for a while.
as someone who played on jedi grandmaster this list is kind of laughable, the only one i actually agree with was spawn of oggdo, that shit was an actual dumpster fire to experience
The hysterical part is spawn of Oggdo Bogdo was tougher than Vader😂
actually Denvik and some force echos explain Bode quite well
he came to Denvik, a former intelligence officer of the Republic now works for the Empire to struck a deal
Denvik basically keeps Bode and Kata safe from the Inquisitors and Vader but Bode uses his power and intelligence skill to infiltrate the rebel forces, that why this imperial agency is weirdly effecient
because Bode and Kata are both force sensitive, they wouldnt end well in Vader's hand
Vader was still great though lol
Edit: a really nice touch is that Cere is just straight up stronger than Cal.
@@josetomascamposrobledano4618 we love you sir
@@Cytonox and I love the one who didn’t have the bad voice
@josetomascamposrobledano4618 ❤️
Unlike first game I would say the hardest boss was in the middle being rayvis the others were mostly easy somehow
we’ll have a bit to say on that soon in our difficulty ranking, spoiler alert though we did find him on the harder side for sure
@@Cytonox damn glad to hear you guys are back ive been waiting for this video since I played the game
Really? I beat him first try on knight without using many stim canisters. Persian my I found the hardest story boss to be Vader at just because I’m impatient and having the lack of stims and only one type of Saber really threw me off
@@obi-wankenoli6073 cuz u were on knight difficulty
I thought u guys would have a mil subscribers based on the quality of ur videos
Dagan definitely won the best boss fight for me as soon as he flipped the duel on the fucking ceiling 😂
I'll say this when Bode slapped BD. I never felt anger like that towards a character in a video game. Except Micha Bell.
Bode is now a fallen Jedi because he is so focused on keeping his daughter safe that he is blind to the fact that he is hurting his daughter and people he doesn’t need to be fighting, in short: he was kept hidden by a ISB officer while also clouding/hiding his connection to the force and got so focused on keeping his daughter safe that he fell to the dark side
Also no he is not an inquisitor, we know that because (somewhere at the ISB base) someone says “he is way more useful than the machine of the inquisitorious” (referring to Bode) also that’s not the exact quote it’s something around the lines of that
But I get why you ranked it low, it is a short scripted fight that doesn’t last long, but I would say that it is cool because it reveals he was a Jedi, and gives a transition into playing as Cere while leaving you worried about cal (not really cause you know there’s going to be a third game or at least the devs want to make a third
On rancor just take double lightsaber stance and you beat him in less than 30 seconds even on grandmaster. Problem is, when there is 2 rancors.
Ravis looks like an overwatch character
Yes, I am that guy that plays defense and parries all the attacks just to get a 3 point combo cuz I like to play it safe
For bode I take his logic as he thinks that using the planet for what cal wanted would lure the empires attention to it which he didn’t want. Still a bit dumb that he killed cordova though.
I died to Rick like 30 times before I won but he got my down to 1 hit it was so scary 😨
Spawn of oggdo is easy once you have the parry push or the gun parry ability (both work on Unblockables, and staggers oggdo)
