I cut the downsides of the holster because they messed up the flow of the video, and to be honest they came off a super picky. So I’ll type them here. 1.) This holster makes it impossible to carry an optics ready variant thus equipped (not that I care). One of the valuable things about carrying a Canik is cross compatibility. 2.) the actual clip portion of the clip they have chosen to use is a design that I don’t really care for. It’s geared toward taking your holster off quickly. I cannot think of a scenario that this is valuable for your average person. I would prefer they went to a clip that doesn’t have a rounded stop because sometimes if you pull hard enough you can get this clip type to jump the belt. 3.) I would like to see them use two tensioning screws with gaskets instead of one. This will reduce the stress on the pivot joint and extend the life of the holster. Also there were some other things that were positive that I cut for time: 1.) there is a barrel channel cut out of the bottom for anyone who wants to use a longer/threaded barrel. 2.) the strut is adjustable 3.) the clip pivot also has a ride height function 4.) the edges are all polished for comfort
Kinda pathetic to see adult men wearing "hip jewelry" as they walk around in public. At least a watch on your wrist is actually something you use throughout the average day.
Thanks for the video, Curtis! We really appreciate the time and the feedback! I did want to touch up on a few things. We are always happy to make accommodations for Pistol Mounted Optics on all of our holsters, and it can be selected easily during the customization process. We also designed our V3 Gun Belt to be a minimalist, quick on and off solution. Once you set the size you like and utilize the included SBK(Silicone Belt Keeper) to help keep the bulge down during the break in period, all you have to do is slide the loop on and off of the belt buckle. We did this to ensure there is no need to undo the velcro every time you wear the belt. Thanks again for the insightful video!
Have you checked out the groove belt yet? I got a groove ring and love it then I got the groove belt and have been very happy with how it feels on my waist
I've been using that Vedder holster with my P-10C for two years. The metal clip is great and other than minor superficial scuffs has not caused any real damage to my kydex reinforced leather Hanks Belt. I noticed that the "claw" having some wiggle to it caused the tensioning screw to come loose constantly so I ended up roughing up the surface of it with sand paper, epoxied it in place, then carefully drilled a hole through the claw and the kydex so I could rivet it permanently in place.
You should try the fat guy holster from Jxtactical. I have a similar build to you and it makes it very easy to carry appendix. Takes a little bit of training to get used to it though.
I didn’t learn anything new, but I’m not calling you an idiot. I wish I would have seen this video 10 years ago, it will be a great video to share with people new to carrying a gun (or people that need a bit of help).
Great video, just subscribed. Also I thought I was the only one who carried an extra magazine in my pocket. I tried carrying with a sidecar holster with a extra magazine but that particular style of carry is only good in hoodie or jacket weather when you know you’re not going to be taking off layers to get comfortable. But the perfect all year round carry for me is exactly like you said. A kydex holster for appendix carry and a spare magazine or two in your pocket. And carrying that extra magazine in your pocket also relieves the stress of getting your garments caught while doing a magazine change. Keep up the great content bro 💯💪🏾🤟🏽

I carry a usp45 tactical any day I can. It's certainly not a shorts and t-shirt type of EDC firearm. Finding a holster that fits the suppressor hight sights and the threaded barrel. Is a pain in the ass to say the least. Then I found Vedder Holster. They went out of their way to build me the best holster I have for my favorite EDC handgun. If Vedder doesn't advertise having a holster for your oddball weapon reach out and see if they can help you. I think you will be glad you did. I don't get paid to send them work. I bring this up because I know how big a pain in the ass it can be to find a holster if you don't carry a 1911, Glock, shield, or the same gun everyone else has.

Why would curling the very edge of the holster toward the body not be extremely uncomfortable? That and slide lock lever channel which span the full length down the middle of the holster creating a raised ridge is just as bad. I think you just have to experiment for approximately your whole lifetime and keep doing what works for you. For appendix my favorite holster is actually a floppy soft leather unit that was cheap when I bought it years ago. I would never recommend for anyone to reholster a loaded gun into a holster in the appendix position. This is statistically the most common time for a surprise ND, and boy would it be a bad one. Even more likely when you consider the stress of a self defense situation. I just remove the holster with my left hand, slide the gun back in while aimed in a safe direction, then put the holstered safe gun back in place. If I was involved in a self defense situation I would keep my gun out until right before the police get there. Then maybe Jackie Chan that bitch real quick. PS I do have a custom kydex aiwb and it's cool. I just reach for 'ol floppy more often when I don't just OWB at 3.
