You don’t have to tell me twice. I’ve been with USCCA since 2019, the Elite package. The premium just surpassed $70 per month, and I never left the house!! I just finished my enrollment with CCW Safe Got their Ultimate package for just over $40 per month. I’ll call the other guys Monday and cancel with them. I’m living on retirement income now so that $30 savings is a big deal. Always appreciate the “heads up”, Mick.
@@Bulldog75stp I don't like USCCA because they give you "free" stuff if you sign up. It feels like a marketing business. It membership is pricey. USCCA can ask you to payback attorney and court fees if you are found guilty in court.
I just saw a video where the person was going through the contract WITH USCCA and it seems that in the contract they will not cover if charged with a crime. Most places will charge you if they can. Do you have a paper copy of your policy contract with you that you can see if this is indeed there. Thanks.
Attorneys on retainer will cover you even if you’re carrying unlawfully (as long as it’s self defense) so if you accidentally drive into NY and have to defend yourself they will support you! That’s a real company.
Exactly, all these other companies look for reasons to NOT cover you! This includes CCW, USCCA and others. Go with "Attorney's on Retainer"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a member, I asked Law Shield a legal question about carry to an upcoming convention. They sent me a useless form letter the day after I got back from the convention. I got no reply to any follow up requests for clarification. They sure sent me over a dozen demands for money when my membership approached expiration, though. I just asked CCWS the same question. They answered me twice, the same day. Clearly, CCWS is hungry and responsive and Johnny-on-the-spot. Who would you want repping you in a judicial battle?
I'd like Attorneys on Retainers because no matter if the technicalities of the judicial system (or politics) say I was legal or "illegally" carrying my gun at a certain place , they will still represent me and not drop me like ANY insurance based plan (such as CCW Safe). They also won't require me to pay back any fees if there is an unfavorable judgment against me.
I’ve had CCW Safe for several years now and totally love them. I work in law enforcement and carry at least 1 firearm on me at all times when I’m not at work. With CCW Safe, I ended up choosing them after doing tons of research between the different self defense companies and policies offered. I saw lots of advertisements and commercials for USCCA and almost went with them but when I compared what they offered in conjunction with CCW Safe, the benefits and coverage offered through CCW Safe was far better! I then researched what people were saying about CCW Safe and what folks who had it and had to use it had to say as well. Once I saw that, CCW Safe was the clear cut choice. USCCA had recoupment costs if folks were found guilty, even if they were not. Everything that was said in this video was true! If anyone has any questions concerning CCW Safe, please feel free to ask me anything you want about it because I truly do think CCW Safe offers the best coverage out of every self defense company/insurance available!
Lawyer, is it on me to find one? Or will they provide one.? I don’t know any lawyers. So when I get my one phone call, sitting in jail is this when I’m calling hotline for representation hoping to talk to a lawyer?
@@MachineGod69, with your phone call, yes call them first! And in jail you get more than 1 phone call. You can buy phone time but always call them first! If you are in a self defense situation, call the Police first. Tell them you were in a self defense situation and were in fear of either serious bodily injury or death, you will fully cooperate with them but you want to speak to an attorney first but until then you will be exercising your right to remain silent and then do exactly that! If possible, call CCW Safe before law enforcement shows up or while they are there. Every policy comes with a card that has a number to call 24/7 365. And then they get to work. The night after Christmas 2021 I had at least 2 people attempt to break into my house. Fortunately, I have numerous layers of security they would of had to defeat but if they had I was in a very good tactical position to have shot them the moment they breached my door. They left literally 2 minutes before local arrived. But after local showed up I still called CCW Safe in the event that any false accusations were made. And they were amazing. I actually work in law enforcement too but I still wanted them called even though there was overwhelming video evidence of the event. Nothing ever happened on my end as I knew it wouldn’t but having CCW Safe was a huge relief because had they entered my house, they would have then been shot!
@@MachineGod69 If you are involved in an incident CCW Safe does not have a list of attorneys, they will patch you through to one of their attorneys so you can talk to someone right after the incident occurs to tell you what to say and not to say and you will have attorney client privilege. Once they know where you are at they will send out the critical response team and find the best self defense attorney in your local area and vet them for you.
J. R. I watched a video a few years back, maybe John @ Warrior Poet Society? and there was an attorney that was also a USCCA shooter, and he recommended the best in order companies. USCCA was 1st, CCWSAFE was 2. As he went down a list of good & bad and I looked up USCCA's policy and I saw that if you take a plea deal, they'll recoup their expenses. CCWSAFE doesn't.
@@skipperclinton1087, that was a big reason why I chose CCW Safe! There were other reasons too. With USCCA, they have paid numerous firearms channels for their support thus why they get preferential treatment. But when you actually look at both companies there is no way I am convinced USCCA is better. At least not for me!
Great video and breakdown. I literally paused the video 90% of the way in and called USCCA to cancel my membership. I realized I was paying for material I never use (online videos, access to old magazines, etc) and policy that is probably not the best for me and my family. I am signing up for CCWSafe right now and for $7 more compared to what I was paying USCCA, it will include my wife.
CCW Safe is by far and away the BEST coverage available today, yesterday and probably tomorrow.Unlike some snake oil salesmen who thought branching out into this market could make them a fortune, CCW safe doesn’t need to raffle off new Harleys to entice you to sign up.
I presently have USCCA, and until about two months ago I was at the Elite (highest) level of membership for about $49.00 per month, I think. Then I found out that all three membership levels have the VERY SAME insurance coverage with the VERY SAME limits of coverage. So, I asked them what are the actual differences between the three individual levels. They explained that at the Elite level you get access to back issues of the magazine online? What? I'm paying extra for that? I don't even read the magazine. Usually toss it immediately upon receipt. They also said that with Elite you get to submit questions for the attorney online Q@A video. Don't need it. Answers I usually have, that same attorney answers them on UA-cam all the time. So ... I cut my membership down to the basic level for about $26.00. I had never gotten around to reading the contract, but for various reasons, being a reasonably intelligent person and seeing suspicious signals with their merchandise marketing bullshit and way too many GunTuber sponsorships, today I've decided to switch to CCW Safe.
The recoupment policy is what really did it for me. I compared all of them before I got my ccw and its obvious which company I found first. Free range bag, multi tool, blah blah blah.. all the adds. All the sponsored personalities. Which is fine. But after looking into and comparing everyone the choice was pretty clear to me. Ccw safe is head and shoulders above the competition for me.
I purchased CCW SAFE when I got my concealed weapon and firearm license last Feb 2022. I did lots of research and asked a lot of questions. Bottom line. I retired 2 years ago and saved my money for us to have a great life. God forbid I ever have to pull my weapon and defend myself, I want to know that I have a company be that will work to defend me and knowing that I have enough coverage for my defense and not have to be wiped out financially.in the process.
This is a pretty good rundown of why I went with CCW Safe instead of USCCA - I pay out the ass for it and their training and advice can be borderline fuddlore at times, but the policy itself is good. One thing to keep in mind is that CCW Safe does not cover any domestic incidents
Affordable depends on who's paying. Whats "out the ass" for one person may only be just a "drop in the bucket for another. Dont jump on the man for being honest.
I have had USCCA for a long time, but added FLP because I think at this point, I consider USCCA as more of a training service and magazine subscription.
Were you aware that, if they aren't licensed to sell insurance in your state then you have no recourse for an unpaid claim except to send them an angry letter? Did you take any of these policies to your homeowners insurance agent and ask them to compare coverages and costs against standard umbrella GL? Try that. You can thank me later.
See my post at the top of the thread about primary versus excess insurance. They won't pay anything until you have lost the case and all your other insurance has paid their max.
Agree 100%. They should be paying you. You did a great job laying it all out. Kudos to you for taking the time to do it. I'm in my 2nd year of membership.
These are the reasons I switched from USCCA to CCWCarry after 5 years. #1) USCCA has a recoupment provision in their policy. CCWSafe will not seek reimbursement, even if a guilty verdict. #2) CCWSafe will provide coverage for the expungement of the criminal record following a guilty verdict. #3) If found guilty USCCA will not continue with your criminal defense. CCWsafe will cover retrials, mistrials, and appeals. #4) CCWSafe offers 40 sessions of professional counseling up to $150 each ($6,000). #5) CCWSafe has red flag or extreme risk protection coverage. #6) CCWSafe covers self defense against vicious animals for yourself or a third party.
Thank you for your presentation, this is a very important subject for CC insurance members. As with any insurance or for that matter most services or products purchased it is always a good idea to determine what your actual need is and your projected costs, which allows you to make an informed decision.
I know this video is old but thank you for your help in this matter. I was looking at USSCA US LawShield or CCW Safe and I am going to go with CCW Safe. I was leaning towards them after reading through all of there coverages and this video helped make the decision easier.
I've been researching now for weeks. I too almost went with USCCA. That might be a great fit for some and I thought it was for me as well. I went to the BBB, read reviews and saw videos where other lawyers went thru the finer points in the contract. Made me get with the program on another level and realize, wow - NOT for me. I researched approx 5 other companies and this plan here seems to be the best coverage I could ask for within reason. Good video - everything explained is everything on the website from top to bottom so I didn't really learn anything new, but the responses here as to who used USCCA, why some switched from that insurer or another was extremely helpful. I'll be going with them moving forward. The free coverage of the spouse at home part was also a big plus. So that helped sell me and prove that this could be beneficial should it be needed along with adding additional coverage for certain coverage. Thanks everyone for the input and sharing the experiences you've had with other companies. USCCA keeps claiming right now that they removed my name, email and number off their list but they keep emailing me. That was a complaint on the BBB when I looked that up 😂. Even admitted it on the last email today and I asked, then why are having a discussion when you were asked not to contact me. Smh. CCW Safe has now got my attention and a I'll be a new client.
I've had texas law shield for several years. Switched to ccw safe a little over a month ago based off my research. Good to get validation from someone I can respect.
I’m a Law of Self Defense Member as well and Andrew Branca highly recommends CCW Safe as well, but acknowledges it’s still a personal decision that you must be educated in and make sure it’s the best fit for you. I definitely agree that they are for me.
Thank you for putting together these valuable information and questions. I have USCCA and will now make a true comparison to see if I have all the right coverage and experienced lawyers and investigators to protect me and my family. Great video. Thank You
One thing to look at when considering an organization to cover your legal expenses is whether the coverage is through an insurance company or a prepaid legal services plan. The main difference is that an insurance company is forbidden by law to cover illegal acts, which means that an insurance company is required by law (probably laws written by insurance company lawyers) to try to recoup its expenses from you if you are found guilty either after a trial or a plea agreement and the insurance company will not pay your legal expenses for an appeal. CCW Safe is a prepaid legal expenses organization, which is why they do'n't, and by contract can't, recoup their expenses if you are found guilty and pay your legal expenses for an appeal. I am not endorsing CCW Safe in particular; you do your own shopping. Another one to look at it U.S. Law Shield. By the way, the major player that offers its coverage of legal expenses through an insurance company that the Carry Trainer would not name is USCCA, the United States Concealed Carry Association.
I just got CCW safe today. Somebody was following us home last night, I think I went into a parking lot by my home with security and he took off, maybe he was Doordash, not sure. That is why a carry and got CCW safe!
The problem with all of the insurance plans is that they want all the details of the case and the lawyer has to communicate with them on all of it. Doesn't seem that bad until you realize that all the communions between your lawyer and the insurance company is discoverable. Which means you don't have attorney client privilege. There is Attorneys on retainer who aren't insurance and is a law firm who deals directly with you. Costs about $35 a month. Also ACLDN which also isn't an insurance company and just pays an attorney of your choosing, however I'm not sure how much info they demand from the lawyer.
And, in a little bit of irony, UA-cam ran ads for USCCA during this video. This was a good presentation and summarizes why I have decided to go with CCW Safe.
I have been a member for several years now and chose CCW Safe for their coverage and contract. Fortunately I have not needed the service but sleep well knowing I am covered in an emergency!
@@MusicLuv80 if you need to shoot an intruder or burglar with it you will still go to court over it and need to pay a lot of money. It’s a small investment that will save you far more money if you ever need to discharge your firearm.
I believe Attorney's on Retainer is MUCH better! Watch their videos and explanations. It is eye opening just how bad the other companies are. They read the fine print and that is what you need to do.
No, they don't. If you are charged with a crime, it is illegal for them to pay a defense lawyer. If it is civil suits then you do better with liability coverage from any major national carrier. Are they licensed to sell insurance in your state? Are they licensed at all? If not, then you have no way to protest an unpaid claim but to write them an angry letter. Take it to your regular insurance agent and have them explain why it is such trash.
The only issue I have with this, and it still could be better to have this insurance then not, is when ccwsafe says this: "covered to the level of a $500K bond for all legal use of force responses to life-threatening attacks at their home, inside their vehicle, in any location where it is legal to carry in public, or on premises where possession of a firearm is not illegal (all legal weapons covered)". The "on premises where possession of a firearm is not illegal" is the part that concerns me. Concerns me because where I live (Illinois - yeah I know), almost EVERYWHERE I go, I see those no guns allowed stickers, although we are allowed to carry in public with a CCW license. So most of the 'premises', at least what I have noticed would be indefensible because of the no guns sticker, idk. I probably just need to move, lol.
The signs in Illinois must have the state statute underneath the no firearm sign. If not then it’s strictly a warning from the business owner but you’re not violating any law if the incorrect sign is posted.
I just posted a similar question. In the communist state of California, the gov is declaring various vague rules regarding gun free zones, the rules also seem dynamic in nature as the changing environment ie the presence of a healthcare team like paramedics or a random clinic in a shopping plaza would render an area like the plaza parking lot gun free. It's just so arbitrary and ridiculous, which is no doubt by design. I'm ready to sign up but that same clause has me apprehensive. I know of no other "insurer" who explicitly states this would not disqualify the insuree from coverage
Thank you, Carry Trainer for the recommendation of CCW Safe. I had US Law Shield. But considering your advice and some other things I have been informed of, I have signed up with CCW SAFE! It really sounds like a good deal! May God bless you😊🙏👍👍
All these videos can be distilled into "read the exceptions why they can not pay for your defense" and pick the one that's the least bad. Basically any of them that involve an insurance company in any facet are required to drop you essentially immediately if you didn't do everything perfect -- and if you did everything perfect you probably don't need that much help in the first place. The short version is - work directly with lawyers not with middle men.
This is a partially accurate statement. Just partially. In fact, that's the problem. Working with lawyers is great. I know many, all of whom will gladly bill a client 6 figures or more. Second pushback, not all lawyers are experts in self defense. In fact, most aren't. Criminal law specialists are something different. Third point. With CCWSAFE you aren't hiring a "middleman" as you state. You are joining a group of experts. Last point. They have defended and won cases. Their team is top people. These are facts, not speculation.
@@CarryTrainer If there is an insurance company involved, it's the wrong choice. There may be other wrong choices, but you CANNOT have an insurance company behind the scenes responsible for your defense. You're going to get screwed.
Could you speak on CCW and the the clause where they drop the suit if it’s family members friends or significant others that you have to self defend against?
They drop coverage if you are charged with a crime. For civil coverage, regular homeowners insurance does a LOT better. Ask your agent. If they deny a claim, and are not licensed to sell insurance in your state, your only recourse is to write an angry letter.
Glad I found this video. Been researching for awhile now. Once I read the little details, CCW was better. Cost slightly more but the cost is minuscule.
Been a uscca member for 2 yrs.... I need to switch. More coverage for cheaper and I had no idea might have to pay them back if found guilty.... And in this type of climate anything is possible.
201civil court cases as paralegal. 12ccw permits 12 states (&septic tank WashingtonDC). 6th year with them. 1 shoot, hand cuffs off in 2 hours with them talking to District Attorney on phone. Even the cops wanted to know who's my Attorney!
wow. i was just about to join until i read some of the restrictions on the website. i''m a diabetic and take medications. my wife has a compressed disc in her neck and sciatic nerve damage in her legs where she takes pain meds. this statement on restrictions is a deal breaker. 'Use of force while under the influence of judgment-altering substances (e.g., alcohol, controlled substances, or *prescribed medication*, etc.) there's always something. P.S. we are both permitted. thanks anyway.
My question is: If you have 2 active insurances, can you use both of them at the same time? In there any clause that prohibit this practice? Two brains work better than one. I have US Texas Shield and CCW Safe.
I spent a few months going line by line with different companies with regards to their policies and concluded CCW Sage is the right choice. A few of them are scary!!
Just came across your video… well done, and definitely agree, I think CCWSafe is the best out there, it’s what I have. I will say though, the one thing I disagree with is the analysis on the recoupment clause. I think it’s an even bigger thing than you make it out to be - having that clause in there could affect your legal strategy. I’ve worked in the legal field (as a non-attorney, but still being intimately involved with case evaluation and strategy sessions) for years. If you are *found* guilty, that clause is meaningless unless you are already privately wealthy. They just aren’t going to be able to recover from someone spending their life in prison, and I doubt they can go after your family - at best maybe large joint assets, but they know bankruptcy is a thing that will screw up recoverability (and recoverability is one of the big things lawyers look at before even trying to go after something). Where this screws you is plea deals. Yes, I want to say that I wouldn’t take a plea deal, but if the reality is you are facing life in prison and you get a really good deal, you and your lawyer may decide that’s in your best interest to accept. No matter which company you go with, you always have the choice to take the deal or not, but with recoupment clauses in that contract, that guilty plea means that clause comes into play. Now you aren’t facing life in prison and you are recoverable against since they can garnish wages and you spend the rest of your life with garnished wages instead. Now, not necessarily the same with a no-contest plea, but that may not always be available. I will also point out while on the topic of recoverability, having this type of insurance with civil liability coverage may increase the likelihood of getting a civil lawsuit. One of the recoverability aspects is how much insurance someone has, so by having this type of insurance, you make yourself more recoverable. Not saying it’s a reason not to have it (I still pay extra for it personally), just pointing it out. *please note I am not an attorney and nothing said here should be taken as legal advice, simply my personal opinion as someone who works in and around the court system and sees how some of these cases play out.
Just because a UA-cam gun channel endorses a concealed weapon insurance or legal protection doesn’t mean it has everything you need in legal protection. Do your homework! With that said I got the CCW SAFE Ultimate plan.
Would it make sense to have to insurance policies? CCW Safe would be my main choice but something I like about US LawShield is that they cover self defense be it with a firearm, knife, car, hand to hand...
I first would like to thank CarryTrainer for making this video, because I am new to holding a CCW. To be brief I am a former Correctional Officer and despite going through a weeks worth of firearms training and etc they never really truly touched on big issues like carrying off duty as we are not Police Officers, because we fell under what I call an Umberella to conceal carry off duty, but never was informed about the big liabilities that could be faced. I will say without a doubt in my mind that CCW Safe appears more designated to protecting your rights than all else and offers more for your protection. I will leave off with this, while in my academy the mock portion for going to Court sucked, because they attack you in every which way possible. There's tons of things do not matter despite if your honest, they attack your character, social media, if you put any added decals on your firearm, they will make you look like the problem, the culprit, the one who wanted to go out like a vigilante.
The big thing you need to know is that this entire line of insurance is banned in some states because it is so close to outright fraud. Odds are more than 200 to 1 that you will never have a covered incident in your entire life. If you did have one, you would discover the sad truth about what the policies really say. I can't find any evidence that any of them have ever paid a claim.
After a series of watching trials with obscenely corrupt DAs and too often feckless defense attorneys, I can't depend on Texas' good laws and knowing what to do. Paired with a statistically improbable life of "intense" encounters I've gotten the crud scared out of me. I pulled the trigger, so to speak, on CCW Safe.
The odds of you having a covered event are less than once in every 200 lifetimes. None of these things is worth the money. They are banned in some states because they are such a ripoff for the consumer.
Talked me into it. I have had USCCA for almost 10 years. Thankfully, I have never needed their services but they have always been very courteous on the phone. I have never liked the idea of them trying to recoup the cost of my defense if I were to somehow lose a case but just hoped that if I needed them, it would be fairly clear cut self defense and not be an issue.
The option I support is "Attorneys on Retainer" Steer clear of any company that won't support you and instead look for reasons not to provide representation! Anything insurance backed/based is not in your best interest! READ THE FINE PRINT from a true legal perspective.
Go check out their videos regarding which company is best for the needs of gun owners. Simply stating "any attorney will let you retain them" is a deflection of the need to look at the specific and better options than CCWS, USCCA, USLS and the other popular companies. These companies do NOT offer the best options and this is clearly revealed. @@CarryTrainer
CCWsafe is not legal in my state, WA and others because the insurance commissioners have determined that the bail coverage is in violation of the insurance rules....
Insurance will not cover illegal act which all shooting including Self-defend shooting (potentially). Or if you take f plea deal to lesser charge it counts as convicted and you are subject to pay back the money.
Just found your channel. I haven't seen any tubers get into the details as you have! Thank You! QUESTION: How would one go about finding an attorney. I'd like to have one or two stored in my phone.
Thank you for all the information 🙏. I have been with USCCA for 4 years & and truthfully, I am now confused about what to do, may I ask you which program do you have with CCW Safe please?
I have USCCA and learned that they do not cover nor clearly define what a non-permissive area is. That is a deal breaker for me especially in the Chicago area. I contacted CCW Safe and found that they also do not cover non-permissive areas. Does that mean a store with signage on a restaurant where I carry concealed? US Law Shield also will not provide the same information. USCCA has recoupment costs. They have many easy ways to not cover an insured. We are already behind the curve in some states. An example of non-covered areas I asked each of these companies was non-permissive defined. Would it cover the lakefront which is excluded by Chicago. The only one that seems to cover what I have read is Attorneys on Retainers. I need to make a change. Last is the Civil Judgement and or appeal for criminal and civil or plea deal.
It’s hard to pick the right one cuz they all talk about each other. I saw this attorney from attorneys for freedom pulling the other companies and telling they don’t cover criminal charges.
You had me until you said “I would not expect a company to protect me if I am not lawfully able to carry” while I mostly agree with this. Let me use an example that actually happened recently. A shooter goes into a mall and begins to execute a mass shooting. Shooter is stopped almost immediately by a conceal carry patron preventing mass loss of life. The mall is not a lawful place to carry a firearm. Most would agree with me that in this situation a defendant should be protected. I believe if you’re in a justified self defense altercation protecting you or someone else you should be protected. Considering most states are now trying to make most areas gun free zones including place of business by default unless the business specifically states it is ok to carry.
Yeah well, unless you’re going to be searched or walking through a metal detector prior to entry then pack it! I could care less what a business owner thinks. All they can do is ask you to leave. As long as you leave then you’re good.
Exactly. You really aren’t safe anywhere now without it. But that’s my point. He specifically said he wouldn’t expect anyone to protect him if he was carrying someplace he shouldn’t be. I don’t agree with that at all when you consider the scenario I gave in reference.
@@ericspearo5731 it's good scenario to bring up but I would like to add I watched the responding officers and sheriff I believe speak and that question got brought up about the malls policy, they said that policy and law are 2 different things and that he didn't break any law by carrying into the mall, they could ask him to leave and he would have to regarding their policy bc it would become something else at that point if he did not, that's if he was seen with it, you can go back to their press conferences and they clearly stated he did not break the law, they had just went to constitutional carry at that time also, I thought it was interesting that they said that bc I thought he was breaking a law carrying in the mall of course maybe they said that bc he was a hero that day
12:40 me unlawfully carrying in a unconstitutional gunfree zone shouldn't affect my coverage. Like Massab said, you could be accidentally carrying unlawfully but shot in self defense 100% legally. That is why I'm going with Armed Citizen Legal Defense instead of CCW Safe. I need to be alive in order to defend myself
After watching your video I've been trying to sign up online since last Saturday. EVERY SINGLE TIME I get an error message that the registration is "timed out." It's super frustrating and I gave up.
The odds say that you will have a covered incident under any of them less than once every 15,000 years. If you do, then you will discover things like the Primary Insurance clause. Bottom line - you will never collect a dime from any of them. You will never know anyone who does.
Im currently a USCCA Gold member for $29/month and have been for years. Looking at CCW Safe. Question. All criminal and civil defense cost are covered. What is the civil liability add on for and additional $20/month? I'm looking and reading... just confusing myself.
I have not been able to find any evidence that any of these companies has ever paid a claim. If you look closely at the USCCA videos you will see that they never actually say they ever paid for anything. Odds are more than 200 to 1 that you will never have a covered event in your entire life. If you did have a covered event, you would discover the sad truth about the policies say. The first thing USCCA will tell you is that they don't even have to show up because of the Primary Insurance clause. They are a lawyer's lesson in how to not pay anything. USCCA must collect half a billion per year or more. Any legitimate company that collected that much in premiums would be paying out at least $350 million per year in claims for bail and lawyers in self-defense cases. Look at the news. That isn't even possible. These policies are banned in some states because they are so close to outright fraud.
Read small print on "ALL" gun insurances have clauses that allows them to not pay. Think about it, what insurance company wants to pay out anything: health, auto or property. I have been with uscca for a few years now, but am now leaving them and switching to "Attorneys on Retainer". They are not an insurance company, but a law firm. They cover you in "gun free zones" along with other things that wouldn't be covered by insurance company. Guys may be good guy's who own ccwsafe or uscca, but they don't have final say on whose covered. Read small print!
Since about 70% of gun related charges end up being misdemeanors, will CCW-Safe cover you if the State changes you with a gun related misdemeanor, but not a felony?
USCCA does a great job of marketing and enticing you with “freebies”. They will find more reasons to not cover you like a plea deal or if you are found guilty.
How it is legal for states, like WASHINGTON ST. (Home), to ban self-defense insurance? Shouldn’t everyone be able to acquire the best representation for themselves as their resources permit, and if someone foresees that representation as possibly being needed, shouldn’t they be allowed to carry such a policy? I don’t understand….
CCW Safe offer an annual ultimate plan that covers you and your spouse with optimal coverage and no scary limits for roughly $519 per year which is less than $45 per month to have solid coverage and peace of mind for you and your spouse. That's pretty hard to beat in my opinion. The per Diem is lower than USCCA but literally everything else is a clear win for CCW Safe. Thanks for this video and for helping make a difficult decision easy.
CCW Safe would be perfect but they have exclusions for domestic and/or dating violence. For many people their biggest threat is an abusive ex partner. Im still debating between CCW Safe and USCCA (which will cover domestic/dating violence). Thanks for the video.
None of them have ever paid a claim for anything. The odds of you having a covered event are less than once in every 200 lifetimes. If you did have an event, you would discover what the policies really say. They are a lawyer's lesson in how to not pay anything. Buy an umbrella general liability policy from your homeowners or renters agent. It covers more, costs less, and comes from a company that will actually pay your claims.
Everyone should do their own research. All of these UA-cam personalities are being paid by these various companies to talk their company up as the best insurance. Read the fine print in the contract
I just switched from FLP to CCW Safe after coming to the conclusion that they’re the best on the market. A lot of their coverages have increased since this review was made. In my opinion USCCA should be avoided at all costs, because USCCA is set up as an insurance company, while CCW Safe is not. That means they have lots of exclusions. Being an insurance company, they’re great at getting out of having to pay benefits. The recoupment thing should be a deal breaker to everybody. The vast majority of all criminal trials end in a plea bargain. What if you get charged with murder and you get an offer to plea to much lesser charges? For example they let you take misdemeanor with no jail time. That would almost definitely be a good deal, but with USCCA you can’t take a plea bargain or else you would owe them all the money back. So you have to trial, and assuming they don’t weasel their way out of paying for your defense at that point, a criminal trial is always at best the flip of a coin for getting acquitted. If you get found guilty for anything, USCCA is going to come collect.
If the word insurance is on it (CCW,USCCA, Law Shield..etc) then you can forget it... Any insurance Based service, no matter the name, will drop your coverage as soon as any charges or possibility of a charge outcome is in view. Why? Because by insurance laws and regulations, they can not cover incidents that are considered illegal... reason why a Car insurance won't cover your accident if you were "Racing" or "Speeding". Was the firearm modified with stuff "not permitted in that state"? Did it had more than X amount of rounds? Was the barrel longer than permitted? Etc etc etc.. you're screwed! Also insurance companies will make you sign waivers to be in communication with the 3rd party lawyers they hire for them to get updated of your case which poses client to attorney confidentiality issues. Any state prosecutor can call you Insurance company and ask for details of what your defense Lawyer told them about your case. And they can because you waived initially the confidentiality between your attorney and them. Talking about lawyers... most insurance companies will assign the lawyer not of your choosing, and if there is an ethics violation from attorney then you better not go to them to complain.. you will have to go to the attorney or state bar.. in other words.."it's not their problem the attorney they assigned to you was unethical". In fact.. most of these companies specify in the contractvthat they Cannot guarantee that the lawyer they assign to you is going to be Honest, ethical or even competent to handle your case... lol. What kind of crap is that? Most of them if you chose your own lawyer then it's on your dime and not theirs.. people should really take the time to READ and understand all of these insurance based companies contracts. For Self defense, go with a Law Firm that will guarantee they will try your case no matter if innitially you are charged or not. Only one I know that have a program like that is Attorneys on Retainer (AOR)
Odds are more than 200 to 1 that you will never have a covered incident in your entire life. If you did have one, you would discover the sad truth of what the policies really say.
Ive read that CCW SAFE has the right to deny you service if they do not agree with your self defense case. Thats kinda scary. Im not sure about US Lawshield or ACLDN but CCW SAFE being able to deny coverage automatically puts the others in ahead. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
It is flatly illegal *everywhere* to offer insurance for criminal defense. If anyone said they would, they are lying. Insurance for criminal defense is known as a "moral hazard" -- it would encourage people to commit crime. If they are not licensed to sell insurance in your state, the only way you will be able to dispute an unpaid claim is to write them an angry letter. Some of the worst policies I have ever seen.
CCW Safe would not deny you service if they do not agree with your self defense case. As long as it is a legit self defense case then you will be covered, if you are breaking the law or doing illegal acts they have the right to deny you service. Some other companies like USCCA have recoupment clauses where they will seek back the money they paid to defend you if you are found guilty. CCW Safe even if you are found guilty would cover you up until the end and would not seek back any money. They even cover re trials and Mis trials if needed.
@@granthansley9445 See Marc Victor's discussion of the USCCA policy. There are issues of law and legal ethics that make this highly problematic, to say the least. Those issues apply to ALL such plans. But you will probably never get there, anyway, for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the Primary Insurance clauses. Post the Primary Insurance clauses of the policy, just for giggles and grins.
@@cliffordschaffer5289 I have watched the video. He talks about USCCA and I agree with what he said. I do not know what primary Insurance clause you are talking about for CCW Safe.
Great review Mic but a few points I just can’t seem to get over and important for potential customers to know. They Will Not Cover you against Force used against other family members, Force used against people who are in member's house with permission or by invitation, excluding servicemen, delivery, contractors, etc.. So for instance if I invite my niece + one over for a family picnic and she brings a friend who decides to attack me or my family and I defend myself or family Im S!#$ out of luck. I can come up with many more examples like that ie: a daughter’s husband who’s disgruntled and comes to my house to harm her and I defend her or me. That really leaves you vulnerable and is just not acceptable. They need to modify these clauses as it leaves huge holes in coverage for real life examples that happen daily in our America.
@@CarryTrainer Did you get any answer? Because their website is absolutely clear on the topic. Invited guests and family members incidents are off limits.
US Lawshield is like $130 for the whole year - Basic coverage. Add more features is like $170 per year.
My wife and I have been an elite USCCA members since 2019. Paying $73.36 a month. This video has me thinking.
@@Bulldog75stp I don't like USCCA because they give you "free" stuff if you sign up. It feels like a marketing business. It membership is pricey. USCCA can ask you to payback attorney and court fees if you are found guilty in court.
@@villafontananorte They also don't cover you if you're charged with a crime.
Thanks for sharing this. Yet another market full of BS and false representation to navigate.. it never gets old
Just to be clear, that's a salesman, not a lawyer doing that.
Yup no marketing gifts needed!
Why is Right to Bear better?
I have right now USCCA
AOR- Attorneys on Retainer, say they are.
I was also with USCCA, and switched to CCW SAFE. Thanks for the informative video.
I signed up with CCW Safe a few months ago. What a relief it is. Peace of mind. Now I know I made the right choice! Thank you
I purchased CCW SAFE when I got my concealed weapon and firearm license last Feb 2022.
Out the ass? It's quite affordable
I see them as trying to be the “face” of gun rights since the NRA has so much hate from anti and pro gun people alike.
That's an expensive magazine subscription.
Retired LEO. Reviewed bunch of companies. Been with CCW Safe for about 5 years.
I had USCCA for four years then switched to CCW Safe. Way better coverage and service.
Very interesting!
2 important things. 1. You don't have to pay back the money if you lose your case with CCW safe. 2. The civil and criminal defense is unlimited.
I've been telling people for a long time that CCW SAFE is the best in the industry. Great video!
Do you need this kind of insurance if you just have gun at home for home protection?
@@MusicLuv80 if you need to shoot an intruder or burglar with it you will still go to court over it and need to pay a lot of money. It’s a small investment that will save you far more money if you ever need to discharge your firearm.

I just signed up with CCW SAFE, ultimate plan. I feel better knowing that they have my back with no limits
The only issue I have with this, and it still could be better to have this insurance then not, is when ccwsafe says this:
"covered to the level of a $500K bond for all legal use of force responses to life-threatening attacks at their home, inside their vehicle, in any location where it is legal to carry in public, or on premises where possession of a firearm is not illegal (all legal weapons covered)".
This may be true, but what other choice you got? Without the insurance you're still carrying and discharged illegally in according to the law

They drop coverage if you are charged with a crime.
For civil coverage, regular homeowners insurance does a LOT better. Ask your agent.
If they deny a claim, and are not licensed to sell insurance in your state, your only recourse is to write an angry letter.

Great video. I was looking for a replacement for USCCA and I enjoyed how you explained CCW
My question is: If you have 2 active insurances, can you use both of them at the same time? In there any clause that prohibit this practice? Two brains work better than one. I have US Texas Shield and CCW Safe.
Ask the companies directly
I spent a few months going line by line with different companies with regards to their policies and concluded CCW Sage is the right choice. A few of them are scary!!
Thanks Mickey I was considering CCW Safe already and You nailed it down for me!
Really appreciate the informative video! I appreciate the time stamp and well as list of pertinent questions to ask in the description.. You rock!
So does CCWSafe and USCCA. US Lawshield does not cover nearly as much as either of these two. Do the research. No, 2 policies would never make sense.
Great video, I am new CCW permit holder and have been researching ins companies. I keep coming back to CCW Safe.
You won't collect a dime from any of them, no matter what.
Any attorney will let you retain them
Go check out their videos regarding which company is best for the needs of gun owners.
I’m an attorney and this is a Great overview. I’m convinced and will be signing with them. Would be great if you added a tip or thanks option.
I went with CCW Safe Defender Plan. They charge 19$/ month. Hope its worth it if I ever need it.
I signed up with CCW safe, because I felt like the company I was with US Law shield didn’t seem to communicate or care
Just found your channel. I haven't seen any tubers get into the details as you have! Thank You!
QUESTION: How would one go about finding an attorney. I'd like to have one or two stored in my phone.
Welcome aboard! I'd get CCWSAFE use this link ccwsafe.com/?ref=carrytrainer
@@CarryTrainer so that's just a link to their website, how do you actually get in touch with an attorney lol
@josephpepe2607 you need an attorney?
If you are a member and actually need the service a phone call begins their process.
Just got my CCL and thank you mr trainer for this video 💪🏽
CCW safe here as well. Heard about them separately, not from you. Liked what I read and how they compared. Glad you and others feel the same way.
I signed up last month based on several reviews and Andrew Branca's endorsement.
What about when you don't know you are illegally armed? Now, so many places have nuance laws where it's difficult to know whether you're legal or not
No coverage, if you are wrong. Likewise, with anyone in your family.
Thank you for all the information
@@ericspearo5731 it's good scenario to bring up but I would like to add I watched the responding officers and sheriff I believe speak and that question got brought up about the malls policy, they said that policy and law are 2 different things and that he didn't break any law by carrying into the mall, they could ask him to leave and he would have to regarding their policy bc it would become something else at that point if he did not, that's if he was seen with it, you can go back to their press conferences and they clearly stated he did not break the law, they had just went to constitutional carry at that time also, I thought it was interesting that they said that bc I thought he was breaking a law carrying in the mall of course maybe they said that bc he was a hero that day
Great video but the coupon code does not work anymore. Do you have an updated code?
Great videos !!!
If you lose your case with USCCA they will sue you to pay all back the funds. They never advertise that part
After watching your video I've been trying to sign up online since last Saturday. EVERY SINGLE TIME I get an error message that the registration is "timed out." It's super frustrating and I gave up.
These insurance companies need to list the cases they have been involved in, how many hours they spent, etc. before I subscribe.
Visit ccwsafe.com and you can read about those cases.
Based on EXTENSIVE research, I found CCW Safe to be the best option for me over USCCA and FLP.
The odds say that you will have a covered incident under any of them less than once every 15,000 years. If you do, then you will discover things like the Primary Insurance clause.
Bottom line - you will never collect a dime from any of them. You will never know anyone who does.
@@cliffordschaffer5289 Interesting feedback. Thank you for sharing.
@@a.r.r.5626 The reason these policies are banned in some states is because they are such terrible deals for the consumer. Consumer fraud laws.

I'm really glad you covered this. Also, I love gunfighter gun oil.
Thanks carry trainer team for the advice!
Wait a minute. You say if I have a $200k bond that comes off the insurance limit. But you only have to post $20k, 10%, for a 200k bond. No?
Just dropped uscca. Will be getting CCW Safe

Buy an umbrella general liability policy from your homeowners or renters agent. It covers more, costs less, and comes from a company that will actually pay your claims.
Then consider ACLDN
umbrella policy get real this isnt rental properties@@cliffordschaffer5289
Everyone should do their own research. All of these UA-cam personalities are being paid by these various companies to talk their company up as the best insurance. Read the fine print in the contract
Great video I really needed it and it was really a great communication

Been with CCW safe for almost 3 years. Great legal service. By far the best one for me.
How do you know their service is great? Have to use it? If so, what was the outcome? BTW, I am a member of CCW Safe!
Hi there. I’m looking to sign up but for some reason the code you mentioned isn’t working
Any thoughts on Self Defense Fund?
I've been a member for 4 years.
Ccw safe would be my next choice after ACLDN.
@@granthansley9445 Show me where I can find the part of any agreement or policy by these people that explains how payouts are made.
Two comments to this.
1. Make better choices in friend's
2. Let's ask them directly. I am doing it now.
My wife got a restraining order against our son. What if he comes over and creates havoc before we can call 911 and the police arrive?
