So love your posts! I live in North Texas, but moved from Pendleton Oregon 4 years ago. I am having so much trouble finding the perfect plants. The afternoon fries everything. The grasshoppers eat them. I also have a great area that gets part sun, but holds the water. It’s been a failure after failure except my succulents in my wheelbarrow! 😫 One of these years I will find the perfect plants. Love petunias but they seed so fast, I can’t keep up!

Laura, Do you ever have problems with deer? You seem to have quite a bit of space which suggests to me you are out in the country. How do you handle deer? Many of your flower beds look like you would be laying out a buffet! I close on a house with a bare slate for gardening (the previous owners have rock and pavers which are coming out) here in a couple of weeks. I want to put in deer resistant plants just in case, but wondered how you deal with the critters and some of the plants deer tend to feast on. Thanks!
Hi Lisa, Laura does not struggle with deer in their area, but we know many do. One thing we strongly recommend is Plantskydd spray, especially in the spring as new growth is emerging. Also, here is a link to our advanced search page where you can search for plants that deer tend to leave alone. Keep in mind they do not like scented plants, ones that are extremely low to the ground and any that tickle their nose, such as a ornamental grass. The camerawork and production had a very professional quality in the past. Now it's more like a vlog in filming and presentation but the positive tradeoff is we get daily videos which they would never have been able to do at this previous level every day.
IMO, the camerawork is still very well done and professional - and Laura is a wonderful spokesperson for PW.

I think it is a Proven Winners video not a Garden Answer video. They pick random videos of Laura's and show since they partner with her.
Does veronica grow in part shade?
Veronica will perform its best in full to part sun.
Proven Winners could at least recognise the Garden Answer channel in their narrative. Laura and her husband do such justice to the company's products and are great ambassadors of gardening and the Proven Winner line for so many years. I am saying all this even though I do not live in the US. Proven Winner seeds may be a success elsewhere --- a suggestion.
Paula, we are not sure what you are recommending, Laura creates these videos for us as a part of a business agreement. We do list their names, or Garden Answer in the post description since everyone will see her and know who it is.

However, the fact which remains is that there is no reference to the channel in your narrative under your channel name. There is only reference to the plants used. I was just stating an observation given the great work that the primary channel providers have done. I did not mean to offend anyone.
@@ProvenWinnersUA-cam I was recommending one thing, i.e consider the international market for sale of viable seeds. Your plants seem to thrive really well in various climatic conditions.
