You guys are amazing! Complimenting each other with your shared gardening knowledge!!! Gorgeous gardens!!!! Love watching you both & your obvious enthusiasm !!! Keep it up!!!!
Yesterday was my lucky day.......I found you guys!!! I have never seen such a Beautiful garden in my 70some years life. I am thrilled to death with how you tour the gardens. You give wonderful detail of plants that helps the rest of us. I will be forever grateful to you both for the joy you have given me. Thank you from my heart. Honestly, you have the most amazing garden...... it is perfection. I know I will learn so much from you. Thank you so very much for sharing. oxoxox PS. Your plant placement is so thoughtful for softness, height and movement is fabulous. Working with structures and views is where your artistry comes in. You can be so proud. You have every right to be proud.
Oh my goodness thank you so much. I’m so happy that our little garden is able to bring so much happiness! We have some fun projects coming up that I hope you like.
Gorgeous! I was looking for gardening inspiration for my new house and this gives me some great ideas! I love how you introduced and showcased each plant. Thanks for sharing!
This video has given me so much inspiration. I'm redoing a new flower bed in the front of my house and I of all the different plants, trees and flowers you used!
Guys, that's a HUGE amount of plantings, I have a very LARGE acreage yard, but you truly excel in cramming things together in a harmoniously manner, sooo many outstanding plants and combinations to enjoy! Ohhhh, and I LOVE your 'Moffat Blue' upright juniper, I have several of these planted out in the garden, they are slow compact growers that keep a lovely blue coloring all winter.
Wow. Your gardens are spectacular! New subscriber here. I have garden envy. So many gorgeous plants and I am amazed that you remember every single name. I will binge watch your videos now. 😊🌱❤️
My jaw is on the floor. What an incredible garden! You all have mastered the art of placement and layering! Love your unique collection of trees and all the pairings. Outstanding!!
Absolutely gorgeous. You should send pics of your garden to Laura at “ Garden Answer”. She has a huge following and does a series where she has viewers send in pics of their gardens
Fabulous tour guys! A lot of planning and work went into your beautiful gardens ❤️ I loved that you named each plant, I made lots of notes 😉 I would love to see how you plant & prune for fall as well as how you get your garden ready for winter.
I stumbled on to you guys a few months ago, and I'm so glad I did. I'm also 5b, but just across the border in eastern Ontario, so everything you plant is very relevant. So much fun and knowledge...it's great!!
I have learned you can change the colour of Hydrangea depending whether they are growing in alkaline or acid soil. I've only even seen your beautiful conical hydrangea further north in Amberly, from where I live . They are a lovely shape
We have mostly panicle and Annabelle hydrangeas that aren’t pH dependent. We have a few big leaf planted which do change color. Fingers crossed they come through the winter!
I have never seen a more beautiful hydrangea than the strawberry vanilla. I have never seen one at my nursery. The backyard is breathtaking! The green landscaping behind your white fence on the east border is stunning!!!! Also behind the fire pit area!!! I would love to see all that green behind my home . All the visuals with none of the work!!! This is a labor of love for sure. Absolutely magical little sanctuary.
The best thing about this video is naming every plant. I also enjoy the love you share in growing and displaying your large gardens. I can tell you spend hours going over each part of the garden to improve them.
Hi guys. Im also in zone 5b. East coast? I had so many plants died and majority of my hydrangeas started from the ground up due to the xmas freeze we had. Butterflies bushes all died except for one. Good to see some people in my zone and see what works for them. Im originally from Cali so moving to upstate ny has been a big difference in gardening. This is my 3rd year here and 2nd season of gardening. So not as beautiful as yours. Cant wait for mine to look as full as yours.
A wonderful selection of plants, beautifully positioned to complement each other. I grow R. Gertrude Jeckyll here in UK as a short climber, and she is indeed thorny. But, oh, the scent, colour, health, and form is outstanding - the scent will waft to some distance.
Just watched this video and I think you two are amazing!! Your yard is an oasis...who needs a vacation spot when you have this??!! The variety you have going on here is a perfect mixture of evergreen to perennial to annuals. Omg....Can't wait for the 2024 summer tour! Thank you both for sharing your love for gardening!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching. Believe it or not we filmed the entire tour twice...the first time we didn't know Eric's microphone had died until we were almost done!
Right around 12:40 you have some amazing brennura (spelling?). Did you ever divide that? I would love mine to get that big and full. I'm thinking it might benefit from being divided. You have two right there and they are so beautiful!
thanks for the tour. Beautiful garden, many interesting combinations of plants and color combinations. Vanilla Strawberry Hordensia is a superstar for me.
Guys, this is breathtaking. How much acreage do you have? The plant placement choices (color, foliage and textures) are so on point and intentional. Superb job and congratulations on such a classy garden.
Wow. Just wow‼️. I just discovered your site yesterday and I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since. I’m a big fan of your taste and gardening talent. Your garden is absolutely beautiful🙌🙌🙌
You guys are my new favorite 😍! Omg.. love that fountain grass in front of the house. So perfect on that spot. Love the vanilla strawberry. And also the firelight tidbits.. gorgeous 😍. Beautiful garden.
You'll want to use a thinner stake for that spruce....trees don't like monumental stakes, they will adjust their normal growth patterns and it will stress. Use a round tall bamboo 1 to 1-1/2" at most, it will last for as long as the tree will need it, then you can just remove it or saw it off, and the root will not get damaged. With the metal stake the roots will grow around it and you will cause damage once you remove it. The larger diameter the trunk gets, the more sturdier the tree will become, however, if it's a wheeping type, the tip may try to revert down if the tree has competition from other trees and shrubs around it, or if it's a fastigiate type, it will grow straight up once it's a little larger and stronger. Keep the bamboo support on it for at least 2-3 years. Trap the Groundhog and relocate it, or dispatch it, most States have no limitation on Groundhogs. If you don't remove it it will continue to do damage in your garden...it's a buffet station for it. Since you border a wildlife area you will have recurring issues...fence or solar electric fence are an option....2-string is all you need for deer, raccoon, and groundhog. 1 string at 8" and another at 35" for deer. Bait it with peanut butter at the beginning(on aluminum foil wrapped around the string), once they get zapped they will never come back, they learn quickly to respect the wire and deer won't even jump over it even though they easily could, but you need to make sure you do the baiting process. I've had it in my garden for 5 years, no problem, and we see deer all the time, and no more groundhogs or raccoons either. The nice thing about this method, the 2-wire system looks less intrusive around a beautiful garden..we are on 2 acres.
Wow thank you! I will definitely look into a smaller stake. The one we are using currently is pretty thick and ugly. We haven't seen that groundhog in awhile...we are actually considering taking out the elderberry anyways...it really hasn't done that well regardless of being mauled by the critters!!
I have a artic willow as well. Fast grower! I cannot find it in the stores this year. We even looked online, but it was the smaller variety. I love how you guys take your time with each plant. It's such a pleasure to watch 🏡🌳
I’m sure someone already answered your question about the Clematis, but they like something covering their “feet” and they do take a while to get going. Have you ever heard “The first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps, and the third year it leaps!” Well, that’s a Clematis. Also, a “grouping” of Birch trees is several trees. One with several stems is called a multi-stem. 😉😙
Thanks @@janine4360 I am hopeful they get going next year! That birch is actually three tiny trees squished together! At first I thought it was multi-stem but as I planted I could see that it was in fact three!
Oh! @growform5b We have a gorgeous clump of 4 mature maples on our property! They are my favorite trees 💓 Unfortunately, they stand right where we want to build a new house 😭
Beyond beautiful! I want to be a friend from Michigan❤ your gardens have many of the same treasures my gardens have;) I also L❤OVE David Austin Roses and have 8 more coming this Spring. They sell out fast so I ordered them in January. Still with my early order I missed out on a Climbing Eden. I found her online at heirloom roses, I ordered a pair. 1/3 of my roses are climbers. Thank you for naming all your trees, shrubs and plants. I’ll need to look at your video a few times so I can see/think about it all. The beauty took my breath away.
Your gardens are stunning! For woodchucks, we put up pinwheels(plus spray) when they show up and that has scared them away reliably. Our problem is deer which are relentless this year despite liquid fence and bobbex. For clematis, they need usually at least 3 years to reach the leap stage and right now are concentrating on roots. Clematis like shaded roots and tops in sun, so you might want to put a groundcover at the roots since it looks sunny there. Little lime hydrangeas will be fine- mine are 4 yrs old around 7 ft tall and in a wet area. Yours are still babies. My little limes are pruned into trees by the deer and are flowering tall. Sadly the deer pulled branches down of my vanilla strawberry and pinky winky so I only have a few blooms of those and they ate all my bloomstruck and twist and shout to the ground. Your vanilla s is to die for!
Thank you for that amazing tour, so much beauty ! I also love the formality of the patio space with the pavers and gravel pathways. It’s all so beautiful! 🇨🇦
I think you meant to say Wine & Roses Weigela… beautiful big garden. Loved how you used different combinations to reflect color & texture. My fav was the oakleaf Gatsby Pink. I have one also. Do you have a video when you tree formed the dapple willow?
Wow your garden is coming together beautifully!!! I'm hoping eventually your vids can be captured in 4k to better see all the beauties in more detail in the future 😍
Guys!!!! These gardens are stunning! I’m intrigued to know how you pick what goes where, drifts vs onesie twosies, etc. new follower here but I am hooked. Sending much love from Philly ❤
Thank you so much for joining us. The honest answer...the "ones" are mostly from before we knew what we were doing. As we have learned more, the style we like is drifts. Sometimes three...sometimes thirteen!
I love your garden! I need to watch this video twice to write down some names of my favorite of your choices. I love love the bright green Fire bush? That doesn't sound right. I started a bunch of the cat mint and am using it in a lot of borders just like you guys did. I like that it keeps weeds out from where a concrete sidewalk is in some areas of my garden.
The garden is magical. There is so much variety mixed into the spaces and repeating some of the plants like the lambs ear keep things connected. I like the idea of saving seeds to replant. I’m not sure how to go about it but it would be a practical solution for saving money to put toward a tree instead. Deer are just starting to appear in our area and we are seeing more rabbits and I am hoping they don’t affect my garden. They’re beautiful animals but from a distance only.
I just can’t get enough of your garden. It is absolutely beautiful and I get so much i inspiration from your videos/garden. I want to start adding hydrangeas to my gardens and was under the impression they loved moisture. Looks like I need to do more research before adding them. I have tried planting a couple a killed them and thought it was because they were under watered.
They do like water but they like well draining soil. A little picky if you ask me, but we find that top dressing with compost has really started improving the soil and helping balance out the water
Unbelievable! Has to be the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Ditto on all the great comments!
Wow! Thank you!
Oh my goodness what an incredibly beautiful garden! love, love love it. Y'all must spend a boatload of time on it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
You guys are amazing! Complimenting each other with your shared gardening knowledge!!! Gorgeous gardens!!!! Love watching you both & your obvious enthusiasm !!! Keep it up!!!!

So lovely right😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The variety of your trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals is amazing,,, what a treat that garden tour was,,, Thank You Eric and Christopher
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
Great way to enjoy my coffee. I love the variety of color and plants! That vanilla strawberry hydrangea is gorgeous!
It really is! It’s the first thing you see when you drive up our street too.
Do you prune this plant in the spring?
Wow, guys, everything looks beautiful absolutely stunning in your whole entire yard. I just do not see how you do that.
It takes a lot of work!
I live in 5b. Come and plant up my garden😊. Everything looks beautiful😍
haha we have a lot of work to do at home!
Love, love your garden. I watch a number of gardening channels on UA-cam and your filming is one of the best. Beautifully done !!!
Thanks so much 😊. We are getting the hang of this...its all new!
You should ask Hort tube garden influencer about your tree staking. He is so knowledgeable with Facts!
Good idea. He’s great
Your garden is beautiful ❤. Impressive memory you guys have 😅

You can do it!
Could the two of you please do a video of how you take care of your roses?
We will definitely be doing that in Spring. Later in the season I do a little bit of prep to put them to bed for winter.
Fantastic! I will be watching again and checking out your other videos too! You guys know your stuff and I love your design ideas!!!
Awesome! Thank you!

You are so welcome! Thank you for watching
Your gardens have taken my breath away, Thank you so very much. I too am 5b in Colorado. Such inspiration.
Wonderful! It's amazing how different the weather can be while still being in 5b.

We definitely spend a lot of time
Subscriber from Columbia MD. I am now so inspired to start developing a front yard garden. Running out of space in my backyard. 😂😂😂 Thanks Guys.
You can do it!
The layers, colors, and varieties are truly breathtaking. This video has inspired me like no other. Thank you for sharing your beautiful oasis.
Wow! Thank you so much!
Wow! Thank you!

It is definitely one of the strongest fragrances. We have a rose friend that made jam from Gertrude. It was delicious.
I never thought to deadhead my early blooms from Bobo. I may try that next year to see what happens.
You have such a lovely, lush garden.
Thank you!
Just watched this video and I think you two are amazing!! Your yard is an oasis...who needs a vacation spot when you have this??!! Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching. Believe it or not we filmed the entire tour twice...the first time we didn't know Eric's microphone had died until we were almost done!
Just amazing.....being in hot meditteranean climate your garder is pure heaven 😁
Ooh I wouldn’t mind some of that weather
Right around 12:40 you have some amazing brennura (spelling?). Did you ever divide that? I would love mine to get that big and full. I'm thinking it might benefit from being divided. You have two right there and they are so beautiful!
To be honest I haven’t tried to divide it yet. I will see how it does this year and if it seems too congested I’ll give it a go
Beautiful, beautiful yard. little bit of heaven on earth
Couldn't agree more!
Gorgeous gorgeous guys! Will watching this video 2 or 3 more times ,I need to take lots of notes
You're the best! Thank you!
thanks for the tour. Beautiful garden, many interesting combinations of plants and color combinations. Vanilla Strawberry Hordensia is a superstar for me.

Your yard is by far extreme and one of the best I see on UA-cam. I have learned so much from your post. Thank you so much for sharing your passion.
Wow, thank you! We love gardening and are really enjoying this new adventure on UA-cam.
Guys, this is breathtaking. How much acreage do you have? The plant placement choices (color, foliage and textures) are so on point and intentional. Superb job and congratulations on such a classy garden.
Thank you so much! We have just a bit over a half an acre.
The vanilla strawberry is STUNNING 🤩
The color is coming in really nice too
Wow. Just wow‼️. I just discovered your site yesterday and I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since. I’m a big fan of your taste and gardening talent. Your garden is absolutely beautiful🙌🙌🙌

I’m in 6b. Sure hope the Firelight Tidbit will thrive!
I’m sure it will!
I have a artic willow as well. Fast grower! I cannot find it in the stores this year. We even looked online, but it was the smaller variety. I love how you guys take your time with each plant. It's such a pleasure to watch 🏡🌳
Thank you so much!
agreed!
Hi to my favourite gardener’s. Love your garden, you’ve both got great taste. ❤
Thank you so much 😊.
Absolutely gorgeous yard🌻. We’re slowly working towards this goal. Thank you for sharing.
Our Kingsley Ghost is in year 4 and huge, love that vine.🌻🌻
That is awesome! I love how the leaves change as the vine grows. I can't wait to see next year.
I’m sure someone already answered your question about the Clematis, but they like something covering their “feet” and they do take a while to get going. Beautiful! A lot of color even at the end of the season! You’ve done a great job!
Thank you so much!
We have had great luck using Have a Heart traps for woodchucks. They can then be relocated to another location. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip!
Oh!! What do you use for bait??
Love you guys learning so many gardening ideas from you both. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
You have a gorgeous garden. How do you keep your grass so green/healthy? Just beautiful-Thank you for sharing.
We have a great company that fertilizes four times a season and we are pretty diligent about general maintenance.
You guys have exceptional taste and exquisite style! Love love love your garden!💚💚💚
Thank you so much!
AMAZING landscaping!!! Sooo... beautiful!
Thank you so very much
My God, your garden is gorgeous!!!!
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning! 😍
Thank you!! 😊
I just stumbled upon this video and your channel, and I couldn't be happier! Your garden is beautiful and so inspiring, thank you for sharing.
Wow thanks!! We are getting the hang of filming and editing!
Very enjoyable. Thank you from Northern California.
Glad you enjoyed it

Just got a tiny grace smokebush and 3 3gallon calycanthus- excited to see them grow after seeing your beauties!
The deer can be really rough. We are going to try the fishing line method where we make an invisible fence to scare them off.
That sounds so nice! Calycanthus is AMAZING
I am really enjoying your garden tour.Thsnks so much for sharing ❤❤
I'm so glad! Thank you!
Thank you for that amazing tour, so much beauty ! I also love the formality of the patio space with the pavers and gravel pathways. It’s all so beautiful! 🇨🇦
Thank you! The pavers in the pea gravel is one of my favorite parts of the whole space. They give a little of traditional mixed with modern.
Simply stunning.
Thank you! Cheers!
I think you meant to say Wine & Roses Weigela… beautiful big garden. Loved how you used different combinations to reflect color & texture. My fav was the oakleaf Gatsby Pink. I have one also. Do you have a video when you tree formed the dapple willow?
Thank you! I did that last year before we started filming, but we may film my cleanup process.
Love your borders.
Thank you!
Wow your garden is coming together beautifully!!! I'm hoping eventually your vids can be captured in 4k to better see all the beauties in more detail in the future 😍
I realized in our last video that my upload size is one notch below 4k! We have our September tour coming and I am going to do 4k!

Thanks for the tour! Greetings from Denmark.
Thanks for watching!
Everything is looking so lush and beautiful! I loved every second of your garden tour!! Happy weekend 🌿🌸🥳
Thank you so much 😊
So glad I found you! I have been brainstorming on how to blend my landscape with my wooded area ! Your yard is beautiful!!
Ooh I love that. You can be so creative with that kind of border
This was a great tour! May I suggest to replace your purple sandcherry a Ninebark :). Everything looks great- Great compositions.
...and very impressed that you remember all the names of each variety.
We had considered a Ninebark there but ended up reworking that area in Fall. It will be seeing more change this summer I think

Thank you for watching!
Always enjoys your garden tours! Just spectacular landscape design! I need to watch it a few more times and take notes.
Thank you! Cheers!
I totally agree!
Fabulous!!! I'm so glad I found you guys! Keep up these wonderful videos!
Thank you! Will do!
Dios mío!!! I just found you guys; you both are amazing!! Lovely garden, I will be in heaven if I visit your garden❤
Welcome!
