- Follow my method and you’ll be a master at using your curl sponge. Remember don’t focus on pressing down hard. You want I press down lighter so that your hair can receive the maximum results for a curl.

Same as the video. Put a conditioner in your hair 1st then sponge away.

The crazy thing is that I use to cut Tariq’s hair back in 2003-4. Right now he has a Temple Taper Fade.
a year late so probably wont get a response but... my main issue isnt actually sponging my hair its the picking out process afterwards, its like a warzone afterwards. is there any tips or precautions i should take for that or is it always going to be a hassle picking my hair after sponging it?
You can wet your hair and use a detangler spray. This will soften your hair and make it easier to pick out. I’ve included the link for a detangler spray that I’ve used that works well.
