Amazing video!! A great way to pay tribute to this piece of art. I bought mine 2 weeks ago and I love it. I can also drive it in Gran Turismo 7!! Thanks for such an amazing video!
This is such a cool car. I had the pleasure of trying one a few years back and it was such a cool drive. One of my old time favorite Audi cars and a legend Audi forever.
Dang I just sold mine one month ago and bought an rs3 8p instead, mine was pretty special also and have a little regret now seeing this. As standard a little too slow for my liking but I changed that by building the engine and kept it N/A doing it. One of the best sounding cars I ever had if not the best sounding with the exhaust setup I had. Didn't sound anything like this tho, mine sounded better :D Cool cars these, the way they look is because the designers got free play to design the 8n and thats definitely noticeable.
@@Auditography unfortunately I have not got the funds to do that, I don't even own one garage but do have a driveway in the back I can park at so it's not just standing on the streets. I had different cars troughout the years, even had 3 at one point and the TT was standing inside at my mechanics place for just 1 year. After I sold the other cars again and the TT once again stayed it had multiple issues. Standing still is the worst a car can go trough even if its inside. It needs to role once and a while to stay good and like I said before I don't realy have to funds for that. I do realy take good care of my cars tho, you don't want to know the bills I stacked up on my TT. I loved it but it was time to go. 251000km but in pristine condition. my rs3 now 57800km and modding as we speak. If I could I would have kept all my cars, e34 m5 touring with the 3.8 and 6 speed, 2 e39 m5's, totaled one (not my fault),s204 c63 (sold september this year) s2 Lotus (sold februari last year) ect ect. I had my share and even tho I don't own em anymore the memory's remain 😀. Cheers.
This car is revolutionary for Audi. That might be the wrong term but it started a lot of things that are still carried on today. Too bad where I'm from most people roast these cars haha
@@Auditography As for the squashed beetle description, I would have to agree, with a little early 911 thrown in, but I am in no way being derogatory. I love the look of these cars so much I bought one ! This is arguably the prettiest car Audi ever produced, one that manages to look strangely classic and modern at the same time, and it's a shame they felt the need to integrate later models into the family and lose a lot of the originals individuality. The 3.2 DSG certainly has the performance to match the looks, 6 seconds to 60mph is a respectable time even today. With no turbo holding things back it just squats and goes, and Sport mode releases the Mr Hyde in a very capable GT car. Build quality is amazing. Mine has 88000 miles and cabin wear is minimal, even the touch points, drivers seat, steering wheel, gearshift, etc. It may not be as exhilarating to drive as the latest version, but how many 20 year old cars are ? And will the current model attract the attention the Mk1 does when it reaches classic status ? With it's copy and paste styling I have my doubts. The Mk1 was built as a stand out car and it has stood the test of time !
Know someone that has had a TT for 10+ years no complaints. I almost got an A4 (mechanics said they're more work cost to fix oil issues). Went for a Lexus I am still considering an Audi just not sure of what model now. I do like the A7's. All an all take car of any car an you should be fine.
Own a 225 but they are honestly such a beautiful car to look at if you like car silhouettes from the 50s into the 60s, you can definitely see the 356 inspiration in the lines. What let's them down is the rather dull experience compared to the cars it was up against at the time. That said though, all those "issues" people like Clarkson etc have had with it are very easily, and rather cheaply rectified. Audi gave us all 70% of the car and left the other 30% to the user to do what they saw fit for.
Nah bro why kill the sound and sweet N/A build up with a turbo, yes it will be fast but at what cost, slapping a turbo on a car isn't always the best solution, maybe the cheapest way to get power but not the best.
@@swansmeister if you really just in for power then yes but if you just want to hear that sweet VR6 then I would just do and intake and some other things just for a few hp
@@Auditography you can get this engine cammed and it sounds amazing. I should know since I did it way back with my 2004 R32 and it put out 298hp at the flywheel. Car sounded amazing and my mileage wasn’t too impacted either.
@@AZ81RS I had mine rebuild/revised with hpa variable cams, JE high comp pistons, gruven parts one billet piece pulleys, full exhaust (also custom headers), a gruppe M ram air intake and an ecu and tcu remap, also aircon removed with smaller belt, it didnt even reah 298 but 297hp and 382nm, so I doubt with just some cams and a tune yours had 298 ;-).
An absolute beauty from a lost era. Thanks for being the baby R8 for so many years!
Yeah, the future doesnt look as exciting 😔
The 3.2 are special, this example is simply stunning!
Yes, have the engine in my Q5 and it sounds amazing
They will still rave about the TT decades later....A true original!
Absolutely!
That N/A V6+DSG is killer combo
Yes, awesome combination!
This small, classic model looks special in your film and fits into the entire series 💪👍👏👏👏🤩
You know it! ☺
Best rear of any TT model. Why did i sell mine? Just a classic motor, one of Audi’s best ever designs.
Yeah why did you sell yours? ☺
@@Auditography didn’t have room at the time!!!
Yer I have just bought one again love em👍🏻
Beautiful!
Appreciate it and enjoy the content!
The best Audi TT. Not the faster, but for 280km/h top os more than enough. But the best design and top notch technology.
Simply a classic!

As simple as that: oldies but goldies!☝️

That engine in that car was Amazing! Color is toooop!

Yes both the car and that engine are diamonds!

When you have a car like this, you dont sell it. You add another one, but never sell!

As much as people called these "Hairddressers car" or "Squashed beetle", then can not say anything bad about this very combo of engine and design

Timemachine is working very well, thanks again. For me TT was more revolutionary than R8.
I agree it was revolutionary. But more than Audis most famous car all times? No. The R8 is unbeatable. ☺

Amazing car! Scorpion exhaust not resonated?
Great looking car all around inside and out. Always wished the 3.2 had a 6speed version

In the mk2 TT the 3.2 did have a 6 speed version! I’ve always wondered if it’s been swapped

Hello, nice car👍
Is the Quattro Sticker original length or is it shorter?
Thanks! Original
All TT Mk1 are infinitely more beautiful and fascinating than the latest products similar to shoe boxes ...
Which “shoe boxes” are you referring to?

can you give me the reference of the front lip below the front bumper please ?

How about MK2 VR6.
I have 1.8 manuel 6 speed can i swap to 3.2 ?
Of course you can. Google it!
Check engine light was on lol
The chek engine light is always on when you only have the ignition on. You're welcome
May I ask is that paint or a wrap 🤔
Original paint
IF anyone in New York ? NJ area, I have a TT I want to sell I need to move. its a 2001 MK1 225. Black.
Seems odd to call it a design icon when it's trying to look like the mk1 1.8 quattro sport
Look alike? This IS the Mk1 and that's what this episode is about.
@@Auditography the quattro sport was the special addition with the black roof rear seat delete different alloys and a few other bits and bobs
@@jonnyhughes2067 he’s simply implying that the TT mk1 was a design icon not limited to this particular example.

0-100 in 5.8 seconds…!!! Don’t you think it’s too slow for such a small car with a big engine…?
Mister... this was 2005. Was one of the fastest NA cars back then.
The engine is not super- or turbocharged, that’s why.
Just a turbo and a good tune and and some other things and you are beating most things on 4 wheels

Never cared for the 'beatle' body styled tt's. Thats a nice example, but its just one of Audi's less likeable bodies. Neighbor has one. Hate it...
Well, the world thinks different and its one of Audis most famous and liked designs ☺ cheers
