    Really miss red wine. When I was consuming regularly during a period of my life, was when my digestion was probably at its best. That was really interesting on that study.

      it was just one study. we have to keep that in perspective. However, I do enjoy my red wine.

    Hello. When you feed the good microbiome are you also feeding the bad bugs as well?

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert

      Actually, yes, but there is a big "depends" connected to that, which I frequently mention. Keep watching my videos and you'll understand why.

    @TheMicrobiomeExpert I have so much to talk with you about after watching this video. As a long covid (unvaccinated) survivor of three years so many key words resonate with me- butyrate, serotonin, bifido, lactobacillus and cytokines have been many of my issues and I think are key to my suffering . Have you addressed the correlation???

    How do you get this bacteria? From food can you make yogurt and include this??

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert

      That's the multi-million dollar question. I don't know. Other than mother to infant transmission, in the thousands of papers I have read over the years, I don't know how this superhero takes up residence in the gut, considering how sensitive it is.

    Hello Mr Daniels. question! if I order a sibo protocol on your website, will I gain full access to the protocol in a way that will allow me to follow it on my own? or will I only get the general principles and then have to also buy your consultation to actually follow it? an example of some of what I will be getting will also be nice! not to sound rude, but your website is kind of stingy on giving potential buyers any real idea what they are paying for compared with other similar websites. thank you!

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert
      @TheMicrobiomeExpert  4 місяці тому +6

      The protocols provide specifics on exactly what to do. And should you have reasonable questions, simply email me, and I'll answer in a timely manner, no charge. I hope this clarifies things.

    Can you give some ways f. Prausnitzii can be repopulated in the gut if someone has had a round of antibiotics?

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert
      @TheMicrobiomeExpert  19 днів тому

      that's the million dollar question. Other than by breast-feeding, I don't know how we obtain Fp. As for one round of abx, I wouldn't worry about it. Data shows that we rebound well after one round. Multiple rounds in succession is another story.

    Pectins are perfect if I have low Prausnitzii and too many Firmicutes over Bacteroidetes, right? What about adding S. Boulardii to the mix?

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert
      @TheMicrobiomeExpert  Місяць тому

      The first part is correct. the second is not, P praus is within Firmicutes, so it's the reverse. But don't worry about that, it's a useless ratio. The last point, NO! Don't waste your money on S boul

      @@TheMicrobiomeExpert Yeah, it's strange it's so low though. I've been on a plant-based diet for a very long time, so most of the foods I read that can increase its population are already in my diet in abundance.

    How much of this bacteria should be in our gut?

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert

      On average, in healthy controls, it comprises about 5% of the microbiome.

    No human can understand 6 college courses of material in 18 minutes. Showing slides with hundreds of details for 20 seconds while "explaining" the slide at speed only works if the consumer of your material is already an expert in the field.

      I understand. It's challenging for doctors and other scientists. Keep watching, the same themes repeat themselves, and with repetition comes learning. If I'm going to profess to be THE EXPERT, I have to demonstrate to you that I know more than all others, and teach people things and perspectives they have not heard before. Otherwise, I'm just like the rest.
