    If you have those symptoms you most likely need to take glycine (just glycine, not TMG), which is the primary nutrient the body uses to mop up excess methyl groups.

    Wallach's 70-80's dissections defined about 500 different diseases associated with depleted soils related mineral deficiency. I imagine that good taxa would then take the less-efficient secondary/tertiary pathways to achieve their reactions, but evidently the efficiency drops precipitously....while that circumstance then favors the bad competitors. It's inconvenient, but the commercially available simple substrates just may not provide quite enough. Aren't we still stuck with supplements?

    Thanks for all your videos. They are very informative and helpful in explaining the complexity of the microbiome. You mention in multiple videos that Lactobacillus appears to be more abundant in dysbiotic guts. However, there are many types of Lactobacillus and some of them have benefits backed by research. One example is Lactobacillus Reuteri DSM 17938. Does your research backed recommendation to avoid Lactobacillus in dysbiotc states apply to all strains whatsoever?

      I would like to know the answer to this too. I stopped Culturelle a month ago based upon this advice, but pathogens have grown and created issues. I think it is complicated, and I have taken note of that he said that too much lactate will suppress the good flora. But the Culturelle was also doing something to help.

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert
      @TheMicrobiomeExpert 16 годин тому

      I'll try to be brief. First - I do say that probiotics help some of the people some of the time, and this is probably more due to the bifido than the lacto. Second - you have to analyze the research. Is it in vitro? animal? if human, how many subjects? was it an in-house study with probable bias or done by independent researchers with no financial links. L reuteri has bad data for weight loss for ex. See my video on obesity and type 2 diabetes. Three - you have to consider the historical data over the past 20+ yrs which is mostly 16S. Almost always only going down to the genus level, so many data points only indicate lacto as bad - we don't know which one or more species. but if you look at the PCR and shotgun data, which is at the species level, no one species appears to be beneficial across the board. However, it is very much opposite with the species from the butyrate-producing, oxygen-sensitive superstars of the gut. Everyone has got to stop this fixation with Lacto marketing. Watch the videos. Just follow what I'm saying. Why try something that may help (or may hurt) when you can try something that will probably help? I have no axe to grind with Lacto, I'm just meticulously following the data, and the data is UGLY. And by applying what I know for many years, my level of success is excellent. Just watch the videos.

    Please have a presentation on spore-based probiotics. Microbiome Labs is making a statement that their MegaSporeBiotics actually causes the keystone species such as f. prau to increase, and has studies to back this up. The question is, will your plan of merely feeding the microbiome foods that the keystone species love really make a difference in people who are very dysbiotic? Or have Crohn's disease? Prebiotic foods also feed pathogenic bacteria, and it seems likely that consuming prebiotic foods will cause all the bacteria to grow but not shift the balance of the dysbiosis.

    • @TheMicrobiomeExpert
      @TheMicrobiomeExpert 3 дні тому

      You are correct. Prebiotics also can feed pathogens. This is a topic I mention often, which is why I don't like the current definition of prebiotics. My method works. In some people the results are astonishing, in others significant progress is made, with more room to go. Keep watching the videos. I recommend the video on pH to better understand.

I read also that oral bacteria is necessary for proper digestion of dietady nittates (lettuce, etc) to release NO in the gut. I am concerned I lack these oral bacteria due to heavy use pf oral antiseptics.

      it will not reach the colon. it will be rapidly absorbed. there are coated butyrate products which are touted to reach the colon, but when it comes to the colon, you want to increase the bacteria which produce butyrate for more reasons than just butyrate. oral butyrate will be absorbed as i stated, and can help systemically. so it's not useless, and i do recommend it at times, but NOT for colon health.

    Hello sir, very interesting presentation. To fix gut dysbiosis would you recomment HMO over FMT, especially in a case of very low bifido? Thanks for any info

      No I would not, but I would also not recommend FMT for all. It's the last resort. It works great, but there are other measures to be taken first. If you need help, feel free to schedule a consult with me at Themicrobiomeexpert.com

    I wish your videos could be more understandable to the average person. I respect your knowledge , but find it hard to understand. 😢

      Your point is well taken. I've had this conversation more than once. I just have two things to say. 1. As you watch more videos, the concepts and names will become more familiar with repetition. 2. My goal is to teach new facts and concepts to people of all types, patients, doctors, scientists, etc - and in order to do that and justify my title of THE EXPERT, I need to present new material and concepts based on complex science.

    Do you think it is enough to simply eat a handful of unhulled brown rice every day instead of rice bran powder? The only rice bran supplement I could find on the market is intended as animal feed. Thank you very much for the valuable insights. I suffer from ME/CFS - with dysbiosis, and no naturopath or functional medicine practitioner has been able to give me any really useful guidance on how to build up my gut properly.

    Wow, very informative thanks a bunch! I have no growth of lactobaccillus species so i am supplementing a probiotic and prebiotic for that.. how long would you recommend to supplement lactobacillus for in order for it to establish itself in the gut? Thanks Doc

      Please watch my videos a bit more. I don't recommend Lactobacillus for those with dysbiosis. And in one of my videos, I talk about how even the probiotics people admit that probiotics don't take up residency. It's quite fun and educational to regulate FOS for throughput rates...and periodic rapid cleansings.
