If you have those symptoms you most likely need to take glycine (just glycine, not TMG), which is the primary nutrient the body uses to mop up excess methyl groups.
If I had the money I would definitely be interested to pick your brain on the matter!
Yes it is from catecholamines. You have to look at more than just mthfr. Slow COMT can make you sensitive to methyl donors
Wallach's 70-80's dissections defined about 500 different diseases associated with depleted soils related mineral deficiency. I imagine that good taxa would then take the less-efficient secondary/tertiary pathways to achieve their reactions, but evidently the efficiency drops precipitously....while that circumstance then favors the bad competitors. It's inconvenient, but the commercially available simple substrates just may not provide quite enough. Aren't we still stuck with supplements?
Any information on a substitute for the apples in your program? I am on your SIBO one and the apples are killing my teeth sensitivity.
Yes, you can buy a pectin supplement online. It's just a little challenging. As there are ingredient issues. Send me an email, and I'll send you a link to one that is a little pricey, but appears to be the best available.
Thanks again. I periodically take Bifidobacterium Longum. Zero gut issues.
It's good to hear you have no gut issues.
Thanks for all your videos. They are very informative and helpful in explaining the complexity of the microbiome. You mention in multiple videos that Lactobacillus appears to be more abundant in dysbiotic guts. However, there are many types of Lactobacillus and some of them have benefits backed by research. One example is Lactobacillus Reuteri DSM 17938. Does your research backed recommendation to avoid Lactobacillus in dysbiotc states apply to all strains whatsoever?
I would like to know the answer to this too. I stopped Culturelle a month ago based upon this advice, but pathogens have grown and created issues. I think it is complicated, and I have taken note of that he said that too much lactate will suppress the good flora. But the Culturelle was also doing something to help.
I'll try to be brief. First - I do say that probiotics help some of the people some of the time, and this is probably more due to the bifido than the lacto. Second - you have to analyze the research. Is it in vitro? animal? if human, how many subjects? was it an in-house study with probable bias or done by independent researchers with no financial links. L reuteri has bad data for weight loss for ex. See my video on obesity and type 2 diabetes. Three - you have to consider the historical data over the past 20+ yrs which is mostly 16S. Almost always only going down to the genus level, so many data points only indicate lacto as bad - we don't know which one or more species. but if you look at the PCR and shotgun data, which is at the species level, no one species appears to be beneficial across the board. However, it is very much opposite with the species from the butyrate-producing, oxygen-sensitive superstars of the gut. Everyone has got to stop this fixation with Lacto marketing. Watch the videos. Just follow what I'm saying. Why try something that may help (or may hurt) when you can try something that will probably help? I have no axe to grind with Lacto, I'm just meticulously following the data, and the data is UGLY. And by applying what I know for many years, my level of success is excellent. Just watch the videos.
faecalibacterium prausnitzii never told me I should be ashamed of myself (as far as I know)

thank you once again.
Please have a presentation on spore-based probiotics. Microbiome Labs is making a statement that their MegaSporeBiotics actually causes the keystone species such as f. prau to increase, and has studies to back this up. The question is, will your plan of merely feeding the microbiome foods that the keystone species love really make a difference in people who are very dysbiotic? Or have Crohn's disease? Prebiotic foods also feed pathogenic bacteria, and it seems likely that consuming prebiotic foods will cause all the bacteria to grow but not shift the balance of the dysbiosis.
You are correct. Prebiotics also can feed pathogens. This is a topic I mention often, which is why I don't like the current definition of prebiotics. My method works. In some people the results are astonishing, in others significant progress is made, with more room to go. Keep watching the videos. I recommend the video on pH to better understand.
What is your take on something like 2-5 grams of MSM for overall gut microbiome support?
There are so many things I'd do first before that. I simply never recommend it, and my results are excellent. Keep watching the videos and you'll better understand.

liver tastes like hell. once in a while I'll boil it down with some marrow bones and chicken feet into a stew.

Hello! What are your thoughts on Oral probiotics like BLIS K12 and K18 ? I am considering these for my oral hygiene roitine. I read also that oral bacteria is necessary for proper digestion of dietady nittates (lettuce, etc) to release NO in the gut. I am concerned I lack these oral bacteria due to heavy use pf oral antiseptics.
I would probably lighten up and the antiseptics and encourage a proper diet. The prebiotics within whole foods should help to replenish what has been depleted. There are also supplements prebiotics in various forms for the mouth. And for sure I'd floss.
Thank you so much for this teaching I am so interested in understanding all this but a whole new world 👍👌👏❤️
you're welcome as always
Hope there Will be a replay for this fantastisk opetunity as I Will be traveling on this date 😅❤
I think we'll release the whole thing, and also in parts

What bacteria produce more exothermic reactions ?
I would say that your lab questions aren't particularly relevant for this forum, but thanks for your interest.
At some Covid19 dispneeic patients I see tendency of blood to agglutinate at relative low blood temperature. Did microbiome afect level of IgM cryoglobuline ?or cold agglutinine ? or increase thermogenesis ?
Using warmed oxigen mix at body temperature at dispeeic Covid19 patients with cold agglutinine (?) ( on ambulance) oxigen saturation increased more rapidly.
I would say that your lab questions aren't particularly relevant for this forum, but thanks for your interest.
Did You know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 better replicate ? Why? Because german virologist Christian Drosten suggest that SARS COV2 better replicate at very low tissue temperature 34-35 C Theoretically higher mucoseal and body temperature protect against Covid19. Did microbiome afect body temperature ?
I would say that your lab questions aren't particularly relevant for this forum, but thanks for your interest.

Guy, if you to choose one to quickly raise bifido would you choose lactulose or HMOs? Currently writing a paper on this
I bought a few of guys protocols he doesn’t focus on just one specific species of bacteria, his protocol feeds all good guys with 5 or 6 different fibers
I don't like this game, but my answer is neither of those two. why are you trying to increase bifido? is it just the genus or a species in particular? why just bifido? if this is for a specific someone does this person have active ulcerative colitis or parkinson's disease? try watching some of my videos. I think you could use a change in persective

How do we upregulate our butyrate production?
watch my videos and you'll learn more than any doctor knows
@TheMicrobiomeExpert I have so much to talk with you about after watching this video. As a long covid (unvaccinated) survivor of three years so many key words resonate with me- butyrate, serotonin, bifido, lactobacillus and cytokines have been many of my issues and I think are key to my suffering . Have you addressed the correlation???
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You're welcome to schedule an initial consultation with me on my website, Themicrobiomeexpert.com
Very very good information and easy to understand ❤
thank you
This info is GOLD! TFS
thank you
So simple and logical...and there's no Pharma Big money motivations involved.
you are correct
Does it help to oral butyrate? Does it reach the colon to be effective? Any options out there to take, if so?
it will not reach the colon. it will be rapidly absorbed. there are coated butyrate products which are touted to reach the colon, but when it comes to the colon, you want to increase the bacteria which produce butyrate for more reasons than just butyrate. oral butyrate will be absorbed as i stated, and can help systemically. so it's not useless, and i do recommend it at times, but NOT for colon health.
@@TheMicrobiomeExpert thank you! Do we do this with taking different kinds of fiber then? If so, which kinds do you recommend to increase these types of bacteria in the colon?
You're welcome to purchase one of my protocols on my website, Themicrobiomeexpert.com, or schedule a consultation with me.
You can get some green plantain flour (sold in African stores) and inositol to feed the butyrate producing bacteria.
@@janineclemons746 thanks Janine. Do you know how much the ratios are per day to take of each of those?
Probiotics helped defeat my post covid depression and fatigue in only a few days (covid wipes Bifidobacterium). But after a few months I don't observe any helpful effect from them anymore. I feel more interested in fibre now.
Keep watching. And you're always welcome to schedule a consultation with me at Themicrobiomeexpert.com
Excellent, thank you, I have been listening to your posts for only a few days but find them fascinating. I wonder if Lactobacteria are easy for pro biotic sellers to grow on mass which is why they all seem to be pushing it?
you're correct. I mention this at times. If they could grow, manufacture, transport and have a good shelf life for the true heroes of the gut, then it would be a different story. But F prausnitzii dies within two minutes of air exposure. Hence, you get marketing, and not consistent results.
Based on this should I throw away my milk kefir?
I’m scheduled for a minor surgical procedure which will involve post-op antibiotics. I would like to avoid the antibiotics but not sure how. Any suggestions? (The responsibly and risk being purely my own)
I'm unsure of the details, and this is your decision. If it were me, I'd probably avoid them, as I've done in the past. One of my ex-girlfriends is a doctor, and she was always recommending antibiotics for basic things. I always refused and somehow magically survived. This all depends on the person. For example, if you have bad oral health and meet certain high risk cardio criteria then it would be a different story for oral surgery. But I'm healthy, and I'd like to stay that way.
Hard to believe spicy food is reported so infrequently!
True, it can really set people off.
I get no issues with garlic onions or asparagus, but inulin in supplements blows me up!
Which makes sense. It's kind of similar to white sugar vs fruit. One is a sudden supply, the other is more gradual. But there are other considerations as well to take into account. Feel free to schedule a consult with me at Themicrobiomeexpert.com
Hello sir, very interesting presentation. To fix gut dysbiosis would you recomment HMO over FMT, especially in a case of very low bifido? Thanks for any info
No I would not, but I would also not recommend FMT for all. It's the last resort. It works great, but there are other measures to be taken first. If you need help, feel free to schedule a consult with me at Themicrobiomeexpert.com
I wish your videos could be more understandable to the average person. I respect your knowledge , but find it hard to understand. 😢
Your point is well taken. I've had this conversation more than once. I just have two things to say. 1. As you watch more videos, the concepts and names will become more familiar with repetition. 2. My goal is to teach new facts and concepts to people of all types, patients, doctors, scientists, etc - and in order to do that and justify my title of THE EXPERT, I need to present new material and concepts based on complex science.
Do you think it is enough to simply eat a handful of unhulled brown rice every day instead of rice bran powder? The only rice bran supplement I could find on the market is intended as animal feed. Thank you very much for the valuable insights. I suffer from ME/CFS - with dysbiosis, and no naturopath or functional medicine practitioner has been able to give me any really useful guidance on how to build up my gut properly.

Wow, very informative thanks a bunch! I have no growth of lactobaccillus species so i am supplementing a probiotic and prebiotic for that.. how long would you recommend to supplement lactobacillus for in order for it to establish itself in the gut? Thanks Doc
Please watch my videos a bit more. I don't recommend Lactobacillus for those with dysbiosis.
