I think it was the most exciting thing in my life. we got a chance to meet Robert Redford and get a picture with him. You would never believe he was such a big star in that movie. He was just so nice and as handsome as I always thought he was. I won't mention the other "star". Bradford Dillman and the 2 female actresses were really nice. Such great memories!

very rude. As far as I'm concerned, Robert Redford was the star. She didn't like people even glancing at her. Everyone had to wait till the next scene, and wait for her to leave her trailer, and someone carried her books in the college scene. It still was a great experience. She
@@catherinejoannides2229 It sounds like it was an exciting experience for you -- what a happy memory. Just for the record, you've titled the scene incorrectly. This is not their first meeting; they already know each other, if only casually, from uni. Kind of surprising that a fan of the film wouldn't know that.
I am younger generation. This is my first time actually watching Robert Redford's movie. Yes...he is incrediblly good looking. Not that anyone can see this level even in Hollywood nowadays. Also I couldn't understand why these two opposite people fell in love and lived together. This movie remindes me of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He must have seen her as a complement of his missing piece. Music was good, Redford was great to see, even though story is dull and unrealistic.
Redford made a movie a year earlier, called the Candidate, which was almost certainly based at least in part on Bobby Kennedy. BTW, if you thought John Kennedy had charisma, Bobby Kennedy's charisma was out of this world.

This film looks remarkably awful! Although it's somewhat interesting to spot a very young, extremely "geeky" looking James Woods! And obviously playing against type as a commie sympathizer, LOL!

"I can see why he left". The way the movie was originally shot, he totally still loved her when he left. They divorced because she was informed on to the FBI (by the James Woods character) for her communist days, and if they stayed together he would have been blacklisted and couldn't work in Hollywood. But then the producers got cold feet and changed the ending to make it look like they divorced because of the infidelity. I remember watching it at the time, thinking "this doesn't make sense.
