- Hey guys! Here I am introducing some new characters on my channel. Soobin, Ely and Lia are my friends who have a similar background as me where they lived in the Philippines for really long--even longer than me! It was so fun doing this challenge with them because we all have a common ground that we could relate to. 🥺 So I hope you guys enjoyed it too!!
I'm pretty sure you'll wonder what their story (in the Philippines) is like, so I have another video coming up with them tomorrow! Please stay tuned for that too. 💖

Hello, Jessica and friends! I'm one of your subscribers. I'm originally from the Philippines but I've been living here in Japan for 5yrs now.
I just want to say thank you for creating informative and fun vlogs about our country, the Philippines. As an OFW, having the experience watching your videos reminds me of the joy I used to have when I was in my own country. It's a nostalgia whenever you talk about stuff I can relate to. I miss the Philippines, but your videos give me a sense of relief from homesickness.
I hope for your success in life. Take care!

She made me laugh when she said the meaning of EDSA is "Everyone Dance, Sing".. 😂😂😂

Despite the fact that more filipinos are influenced of hallyu, here are 3 pretty koreans giving their best to feed us something filipino. As a Filipino I feel kilig because of this. I request another vlog with them Ms.Jessica.😁

Hey Jessica, on the 5 provinces: Cebu and La Union are both provinces, Manila is not a province but the country's capital city, Bacolod is a city in the province of Negros Occidental, Boracay is an island that is just a part of Malay town. I enjoyed your video. 🙂
I like how Liah is being so competitive and shy at the same time. 😂
9:26, technically wrong. It's English and Filipino. Common mistake made by foreigners is thinking Tagalog is the Official language of the Philippines but it's actually just a local language of NCR Region. The official language of the Philippines if Filipino which is a combination or derived from Tagalog, English, Spanish, Bisaya and Ilocano.
For example, In Tagalog, you call a teacher, as Guro. the Filipino term for Guro is Titser which is based on the English word 'Teacher'. Another example is Book, which is Aklat in Tagalog but in Filipino it is Libro. Another good example is the word for Room, which is Silid in Tagalog and in Filipino it's called Kwarto.
so Tagalog is the deeper (meaning) dialect of Filipino.
In Hiligaynon teacher is "Maestro/Meastra" which is also a Spanish word.
@@yeetah42025 sa chavacano rin maestra/maestro rin tawag
Still incorrect. Tagalog is both a group or people and a dialect. Filipino is Tagalog-based language. Back when Manuel L. Quezon was the president (Ama ng Wikang Pambansa), there were protests from other tribes (ilocano, bisaya, bicolano) whether Tagalog should be the official language since it is the widest spoken dialect in the Philippines. To make it inclusive, he renamed the language Filipino to end the debate. Simple as that. Filipino acquiring words from foreign language like Chinese and Spanish is a product of natural acquisition and language evolution and not the main identity of it
Well said. Just to piggyback on your statement, The confusion most likely stems from the fact we also use the term "Filipino" in reference to people. Tagalog, IMO, is better understood and appreciated as a language by foreigners. It is to easily identify whether we are talking about people or language. Filipino as our official language is normally taught in Philippine schools per se but not well-communicated to other countries. Moreover, foreigners tend to see "Tagalog" on books, official forms, and even documents as an option for language but never "Filipino". It even made me question myself if the Philippines recently changed it to Tagalog instead of Filipino.
soo proud of you trying really learning tagalog in due time. lia eli and jessica youll be fluent like jin ho and d Ryan bang love you all
