Hi all, Thank you for watching and enjoying this video and for engaging about this topic which we truly appreciate! To clarify about the “three stars in the Philippine flag” concerns: There are three different versions of the three stars from the time of Ambrosio Rianzes Bautista to Emilio Aguinaldo and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. All of us have been taught in school that the three stars in the Philippine flag represent the three main group islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao-and that is not wrong too. The truth, however, according to the Declaration of "Act of Proclamation of the Independence of the Filipino People" (Acta de la proclamación de la independencia del pueblo Filipino) signed and publicly read by Ambrosio Rianzares Bautista on 12 June 1898 during the first hoisting of the Philippine flag is that "the three stars, signify the three principal Islands of this Archipelago-Luzon, Mindanao, and Panay where this revolutionary movement started". “The stars were understood as representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao after a speech President Emilio Aguinaldo delivered to the Malolos Congress on 29 September 1898. Hope this helps clarify things and makes us more curious to know about the Philippines’ history and more! 😊
Still though, Visayas should be an acceptable answer given that it was changed into that! There are reasons why they changed it to Visayas. And maybe one of it could be, is to include those other places in Visayas region, not just the four provinces in Panay! The interviewer could have just elaborated later on that "it was originally Panay" and just accept the answer Visayas. Putting the big WRONG on screen makes it kinda offensive for those people who are not in Panay but in other places of Visayas (feels like excluded from the flag)! Also, this will just confuse other tourist who shows interest in learning Philippine history and geography. Instead of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao they'll keep it in their mind that it is: Luzon, Panay, Mindanao! and that is really sad..
Hi,@@Yannie555! We genuinely appreciate your feedback and sentiment regarding our content. During the shooting process, we did provide an explanation for the issue at hand. However, regrettably, it didn't make it into the final edit and was substituted with a brief text explanation when the answer was displayed. Recognizing that this brief explanation might not have been sufficient, we have taken the step to pin this comment to provide a more comprehensive clarification. Thank you for your understanding and for sharing your thoughts with us!
Nah, it is better not to instill a different answer other than the correct one. And technically, "the origin" isn't even stated in the question so that even made the answer more confusing. The standard answer and more acceptable one is actually Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Panay is ok if we are talking about the origin, but the question is rooted in a general point of view which is the default correct answer and that is the three major islands of the Philippines. Be careful because a lot of kids are also watching the vlog and it may cause confusion in their part and the educators in the Philippines. We don't want to misinform the youth about this especially Filipinos even politicians knew that the 3 stars represent Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Heck, majority of Filipinos knew about it. So, don't force that Panay must be the right answer for that question because it totally fuels misconception knowing that the question isn't even implying its origin in the first place.
@@Yannie555I second this. Truly, some of the researchers of this particular vlog doesn't even consider the negative implication of the characteristically thoughtless answer and the lack of valid subject in the question to justify Panay as the answer.
@@Yannie555 True very insensitive. Technically, the problem lies within the question itself. In the first place, it wasn't even indicated that the question needs an origin based answer which I believe justifies Panay but in this case it's different. The question implies a straightforward aspect that needs a direct answer. No origin eme. Just the true answer. And that's Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. EDIT: And she said they were explaining that they're talking about the origin when in fact it wasn't even rectified after answering that particular question. Tsk

Thank you for spreading facts about the Philippine languages. Yes people, Philippines have around 180+ languages in the country. If you are an avid fan of Korean variety and media, they always use the term 'satoori' which pertains to the regional dialect of their provinces. What is the difference between their dialects and our languages? When people migrate or transfer from the rural areas to their capital. They can still communicate with each other. In our case, when people go to different provinces we cannot understand each other because of the difference in 'language'. This is similar to Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and so on. Hence, we refer our mother tongue in the province as LANGUAGES and not DIALECTS. I hope this is clear to all! Nice video! :)

I don't know about other areas but here in our area, there are actually a lot of pancit types here. examples are PANCIT CANTON (the brown one and a bit thick, but not too much like lomi) PANCIT BIHON (brown one and thin) PANCIT MALABON (orange one and has tinapa powder and chicharon) AND ETC. these three are actually the most famous here in our area like when you go to a carenderia they have these three types and will ask you what pancit you want. PANCIT CANTON here is like PANCIT BATO but more brown and a little dry. Thats all xD

Oi what is this? Back in the days our school taught us that the 3 stars in the Philippine flag is Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Even in exams, we write those 3 on our test papers and it will be marked as correct. This is the very first time I'm hearing Panay represents one of the stars in Philippine Flag. ⁉️⁉️❓❓

"Pearl of the orient seas" you only learn that in elementary school in the philippines. There is no way you will learn that unless you went to elementary school in the phils. I can understand why they did not got it.

WAIT WAIT WAITTT. JUST GOTTA DEFEND JESSICA. Thats all xD
not first!
The meaning of 3 stars in the Philippine Flag are Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao they are the 3 Island groups. and Panay is an Island that belongs to the Visayas Archipelago. Thanks for trying, but you guys are amazing and you know a lot about the Philippines. Kudos!
*Jinho is a 'guy bestfriend material'.*
First time I saw this channel and I’m so impressed by Jinho. His tagalog is so good and humour on point if I didn’t watch the video I would believe he’s filipino. I really enjoyed this video. i sub. Thanks guys I laughed a lot and had so much fun watching you

LOL at JinHo's face during the Darna question, he was like "uggh too easy" while Jessica was struggling!
These two have very strong sibling energy, nakakatuwa!
6:34 - Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao should be the correct answer.
Three five-pointed stars, one at each of the triangle's points, stand for the three major island groups: Luzon, Visayas (originally referring to Panay Island) and Mindanao.
Tiktik is the informer po.
istg there are so many koreans now that are more filipino than any other filipinos 😂 but it is nice seeing them knowing this much about the philippines ❤ such an honor! and when jinho siad he is happy and jessica is having fun! nice! AND GRABE JINHO HE KNOWS EVEN KRIS AQUINO

"the three stars, signifying the three principal Islands of this Archipelago-Luzon, Mindanao, and Panay where this revolutionary movement started;"
-Emilio Aguinaldo(Acta de la proclamacion de independencia del pueblo Filipino, 1898)
the three stars represents the Luzon , Visayas and Mindanao🤦. "PANAY" is the name of one of the islands in the visayas. Panay is composed of 4 cities Iloilo, Aklan, Antique, Capiz ❤❤❤
The three stars represent Luzon ,Visayas Mindanao..Panay is an island located at western Visayas and has two largest cities called Roxas and Iloilo..
"Pearl of the orient seas" you only learn that in elementary school in the philippines. There is no way you will learn that unless you went to elementary school in the phils. I can understand why they did not got it.
Ang galing talaga ni jinho, ganda pa ng voice ❤😊
The Bonus Q "Who is the oldest vogue model in the Philippines?" shouldn't be write that way. Instead, Who is the oldest woman featured in cover of Vogue Philippines? Since Apo Whang-Od is not vogue model but featured because of her skill doing the traditional tattoo or mambabatok at her old age and her body tattoo.
Ala akala ko mindanao ang biggest island of the philippines haha. Sino pwede maka-explain why man daw, salamat kaayo~
Galing ng content Ate Jessica at Jinho, enjoy masyado!
