Our dryer burned up recently, and we had all intentions of replacing our set with Speed Queens. I had watched reviews for years, spoken to my salesman, and had a plan, so once we smelled the electrical fire, and saw how black the inside of the control panel was on our older dryer, I knew who to call. Once I called Jonathon at ‪@MetroAppliances‬ I asked him if I would like the GE, or if the Speed Queen was still where I needed to stay. He told me that he thought we would love it, based on how I personally do laundry. Since he had the option to sell me the Speed Queens (more expensive and in stock) but did not, I valued his opinion and called around until I found one at another Metro location.
We are 2 weeks into using "Stella" as we've affectionately named her, and there are some definite bonuses, and also a few downsides.
