- Every year adventurous hikers attempt to thru hike the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) which stretches from the US/Mexico border to the US/Canada border through the Rocky Mountains.
In 2016 I joined their ranks, leaving the Mexico border and hiking 2800 miles to reach Canada 5 months later. I hope this video gives you a glimpse of that incredible experience.

This is a truly well put together travel memoir. Many folks think they've been on adventure; this is true adventure. I think I cried a little. I've hiked most of the ranges you went through, but the solemnity towards nature and the human spirit that comes from reaching it solely by foot is without compare. If you can drink from the fountain of life, drink deeply.

The best 38 minutes on UA-cam, hands down. Amazing footage, great crew, and a wonderful overview of the trail. Having just done a few bits and pieces of the trail, this video hooked me on the idea of doing the whole thing. Thanks for the humor, tears, and insights.

Some of the views almost brought tears to my eyes and i wasnt even there, i decided earlier this year that i will hike the CDT some day, this video makes me want to do it even more!

I cried like a little bebbe. Shit. I passed up a great opportunity to go hiking in the northern parts this summer, and now I am kicking myself for it.
I've just had the 2nd most stressful 24hrs of my life and every time the pressure goes up I play a little more video and it calms me. I imagine some day I will have to do this hike or one like it myself. THANK YOU

This is such a beautiful video with great music, I especially liked the Lord Huron put in here. This makes me want to go thru hike a trail so badly, but I'm still only 15 and in school so I can't yet. I have big hopes that someday I can have an experience as grand as yours! I don't know how I became interested in this - but I do plan to Thru-Hike the AT and after watching this video, I am adding the CDT to the bucket list! Thanks for the inspiration!

Inspiring. I'm hiking the whole coast of Britain (5000+ miles) in stages but what these guys did is awesome.
I freaking love this video, i keep watching it from time to time. This video grabbed me when i first saw it a few years ago and really helped light the fire to want to thru hike. I did my first thru hike on the SHT last year and I will be making my first attempt on one of the big 3 on the AT next year and cannot wait. Someday i will try and tackle the CDT and i cannot wait for that day to come! Thanks for the great video!!!

What an amazing hike and I am amazed at your stamina! I usually do day hikes now and I turned 60 last Wednesday so I don't have the energy I had as a kid. I'll keep hiking as long as my body holds out. Congrats again on an amazing journey. I just told my wife how I appreciate these videos. They allow us to see part of the journey even though we are not there. Thanks for the effort you put into this video. I appreciate it very much!

I will be hiking the CT this summer so it was pretty cool to see some of the trail I will be hiking, and I always love to hear how much people are awed by the WRR...as a Wyomingite we are proud of our natural/public lands!

Man I found this again after years. I remember when you first uploaded it. I had been following you because of your PCT video. Still my favorite on the PCT and I'm still so sad it got wrecked by copyright or whatever happened. If you can somehow bring that video back to life that would be amazing.

or you can hike there on the Great Divide trail
Wow. what a beautiful video, the scenery, the music and you and your companions. you seem like such a chill and pleasant guy. i somehow cant wrap my head around the thought of conquering such a distance by just relentlessly roaming north. high respect for you guys. hopefully i will be able to hike the cdt and more important the will. congrats man keep it up !
