Sonic Heroes - Power Plant (Sega Genesis Extended Remix)

- This is my first Genesis remix of a Sonic Heroes track, and thought this one would be a decent candidate for genesification. Uses only classic Sonic sounds from the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, which are 16 bit instruments. The l2nd half rearranges some parts to change it up a little.
Footage is Sonic Heroes and Sonic Classic Heroes mod hack.

I played the GameCube version. It's somewhat different compared to the Adventure games but it's still enjoyable in a sense.
Yuzoboy 2:20 exemplifies why I don't think it's underrated at all.

ReloadPsi I meant as in making their OWN remixes and not using a MIDI.
Snakeshroom I believe the various act 2 remixes of the first two games' soundtracks were done from scratch, but were also collaborative with somebody else, so it's up to you whether you want to spin that as not being from scratch or not.
I get the distinct impression you watched that video by Ongaku Concept explaining what "MIDI slapping" was but have now formed an extremist opinion on the matter without really considering the positive points the video mentioned.

Snakeshroom Neither had I; in fact I had to go back and find the video just to remember the name of the uploader, but it's the only one I can find that decries the misuse of MIDI for remixes - most videos on the subject are just tutorials on how to do it. Even then, that same video I'm mentioning still talks about why using MIDI isn't just a bad thing. Besides, the entire reason people make MIDI files is so that people can... well, use them for stuff. Games, videos, just to listen to, remixing, etc. And besides, your assumption that all of Yuzoboy's work is just MIDI slapped is just that - an assumption.
But you are nevertheless coming across as self-righteously parroting another opinion, and your last comment is reminding me of Irate Gamer claiming he'd never watched AVGN. (And that comparison makes me feel old, god damn.)
