My head cannon is that Cynthia is the strongest champion but when she went to fight Leon all the hype and media obsession of Galar made her go “Oh, if I beat this guy there’s 100% going to be way too much attention on me” and decided to go easy cause she didn’t want a bunch of Galarian paparazzi following her to gain information on “The one that bested the invincible champion” and getting in the way of her studies.
Hmm. Acceptable
I'd definitely do that if I were in her situation. Although, I am honestly somewhat of an introvert.
I could see Stone doing the same thing.

For some reason, I feel like who ever found out about Z Moves had a great idea of pranking everyone by saying a dance has to be done for the Move to activate.
And that whenever they look at one using a Z Move, they just laugh their ass off.
This would be amazing. Then imagine the characters meet the inventor in some time travel Legends Arceus style, and he just raises his wrist like he's mega evolving and the z move works and the characters are all just watching in disbelief like "WTF I've been sticking my ass out for the dark and ghost type z move dances like a fool when that's all I needed to do?"
So that's why you T pose and do a "BOI 👋👋" when you do the Ice move
bahahaha that’d be amazing, it’d definitely make sense for why it’s such a unique method of activating a battle mechanic

My Headcannon is that Guzma genuinely thinks of every single member of Team Skull as his own children so they can have the father figure that Guzma never had as a kid.
Edit: He remembers all of their names too despite them all looking similar
That makes them being afraid of his anger even more painful

I have a few headcanons about Penny:
1. The bathroom in Penny’s room is completely stuffed with Eevee and Eeveelution merchandise she bought online.
2. The Pokeballs for Espeon and Glaceon hidden somewhere in her room.
3. She has a few shiny Eevees she caught from mass outbreaks in her boxes.
She has at least one Eevee plush (coming from someone with three)
I would say I have two headcanons:
1: Karen, Sidney, and Grimsley are friends and play poker together about once a month and play with their pokemon. Grimsley is too competitive, Karen is normal, and Sidney still doesn't know how to play.
2: The reason Penny has a Umbreon is because of windows being closed and there being no lights in her room. Her Umbreon always thought it was night and evolved.
I only know hoe to play picture poker from Mario Bros DS and Mario 64 DS
The second one is so cute 😊
I can also see Penny basically being nocturnal, or losing track of time herself. Her and her Umbreon both have the most messed up sleep schedule and they’re too tired to change it.
My headcannon, is that before Gladion ran away from Lusamine, she was actually dressing him up like his father, she was trying to replace Mohl with his son, and Gladion of course got extra creeped out. It never got "too weird", but Gladion kinda got a really bad vibe and that just added to his baggage.
Idk, Lusamine in SM just... Seemed to be the type to try to do something like this.
I have a lot of Pokemon headcannons but my favorite one is this: Sometimes a Pokemon is caught to be trained to help someone with a disability (like service animals in our world).
For example: a Growlithe or Arcanine that can guide their blind owner around, a Lucario that can sense if their trainer is about to have a seizure, any psychic Pokemon that can telepathically let a deaf trainer hear things, etc.

One of my trainers (Cielo) is blind and has a whole flock of bird Pokémon to guide him around.
He also has a personal vendetta against Larry (he doesn’t have the passion to be the best flying type specialist in paldea)

I think that the models for the evil team grunts are always the same because the Trainer remembers them by their association and their Uniform
My head cannon is that missingno is just a mew that tried evolving into a new species but kept changing it's mind halfway through and eventually became unable to evolve due to the amount of alterations it did

Maybe it’s a failed mew experiment which was a prototype mewtwo. Maybe it got discarded after it maybe had a mutation or something went wrong that turned it into a glitch. I mean this would make sense since it’s on the same island as the Pokémon mansion which was where mewtwo was made
I just use the lore from Rocket Edition.
My headcanon is that Selene has insomnia caused by stress from having to move across the world and not being able to see her dad as much because of it (the bs she went through in the main story didn’t help things).
On a light note, she and her pokemon ended up developing a habit of sleeping in a pile which has helped her to fall asleep. Also she and Elio are twins.

To add onto the pile (pun intended) of SM Headcannons, I feel like Slene and Elio have slightly inhuman traits as a result of Ultra Space radiation (like eyes that kinda glow in the dark, or skin with a slight blue tinge)
Leon is actually my favourite Pokémon character so let’s do him! (Sorry that they’re long)
- I like to think that after losing his Champion Tittle, having a little more time on his hands Leon ended up finding lots of new hobbies and discovered he actually has quite a few more talents apart from Pokémon battles!
-Another one is he just isn’t super caught up on internet trends. He doesn’t use social media much whereas Hop and Raihan use it more than he does, so Leon is probably the type to still be dabbing in 2023. It’s a little cringe but he’s just so charming and just has the most genuine smile on his face as he does it, still thinking it’s cool and just trying to make people laugh, nobody has it in them to tell him it’s not cool anymore.
- AND FINALLY- People joke that Hop is the “least favourite child” of the two since Leon has all the pictures in the house and everything. But I actually like to think it was Hops idea since he loves and idolizes Leon so much. Their mother agreed to it since it’s heavily implied Leon doesn’t visit home as much anymore since he doesn’t have much time, so she agreed so it could feel like Leon was still around and with them in some way. Basically they just love him a lot and Leon loves and misses them just as much,,,

My headcanon is that James takes Jessie on dates when they are not trying to steal Ash's Pikachu.

My headcannon is that Giovanni isn't afraid of almost anything but has a mild fear of Red. Specifically after their Gym Battle. Nothing too big but like he flinches whenever Red appears in a room and he gets unnerved if Red is standing too close.

The reason Pikachu got skinner in later season is because he isn't drinking as much Ketchup that he likely steal from Prof. Oak.

my headcanon is that Ash's good mood comes from him FaceTime-ing all his pokemon, it keeps him from being homesick and it keeps his pokemon (epically pikachu who also misses his teammates) from feeling depressed
- Geeta wandered into area zero when she was younger, explaining her glimmora
- Post-hgss, Lance gives Silver another chance to grow by having him stay in the Dragon's Den
- Cogita is implied to be immortal, so it would be cool if she was actually Cynthia's grandmother in DPPt
- Barry is friends with Caitlin and Thorton, considering his dad works at the same place as them and they're all around the same age
- I actually read something with the idea that Nemona ends up in the nurse's office really often bc she gets way too into battle, and one of those incidents led to her getting her arm brace
- Iris' social media pages are run by the unova elite four
Jumping off of the Geeta one; I've had a running theory from when I first played Violet, that the crystals of Area Zero and the poisons of Glimmora have a dellusioning effect on the ego and dreams of those exposed to them. They cause the terastal phenomenon that essentially projects a previously impossible inner power of a Pokemon to change type through a grand crown on their head, or even doubles their existing type power.
And the professor of each game seemed to have been on the course to settle down and start a family, even committing to having a kid...until quickly becoming utterly obsessed with Area Zero and ignoring all sorts of paradoxes and contradictions in the existence of the Paradox Pokemon when trying to find and capture them, essentially willing them into existence.
And with Geeta, she is the only trainer we see with a Glimmora with her, and is confidently ignoring all sorts of structural issues in the system she sits at the top of. Even her team structure, Glimmora is a fantastic lead, yet she ends with it at the cost of good strategy, indicating that maybe it's favouritism or the last thing she wants you to knock out.
@@lilpetz500 I love this!! also, considering how completely out there her design is, she looks a lot like nihilego when its merged with lusamine... her general color scheme, the league logo on her gloves look like the patterns on nihilego's tentacles, and she looks a little bit like malamar too w the hair

My headcannon is that the reason the protagonist is silent in gen 4 specifically is because they grew up with Barry who would never let them get a word in edgewise, and they just stopped bothering after a while. Now they don't talk out of habit and conditioning.

... god that makes sense. We adapted too well! Now whenever someone is talking to us and ask us if were listening we just stare off into space because we have never known what its like to be able to talk.
I actually did that once- my school was very loud and mean, so I just stopped talking for a year straight, and sometimes I get way too quiet out of habit, even though I was super talkative before.
I can't wait to see their faces when I talk again this year... hehe...

A few head cannons (I’ll add a few occasionally):
1. Archie wears a Speedo under his clothes at all times.
2. Yellow’s favorite food is pancakes.
3. Yellow didn’t get into the games because she overslept.
4. Volo has hemophobia (phobia of blood).
5. Silver and Green (talking about adventures. Oh, and the character who’s name is Green in the English version) wear Bobbi Pins at all times in case they ever need to break into a building.
6. Professor Turo loves dad jokes.
7. The Lusamine in the original SM acts like anime Lusamine when she gets cured.
Here are some of mine:
-Rui (from Colosseum) can see Shadow Pokémon due to having Aura Guardian abilities
-Mira is related to the Nurse Joys
-Valerie is Bill’s younger sister (thank HoopsandHipHop for that one)
-Kabu is Flannery’s grandfather (also thank Hoops)
-The surname of Lillie, Gladion, Lusamine and Mohn is “Aether”
I have the exact same headcanon for the Aether family because I used to think that was their actual canon surname-

Here are some of my favourite headcannons
1. Starter pokemon for a region are chosen specifically to be good starting pokemon for trainers. I like to imagine that owning one is the pokemon equivalent of getting a goldfish, and all the pokemon that you catch are you learning to take care of higher maintenance pokemon. It's like when you ask for a dog and your parents give you a goldfish instead, then once that dies you receive a couple of hamsters until you're responsible enough for a dog.
2. Emmet is a huge fan of Piers' music and everyone is always taken aback by this fact
some of my headcanons:
- the protagonist in black/white didnt leave Unova to search for N, but rather, shortly after N bids farewell, Ghetsis finds and tries to murder the protagonist but fails and then we had to leave Unova for safety. (and they went to kalos which would explain the Zekrom and Reshiram statues in xy)
- this one is very weird, dont ask, but Rei and Adaman from legends arceus are best friends who hang out a lot and they both love grilled cheese (and if anime existed in their time they would also love that)
- all 4 of the Unova protagonists are scared of heights, which is why they always ride the Ferris wheel with someone else and never alone
- Elesa and Nessa have a rivalry and constantly compete to see who’s better as a gym leader and in fashion as a model
One of my headcanons is that in Scarlet and Violet, the academy changing from Naranja to Uva is actually just a different branch of the same academy
I know it's one or the other in game, but if they were to reference it anywhere else, then it'd confirm which version is "canon"
I like the idea of it being split into two branches, which could explain why you'd be able to see Nemona with the Scarlet uniform and Arven with the Violet one, hypothetically
My headcannon isnt one i made myself, but i love it so much
Its that before Unova, ash was so depressed that he lost to Tobias (even thouhg he didnt show it in front of his friends) that he took a break from Pokemon altogether, so thats why he forgets things in Unova. He just forgot after taking like 5 months off.
I have one headcanon.
Raihan & Iono put on a rivalry in their streams & they're close friends that have Mom friend & Dad friend energy off their streams, with Raihan helping Iono learn ways to counter Ground Types even more than she already does.
I definitely agree with the Raihan/Iono "friendly streamer rivalry" headcanon. Also, Iono has 100% accidentally said the N-word on stream in a Pewdiepie-style gamer rage moment, but Raihan forgave her and she promised she would never do it again so it's all cool.

My headcanon is that Mimikyu looks like Nosk from Hollow Knight (Big spider) under its sheet and when no one is looking it uncurls itself and scuttles around, this would explain its relatively high speed and attack stats which seem way too high for something that small that moves so slowly in the overworld.
Canon for me and you
My head cannons are:
1) Giratina is strictly a rule person, Dialga is comic relief, and Palkia is somewhere in the middle.
2)Legends Arceus was Giratina’s angsty teen phase, Palkia has issues because of other pokemon messing with the fabric of space, and Dialga spins.
3)Every once in a while, Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina take on a human form and go to the mortal realm to hang out (or make sure the other two don’t do anything stupid in Giratina’s case) and at some point Giratina had enough and started yelling at his brothers, only for Arceus to come out of the mall right behind him, in a human form, carrying shopping bags.

Some Silvally headcanons I've been keeping for a while:
- After the events of Sun and Moon, what once was the Aether Foundation rebranded and started to mass manufacture Type: Null as rescue/therapy "dogs" for people, and that's why that one person in Galar just randomly gives you a Type: Null.
- The original 3 Silvally are owned by Gladion, Elio, and Selene
- The make and model of the original 3 are slightly different from mass produced Silvally, and are saught out by collectors

Ooh! And they could have a built-in type instead of the disc drive that the original three have!
@@CraftingGummi Actually, this gives me an idea. Instead of holding the type discs, it could use type-boosting items (fresh water, charcoal, etc.) to activate the RKS system
given how silvally (and arceus if playing bdsp) could act as whatever type it was spawned in as (genning in a fairy type silvally using pkhex without rks system or a memory would cause silvally to behave like a fairy type in sword and shield, same for arceus in bdsp and scarlet and violet), it’s not farfetched to believe that the galarian recreations of silvally were designed with the idea of not needing the ability or memory discs to change type at all, but the design plans were way too complicated so it was just sort of placed in there lol
8:38 It's technically cannon if you go off of the trading card lore, her mom packs everything behind Dawn's back and that is why she's seemingly prepared for everything. It's the card Mom's Kindness so you can witness the neat lore
I am so glad that my headcanon made it in! So why not, here is another one! This one is that Cynthia’s Gastrodon and Togekiss are best friends who are extremely supportive of each other. That is why when Togekiss is switched out for Gastrodon on Cynthia’s team in Platinum, Gastrodon is probably on the sidelines cheering her bestie on.
Adding on to this, her Garchomp and Lucario are rivals and training partners and this started back when they were a Gible and Riolu.
Geeta often hires out Larry’s various services to the Elite Four of foreign regions. Cynthia’s Garchomp can recognise him from scent alone due to his time dragonsitting, he’s read through every single one of Shauntal’s books as her editor, he’s Sidney’s main hair stylist and there’s times where he’s had to fill in for two or three members of the Unova league at once when they were off guarding Twist Mountain or visiting Alola or something.
He’s also penpals with Norman. In his very rare free time, he visits Hoenn and makes lunch for him, his family and Wally’s relatives.
Personal headcanon for Legends Arceus, Rei (exclusively Rei, some could fit Akari) can be a bit of a brick sometimes:
- He constantly bites the Plates when he gets them, even after being shocked, burnt, poisoned, and spacing out so hard he saw the future (he has been told off by Arceus for this)
- He always tries to eat the food in the balms, even after the Wardens stop him constantly
- He sometimes has a habit of throwing berries at a wild Pokemon instead of a Pokeball, often being followed by him being chased by said Pokemon
- He's had multiple close calls because he didn't anticipate a fall correctly, leading him to face plant on the ground or water before he could summon a Ride-mon (he has miraculously survived all of these falls, only really requiring moderate care afterward)
And one for Arceus:
- They've been known to butt dial the Player a lot, often waking them up at four in the morning while trying to contact Palkia/Dialga about the rifts, that and call at *very* inconvenient times too
Biting the plates sounds like something I would do. Purely to spite Arceus, though.
My HC Akari would absolutely do all of these things. And she'd kinda force Volo to tag along as a way to make sure he doesn't start anything.
Also, Volo created Metronome as an attack by accident.
My headcannon is that every pokemon eventually evolves into relicanth, as relicanth is the perfect lifeform
I've got this kinda sad headcanon that needs some explaining. It goes like this:
Once I beat Legends Arceus, my Ursaluna was gifted eternal life by Arceus. After watching all its teammates and eventually its owner die, it grew bitter and learned to despise Arceus for turning it immortal, and thus became corrupted by Giratina. It eventually made its way over to Kitakami (don't ask me how) and was drawn to the Timeless Woods due to its connection with Hisui (so yes, he's Bloodmoon Ursaluna). A couple hundred years later, I was reincarnated as the main character in Scarlet/Violet, and coincidentally was selected to go on a field trip to Kitakami (Arceus rigged the odds so I could help bring Usaluna back to the light). Ursaluna sensed my presence and came out to see if it really was me. After seeing my unmistakable battle skills, it realized it really was me and decided to join me in my journey once more.
Oh my God yes.
It's so sad... I LOVE IT.
Okay,one question,WHY THE QUACK ONLY MAKE URSALUNA IMMORTAL?!
i feel like the players from scarlet and violet REALLY love food, i cannot un-interpret the eating animation as them just going ballistic and absolutely gobbling it down
oh yeah also i feel like you have to be the one writing the pokedex in arceus, because how else do you explain only having one canonical experience with a Kleavor and then its pokedex entry is like "this little asshole frickin hates people and it will kill you"
I think it is more clearly Laventon writing the entries, and he wrote the Kleavor entry after watching the player being attacked by the noble one, and also after he heard one guy from the security corps tell an exaggerated story about meeting one (they didn’t meet one, they just had a bad dream and it felt so real they thought it was)
My headcannon? It's more of a head bomb.
Ok but being serious, Piers once caught someone's breedject regular Zigzagoon thinking it was a shiny because he doesn't know they exist. He's still trying to evolve it into Obstagoon.
My headcannon is that the pokedex entries are actually AI written based on data points it gathers upon capture.
The entries themselves are more for the trainers to go "ah, that one" when they read it. Being AI generated, it gets things wrong (like Magcargo's heat) sometimes
My headcanon is that types are classifications scientists classify pokemon under. So whenever a mutation happens in a Pokémon a new classification is made.
I have a few headcanons!
Red has this big, blue drawer in his room, and it holds many blue items, for some reason. No one knows about this.
Both of the Alola protagonists (I forgot their names) had a staring contest with eachother, and it lasted until the next day.
Barry likes honey. That's it, that's literally it.
A little head canon I have is that Cilan has met every companion but never realizes it. Like he met May and Max separately, met the Alola gang when Ash was on Ula'ula Island, and met Chole when Ash and Goh where away. And he never realized they were Ash's companions. I just think it fits him perfectly.
Also, I like to think Wally is Max's friend in Petalburg. They grow up to be rivals.
If you want some headcanons, here we go :
-Ash is actually a fictional character that appears on TV in the universe of the games and his anime is so popular that it pushes many young people into becoming a Pokemon trainer.
-Before she lost her husband and got poisoned by Nihilego, Lusamine sometimes used her hair as a type of cape to cover her children when she hugged them
-Arceus has a voice that you can't really describe as either male or female, and they don't mind being called either father or mother by the creation trio which are called "my children" by them
-Cyrus might have autism due to his high interest in machines and his difficulties at socializing when he was younger. He then gain a sociopathic personality as he grew older due to his parents neglect and their narcissistic personality
-Pokemon don't have the same thoughts with gender like humans do. They don't really care that much about what they evolve into despite their sex. That's why you can find some male Gardevoir or Sylveon or some female Machamp or Rhyperior for example, it's only weird for some humans
-The Lousy Three act like the Team Rocket trio : Munkidori is Meowth because he's small and smarter, Okidogi is Jessie because he's kinda the leader and gets angry easily and Fezandipidi is James because he's a twink and gives me flaming Moltres vibes. Oh and Ogerpon is Pikachu
7:47 I have the same headcanon also consisting of a group chat but instead of champions, it's team leaders + some main villains with no evil team (don't ask me how they met, I have no idea). Some leaders like Guzma for example likes to spam memes and some others end up starting a war in the group chat either because someone spammed memes in General or because they disagree with one of them having a different opinion on stupid things like "is it legal to put pineapple on a pizza"

That arceus one is probably what I would want for most gods of biblical proportions because i think it fuels the almighty thing.

I headcanon that N has autism.
My headcanon is that the SV protags (Florian and Juliana) are twins. Florian is smart but he’s timid and shy while Juliana is an airhead but she’s joyful and energetic. Florian does Victory Road because he crushes on Nemona but also learns to be confident. Juliana follows Arven because she wants to go on an Adventure but learns more about nature and Pokémon.
Also every time Larry passes by, all the students wave and say “HI LARRY!!” to get his attention
Here some head canons that I like:
1)All the Cryogonals have a multimillionaire business man mind, no especific reason I just like to imagine my favorite Pokemon in a suit, nothing more.
2) Chase the protagonist of Let’s Go Pikachu/Evee is just the biggest fan of Red and that is the why he dress so similar in his normal outfit
Well I guess I have some headcannons
1) Nemona has a tracker on the protagonist, I mean how else could she find you easily to battle?
2) Penny would watch slice of life animes
3) Barry has ran into so many trees that a Munchlax appeared
My headcanon is that whenever there is like a Pokemon League get-together party from different regions is that Raihan would never miss a time to flirt up a storm with Clair. I don't know I just find it really funny to visualize Raihan trying to rizz her up but Clair is just standing there with her arms crossed, very unamused.
Another headcanon is that Lance would also tease her about it every time he would visit Blackthorn City because he looks like the type of cousin who would make fun or tease you about something you did embarrassingly or something happened to you embarassingly.
Wow, that was quite a long one lol
One of my head cannons that much like the fans of the games the actual people in Sinnoh or at least the ones that have challenged her are terrified of her and her Garchomp because of how strong she is and the reason you see her across the region in the games is because no one is brave enough to tell her to stay at the league
I’d like to add to this, with the idea that in her champion room she actually has a speaker system which plays her theme when a challenger walks in, which she actually got from an old piece of sheet music for piano which was written by the protagonist of PLA when they were trying to fully process what happened with Volo’s final battle, so they they could convey how they felt during it, and Cynthia just thought it sounded like a neat “final obstacle theme” for anyone wanting to challenge the champion of Sinnoh.

As a Cynthia fan, here's an interesting headcanon of mine:
As she loves to learn & read about ancient times; I can imagine her listening to relaxing music about nature - since it puts her mind at ease.
I can also imagine her Garchomp falling asleep most of the time while she's listening to said music - due to how soothing it can be. While Lucario & Roserade find it hard to wake him up afterwards😅
I head-canon that after Red gets beaten by Gold, he blacks out and runs to the nearest Pokemon Center.
Once there, everyone is shocked to see him again. Maybe he even goes and visits his mom.
My headcanon is that the reason Manaphy can breed and the eggs hatch into Phione is that they used to be an evolutionary line but they lost the means to evolve, kind of like Ursaring and Ursaluna. However this means that Manaphy will die out 😢
My Headcannon is that in scarlet and violet the gym leaders used to fight based on your badge count but Nemona swept all of their teams and she went in reverse order, so when they went easy so they just stopped once Nemona destroyed their teams.
my own personal headcanon is that starly and squawkabilly have a sort of rivalry going on, similar to the whole "delinquent kids vs preppy kids" trope you see in most media! starly are known to only leave their flocks to become solitary after evolving into staraptor, so i believe they would flock together often. and knowing squawkabilly's whole deal... i think it could make sense.
Here's a pair of headcanons I have for the anime. Tell me what you think.

Serena has quite an interest in movies, particularly the behind the scenes stuff, as shown in the Pikachu Movie episode.
She actually watched a lot of different movies growing up, which could explain how she learned all her various talents, and why she's so much smarter than she lets on.
2.
Miette, Serena's rival, does not actually have any feelings for Ash himself. She's just trying to give Serena a little push, to help her make a move on him. So in a way, she's just trying to help.
i got some head canons:
1. Ryu is in Pokemon ruby,sapphire and emerald as a trainer you fight in the fighting type gym, but he lost his hadouken when he entered the Pokemon world
2. trading through different versions of Pokemon like scarlet and violet, they put a poke ball through a interdenominational machine to get the Pokemon there successfully
3. when Cyrus was hiring for commanders for team galactic, he had 9 in mind but only chose 4, mars,Jupiter,Saturn and Charon cause he saw the most potential in them out of the others
I love how some headcanons are intricate, some of them are simple and there is the one where it's just dawn has batman's utility belt

Pokemon that survived the Ultimate weapons first firing and were near by gained longer lifespans.
The protags go to therapy after the events of the main story.
Guzma fell in love Volcarona when he met Alder and his. Also Guzma and Alder would be super happy if they learned about Slither Wing and Iron Moth,
My headcanon is that a lot Hisui's residents are originally from Ransei (Conquest's region) but fled due to the neverending war there. But they like to keep in touch of what's happening in Ransei by doing trade with some of the kingdoms (hence Motonari knowing about Pokeballs)
My Head canon is that in Ruby/Saphire/Emerald If Wally Found a ralts shiny in the catch tutorial he box The shiny Ralts because he think that the player would have dream to catch it so he box the shiny ralts to use a normal one because he think that if he use the shiny ralts against Us he think that we will fill unlycky
Building on the unreliable narrator theory I think the real Ash was at the start very much like what we see at the beginning but as he grew older he became more clever with his childish persona being a ruse to trick his enemies into underestimating him and he was so good at it that the people around him truly thought that is what his personality was
The only time I remember ash using one of his tauros was for a battle frontier fight. Those battles are honestly so underrated, they’re unlike anything else in the entire series and I love them for it :3
Charizard vs articuno was so hype as a kid!
He also used Tauros in the Orange League and the Johto League.
I don't know if it's confirmed anywhere, but my headcanon is that Kyurem's ice parts are the result of it trying to replace what it lost after separating from the original dragon.
Part of why I think that's the case is because Black and White Kyurem each have ice pieces in opposite places, like White Kyurem's right arm and Black Kyurem's left arm for example.
One of my personal head cannons is that anime Lana acts like a sweet innocent girl, participating in shopping and stuff to hide the fact that she has a 302 kill streak.
The only people she actually murders are people Who just disrespect her friends. Also her favorite killing method is feeding people to the local water type Pokémon.
My head cannon is that the reason why most fish Pokémon can “float” while they’re on land is because they can manipulate the water molecules in the air to help them stay upright and breathe
Ash actually has used Tauros a couple times throughout the series. The biggest example is easily his battle with Gary in the Silver Conference, but he also used it in the Battle Frontier as well as a few battles in the Orange Islands. Funnily enough, though, at least according the Bulbapedia, Ash never used Tauros until the Orange Islands.
Anyway, my headcanon is that Erika is 100% a lesbian. I think this because I read a Tumblr post calling her a tired lesbian and it just fit so much I haven't been able to see it any other way. Also, she gives you the _Rainbow_ Badge. Coincidence? I think not.
I think we read the same thing on different sites. I saw that in a community post.
One Headcanon I have is that all the Wild Pokémon themes are just the Protagonists listening to music on their Walkman, Portable Radio, MP3 player, Rotomphone etc. Similar to the Persona 3 Protagonist having an MP3 player on and Yosuke from Persona 4 tapping to the beat of the music playing in his Headphones in battle.
My headcannon is that the “Loyal Three” was originally just Fezandipiti and Okidogi, and Munkidori was added later because they recognized his ability when Munkidori stole from them. Munkidori always to me felt smaller, and didn’t fit in as much as the others, but I kind of love him for it.
My personal headcannon is that the anime penny was planning to binge near the end of SV was One Piece
Also the lady in mesagoza that gives you phone cases based on past games says they’re based on your “past lives” and since you can get a swsh case, kinda makes me think Victor/Gloria’s dead by the time sv takes place
EDIT: The exact words she says are “I can study your Rotom phone to peer into past lives you’ve lived”
That makes a horrible amount of sense given that half a year ago I wrote lore for my Violet trainer, and her brother (who was basically Victor) died during the Darkest day.
10:03 as someone who tends to gravitate towards a certain type, I don't find specialists weird at all. Rather than building my team strategically, I just pick the Pokemon I like the most and always end up with a primarily fairy type team before I even realize. My friend mocks me about it all the time as his IV trained Zacian destroys my whole team, but I'm just in it for the fun, not for the battles.
My headcannon about mega evolution is that you need q Genuine Bond to prevent the pain and aggression. When evolution became more famous in kalos, more trainers tried it. However when doing so the pokemon lose control of themselves.
I have 3 Pokémon headcanons.
1: Wild Feebas evolve into Milotic when they make contact with the shed scale of an adult Milotic they built a strong connection with.
2: Only the Bravest Dusclops are able to use the Reaper cloth evolve into Dusknoir because its status a guide for souls to the afterlife is held in high regard and the reason it's trade evolution is due how Dusclops need to interact with more than just one person in battle so they can prove themselves worthy of being a guide in the first place.
3: When she isn't interviewing challengers at the Pokémon league, Rika spends all her time trolling Ionos stream chat with the computer she sits beside. Every time the mods ban her, she just creates a new account.
My headcanon as to why Torterra can learn shell smash all of a sudden:
Shell smash is meant to be like when a skilled fighter removes training weights, and can actually fight at their full power. While this move makes no sense for anyone who knows basic turtle anatomy, Torterra is different, because it's not the weight of their heavy shell, but the weight of keeping the pokemon living on their back safe.
Shell smash is really just Torterra kindly asking them to leave for the battle.
Quick correction; Ash has indeed used Tauros, multiple times. Most notable are his Orange League final battle against Drake and against Annabel on his battle frontier run. Pretty impressive both times. Whether or not it was just one Tauros or he used different ones each time, i don't remember though lol
Also for the Bea and Alister one, iirc they both do still coexist in each version, just the one you don't fight is a minor league gym leader. Same for Gordie and Mama Mel.
I have a few headcannons, here some:
- the reason that looking under mimikyu cloth kills you is because mimikyu has secret transformation and mind reading powers, but it can't control it so it always turn into exeacly what that person is the most sacred of which cause a heart attack
-reason why mimikyu chosen Pikachu is because it saw how much love it gets, and it simply wanted to feel loved because their are very lonley
-idk if it is a headcannons or a theory but the reason why mega evolutions look the way thy look because this are actually their next Evolution stages that at some pointy stop being avaiable to them

For me I've always believed that the Eevee at the research lab from the anime had contact an everstone either after it hatched or had it's egg placed near or on top of one, over time the power of the stone got taken into it preventing it from evolving
Benga like almost everything he eats, especially meat. He also has a shiny Gabite.
Lilie gets called "Lilth" by Lusamine sometimes, much to her shagrin.
Edit: Also Gloria puts on the facade of being a scottish girl because she's afraid that everyone else not from galar will make fun of her, but eventually she gets over it, as shown in masters.
A head canon of mine that’s inspired by Adventures and Masters is that all the protags are friends and hang out with each other sometimes
I have a headcannon that Giovanni actually has a soft spot for Jessie, James and Meowth. He knows they are incompetent, but they are loyal to a fault and worship the ground he walks on. It's like your pet dog who isn't as well trained as you would like.
I imagine the climate of the Pokemon World was destroyed artificially to allow for optimal battles with weather, like rain and harsh sunlight, and whenever it’s raining out, it’s because a Pelliper is passing through or something used rain dance.
I have a headcanon that either
A:The pokéballs have a system of labelling themselves depending on what pokemon was caught in it
Or
B:The trainer labels the Pokéballs themselves with like a sharpie and has to cross out and write new names whenever a pokémon evolves
Here's my headcanon: Mega Evolution is only painful if you find a way to achieve it without a proper bond like those bad guys in one of the X and Y movies. But if you have a proper bond, the process is not painful at all.
I can imagine Nanu and Larry sitting at a bar, but not talking. Just drinking some whiskey, the faint noise of the smooth jazz playing in the background. When it's time to go home, Larry stands up, pays his tab and goes, "See you next Friday." and Nanu just goes "Yup."
My head cannon is that the entire pokemon planet is just one government, the National Dex includes all regions in it and going from Johto to Kanto did not require any passports
My headcanon is since champions are basically celebrities, Red probably went to the mountain to get away from the paparazzi and fangirls

Oh I have so many headcannons, most of them about the Scarlet and Violet crew because I love those dorks.
Penny stays up late at night watching UA-cam, has a really niche taste in music (vocaloid and the like), and always has snacks in her hoodie pockets.
Arven always goes crazy when he sees a dog Pokémon (baby-talk, very excitedly petting them, etc), is always asleep before 9:00pm, and gives the actual best hugs
Nemona will happily go on 3-hour rants about battle strategies, listens to Little Miss Perfect, and (piggybacking on the other theories) has juvenile arthritis (like me).

-nemona is sleep deprived because she breaks into the player's house every day at 3am to battle
-in the battle between Red and Gold/ Ethan there are two possible outcomes... the one where Red wins is canon, while the one where Gold wins is just plot armor to save the player from an unwinnable battle
-version exclusive gyms share the same building and have a button that changes the theme
i have a head canon that the war Lieutenant Surge mentions is what caused Kanto and Johto to become separate regions which is why they share a league because them being separate is a relatively new thing

- Elesa definitely puts on fashion shows for her own Pokémon when bored. It’s kind of like putting on fashion shows for stuffed animals, but… well.. for Pokémon.
- All of the gym leaders from each region (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh), have groupchats. One for each region’s gym leaders (even the trial captains of Alola).

I headcannon people in Unova have started to suspect that N is a Zoroark so some people have tried to confirm/deny it by throwing pokeballs at him and seeing if it works.
I have a couple head cannons(also my first laguage isn't english, so don't be an asshole)
-the poke ball was created to be a fool proof way to get away from a pokemon like if it catches, great, now you have more defense oppinions, if it doesnt still great, at least you got time to run
-the future paradox pokemon are used for entertainment and other uses, like iron thorns and iron jugulus were made for tv, iron bundle was made for uber eats, like it shoot cold water and cold air to freeze the water, and then just skate threw the sky on a bunch of ice that also melt after it skated over it, and then just press the button on its throat to pop the head off and take the food from the insde, iron valiant, iron leaves, iron crown and future paradox terrakinon are for defense, and iron treads were made for a place to let a baby or something sleep peacefully(dont ask, I thgouth of it one day and I cant forget abaut it)
-the main character(in scarlet/violet) and Nemona end up dating a little wile after the events in area 0, and when ever they have some time alone they do pokemon battles for hours straight(also Nemona got pissed when she heard that the main character battled someone else in kitakami)
I like to head-canon that the reason most trainer have bad move poll is because theres no actual move list for Pokemons, and also thats why there's new move every regions
