Cyrus probably would have it be on-sight considering how Team Galactic treats Barry, can't imagine she'd feel too good about her friends getting picked on. I would genuinely get a kick out of N and Nemona getting to keep running into each other, I can probably imagine she'd ask if he had fun after their first battle, and he'd likely be confused to some degree. Lysander(Lysandr?) would probably be in the same boat as Cyrus. professer oak has been keeping ash from learning about paldea because he knows for a fact he would catch 90 more Tauros and he doesn't have the space to keep them all. I also think Ash can tell all Tauros apart like Brock can with nurse joy.

My headcanon is that Giovanni didn't abandon Silver because he didn't care for the kid. He did it because he didn't want to risk his son getting caught in the crossfire of the literal SWAT team raiding the gym (as seen in Generations) or Interpol chasing him down. Making Silver think he was doing it purely for selfish reasons was to ensure he didn't follow.
My headcanon is that Ash isn’t actually as dense as he seems. He actually gets what romance and having romantic feelings and understands but probably hides it because he enjoys messing with his friends. Also seeing Brock strike out with literally any girl has probably taught not to be so forward with his feelings.
My head cannon is that Volo is at least a little sleep deprived, he seems like the type of person that would just look for ruins or just try to get as much info on Hisui's legends long into the night and not realize how long he's been out for and just say "Wait, crap, when did it become night?"

Have a headcanon of my personal favorite Pokemon, Delphox. They weren't always fire type, but they evolved to gain the fire typing because they were burnt at the stake for witchcraft. They gained the fire typing to resist the flames and take control of them
So if we get a legends game with delphox, they start as a psychic type and maybe get the dark type? With dex entries suggesting a connection with immolation? Honestly really cool.
One of my headcanons is that due to being so close to the ultimate wepon and getting infected with the radiation, the Kalos gang (Serena, Calem ect) either gain longer life spans or shorter life spans depending on which version you play
A head canon I think is really fun is that Red enjoys karaoke and invited Blue and Leaf to join him and that is the only time he consistently speaks. And as such Blue and Leaf try and get Red to speak more outside of karaoke nights.
Couple small headcanons of mine related to some of the Champions’ Pokémon: -Cynthia’s shellos evolved after getting its head stuck in a jar of rare candies. No particular reason for this one I just think it’s a funny visual. -Lance has 3 dragonites because while looking for a dratini he ran into 3 of them who happened to be siblings, and, not wanting to separate one from it’s family he just decided to keep all 3. -Steven’s Armaldo and Cradily knew eachother before the extinction event and became inseparable after being revived.
To add to the whole “shellos evolved with it’s head stuck in a rare candy jar” thing, I can imagine that she(the now gastrodon) only got her head stuck post evolution where her horns made her unable to get her head back out, leading to her and Cynthia panicking as they both tried to free her.
Akari is the adopted child into the creation trio, but also the universal favorite of all 4 of the family. It'd also be cool to see Akari commanding Unown
Meanwhile, Rei while also adopted was also very neglected by the creation quartet due to being a male protagonist except for Giratina who took him in as its own into the Distortion World due to them relating on both being neglected by Arceus. (Even though Akari is still Giratina's fav) I can see if Akari can command the Unown perhaps Rei's deeper connection with Giratina allow him to open portals to the Distortion World or maybe can do a Volo and just summons Giratina from the Distortion World if needed.
I have 2 headcanons: 1. I like to think that in the Pokemon World, nobility are just named after letters (ex. AZ or N) because that's how culture surrounding nobles works for them 2. I like to think that Raihan and Iono have a friendly rivalry of sorts since they are both internet celebrities. I imagine they do the "Catch random Pokemon, then battle" thing, but with real Pokemon, and they stream the entire thing on PokeTwitch.
I have a random little headcanon or four: 1) Part of the reason Rose sponsored Leon was because Leon reminded him of, not only himself, but of Peony. And Rose, wanting that connection again, ends up attempting to replace Peony with Leon. Intentional or not. I’m thinking of turning this into a post series, but I think it’s a fun/interesting thought. 2) Not starting off as a headcanon, I can see Lance wanting to take Silver under his wing, not only for his potential, but because he wants to give Silver a stable home. Knowing that Silver is Giovanni’s son and was essentially abandoned by him, Lance wants to help Silver by giving him stability and someone to confide in. I also feel that Lance would feel connected to Silver because Lance and Giovanni had gifts due to them being born in Viridian Forest. And Silver most likely have inherited those gifts, so Lance feels less alone in the world. 3) Raihan raised Goomy because he loves them and will gift his gym trainers with one before they leave. He also always carries one with him and his Goodra is a total helicopter parent. 4) Leon and Cynthia are actually good friends and Leon will visit her when he visits Sinnoh. Cynthia also knows all of the best ice cream parlors and Leon definitely got lost in the Distortion World at least once.
My head cannon as to why certain Pokémon can’t be transferred to certain regions is because they either can’t get in because of customs/border control or because they are too attached to the region they are currently in. I like the border control one because I like the image of them rejecting Arceus from entering Kanto
I remember seeing somewhere that one of the devs said that it's about the climate of the region or something. Even if they didn't say that, I'd still believe it.
I've always find it weird people try to write the 'Pokémon being illegal in certain regions' weird. I mean, I read it as being just that region's Pokédex, hence why modern games have catchable Pokémon that can't be registered in the dex (Hisuian Pokémon in Paldea, the qr scan Pokémon in Alola, and even the Alolan Pokémon not register able to Galar).
My headcanon is that all the champions keep in touch with each other and talk about their hobbies. I could really see Steven and Cynthia chatting together because they both have interests in ancient mythologies and remnants of the past like rocks or ruins, or Lance and Leon because they would talk about capes, their adventures as champions and how Charizard isn't a Dragon type lol. Would help the Pokémon world feel more interconnected

I have a few headcanons! - The Scarlet/Violet protags (Florian/Juliana) see each other in their game counterpart uniforms when they look in the mirror. At one point, they realize they can talk to each other. - The PLA protagonist is the professor’s assistant in DPPT. (Bonus: I see Dawn/Akari as the PLA protag/Professor’s assistant) - The Kalos Queen in the anime acts as a sort of political figure beyond performances and press - After Ash’s run in the anime, he and his mom live in Pallet Town half the year and with Professor Kukui the other half - The BW protag counterpart you meet in the Battle Subway used to live in Nuvema, so which character is the protagonist depends on whether their parents decided to move or not. - The Battle Subway counterpart is also the older sibling of the BW2 protagonist, and occasionally visits them in Aspertia. - Mallow takes a cross-continental journey to explore the variety of regional dishes and it inspires her to learn about the other regions’ cultures. - The Pokespe dexholders (especially the younger ones, ESPECIALLY Sun and Shield) take bets as to which region will have a world-ending catastrophe which needs to be prevented by new Dexholders next. White participated once as a joke and got both the disaster and the region correct. - Megastones and Keystones act as a sort of regulator or conductor for bond energy, making Mega Evolutions generally less painful. - To add to my last one, the reason Ash and Greninja had such a difficult time regulating their Ash-Greninja form was because they didn’t have Mega or key stones. It’s like shooting a hundred bolts of lightning with no direction. - On the same vein of thought, Mega Evolution is only painful if there’s a disconnect in emotions between trainer and Pokémon. Part of the reason it was deemed unsafe/harmful in the gameverse is because the XY games let the protag Mega Evolve their Pokémon regardless of friendship or affection levels. - (Based off Swamp 151’s headcanon in the video) Starters are specially bred, and there’s often not enough for each new trainer, so many will choose to go without. Priority goes to people living nearby a regional professor’s lab. I wrote a lot 😅
I completely agree with your mega evolution points. Given the info we have, I’ve always viewed the bond and side effects as two sides of the same coin. It’s perfectly demonstrated in the XY anime too with Korrina’s Lucario. It does make me wonder though, did the anime inspire the side effect portion of the lore or was that always intended but they didn’t know how to express/implement it in the games at the time for some reason? Also, I can see Blake trying to stop the betting and by the time Henry and Casey join he places a stack of bills in front of Sun with a note stating whatever will end up happening when SV starts.
I think it would definitely be a fun idea for the two protags in S&V to talk to each other through a mirror, knowing that they both live in different worlds. I also think it would be cool if Hikari/Dawn were to be the new assistant in PLA to prof. Laventon. I've had the same idea in that she does since she doesn't find a way home because a certain Space Llama was a jerk and didn't let her go home. I also agree with the mega evolution statement. Q
Your Legends Arceus headcanon is actually as far from actual canon as it can be, funnily enough. In Masters, it's confirmed that the canon protagonists are Dawn and Rei, and none of the four are related to each other, as far as they know.
Riddle me this: Mallow and Arven meet in Alola, Arven there for foreign ingredients, and Mallow is taking over at the restaurant for the day. They have a cook off and forever become cooking rivals. They have another cook off every two months.
I have a couple of headcanons that I do think are notable enough to mention: -Cynthia has loads of cousins, around 20, but only knows, like, 3-4 of them. In contrast to my Cynthia headcanon, I think it’s funny to think the least popular protagonists (such as Kris or Lucas, who I’m pretty sure are the least popular overall) have secretly plotted on ways to cause the downfall of the more popular protags.

I got a few Scarlet and Violet Headcannons 1: Depending on the version, Arven’s second parent Turo in Scarlet, and Sada in violet, will appear as a teacher in Blueberry academy. 2: Past Paradox Pokémon of Megas resemble mega evolutions due to the fact mega evolution activates some inate lost gene upon transformation. Ergo all past paradoxes of mega Pokémon loosely look like their Megas. 3: Nemona’s idol is Ash Ketchum. We even see her dye a streak of hair to resemble ash’ indigo cap logo and her using the electrical rodent of the region.

My head cannon is that Cyrus made it out of the distortion world and came to appreciate the value of all of the world’s contradictions and now helps propel science forward from behind the scenes which is why tech sky rocketed so fast in the series after his game
- Elesa, Nessa and Tulip have a friendly model rivalry, they have a group chat where Elesa just spam memes, they also commission Valerie for dress designs. - The reason Nemona has her arm-brace it's because she abused using terrastalizing and it caused damage in her tendons. - Barry listens to Ludacris (it just fits his energy honestly) - Bianca's glasses where originally Cheren's.
Pokemon works on a sort of synergy. Some people work better with pokemon, and others work better with specific types. That's why there are so many type specialists, because some people can train just one type better. It also explains why most people don't have full teams, they can't use pokemon as well, at least not as many. On the other side, that makes the champions and more specifically the Protagonists, prodigies, because they can train any and all pokemon and do it extremely quickly (exp share). Pokemon raising and battling isn't easy, but the protagonist is just better at it.
My headcanon for SV is that the two protagonists (Florian and Juliana) are twins with Florian being shy and timid while Juliana is energetic and joyful. Florian would do Victory Road because he has a crush on Nemona and Juliana would join Arven to go on exciting adventures.
I think a lot of the newer protagonists are twins, mainly because they no longer appear as rival characters. Hilda and Hilbert also apply to me due to their similar names.
Indo the same, but Juliana's crushing on Nemona because Nemona's so tough and cool, and she gushes about her to Florian every night, but always ends her lesbian gushing with something that implies she's not into women, but Florian eventually cracks with the obvious gayness of his wombmate and just, at one point, asks her what she'd immediately think if HE said all that about Nemona. Juliana got PISSED and started ranting about he couldn't crush on her because Nemona was HER rival. He then points out she assumed he was crushing on her. Their mother could've swore she heard a dozen Pokémon eggs hatching the night before.
In my rewrite for SV, they're twins but Juliana got sent into the past with AI Sada to some unspecified point in time, probably not at the same place as Sada, and now Florian is super depressed because he thinks all of his family is dead. We haven't had a depressed protag before, unless you count Red post his game or something in SPECIAL i don't know about. Seems funny. And then the time machine could activate again sending Turo and Florian into the future and bring Sada and Juliana back to the present, swapping the MCs until they get Florian back.
I feel like Bede would be the kind of friend to notice his friend's shoe is untied and without saying anything he just bends down and ties it in a double knot and he then unties and double knots the other one for good measure, but like only after his apprenticeship with Opal, before then he wouldn't give a shit.

1. Volkner and Cyrus are brothers. They have similar hairstyles and are interested in machinery. Cyrus is said to have been born in Sunnyshore. Cyrus is obviously the older brother. Volkner was the favorite child. Volkner and Cyrus don’t acknowledge each other because Volkner thinks that Cyrus ran away/died and Cyrus would rather not think about Volkner or any of his family. 2. The protagonist of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers was actually born in Viridian Forest. In the Pokémon Adventures Manga, people get powers if they’re born in Viridian Forest. The Explorers protagonist got the ability to see into the past and future.
I think Cogita insinuates the head canon about the Legendaries. She says that humans will die and the legend will move on. I’m inclined to believe that Cogita was saying exactly what that head canon is.
I have a headcanon that's a full-on story in the making, revolving around N's mother. 1) N's mother has the ability to speak to Pokemon as well. It's an inherited ability (there's a chance if N had children they could do it too) 2) she was manipulated by Ghetsis too. I once imagined an entire story where it was a whole SpottedleafxThistleclaw scenario (if you know, you know) and hecka toxic but she was too young to realize it until it was too late to back out. That leads directly into theory 3) N's mother tried to escape with N, only being able to hide him in the woods before Ghetsis caught her and got rid of her. Or, alternatively, Ghetsis quietly disposed of her after she'd had a son with her gift, then left N in the woods to ensure he was proficient at using this inherited gift before Ghetsis began training him to be king.
Okay, i can TOTALLY see this as The Pokemon version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Both Ghetsis and N’s behavior in-game remind me of Judge Claude Frollo and Quasimodo in a way, and i LOVE it.

Also, since you seem interested, a few tiny headcanons I didn't mention attached to the above: N's mother is from Paldea, and her name was Katarina, but Ghetsis pressured her to change it to Catherine bc it was more "Unovan" and it was another way to assert control over her.
Cynthia and ice cream- Now with Scarlet/ Violet making different foods help with different things, like defeating or finding certain types of pokemon, she must have known that, and needs to pick what will help her most in the near future. My original headcannon- Max must have brought home all kinds of pidgey, wurmple, rattata, etc., begging his parents to let him catch them. They kept putting their foot down, and had to make a rule that neither of their children would get a pokemon early. May was cool with it because she was afraid of it, and once she got over that fear, still didn't want to get into trouble for catching a pokemon for him.
three of my headcanons: 1. Ash is perpetually ten years old, because whenever his age is mentioned the timeline was shifted and compressed such that he's ten whenever him being ten years old gets mentioned. and Ash is retiring as the show's main character because Dialga is tired. 2. The time machine in Area Zero really works as a time machine, but the pokemon pulled through it evolve into paradox pokemon like a trade evolution depending on which direction the time machine was set to in that timeline. 3. Tandemaus and Maushold are actually the dust mites of Paldea, the two we see as Tandemaus are just the swarm pooling their strength into two battle ready individuals to get them to normal pokemon size (which is why Tandemaus must level up through battle to evolve, the swarm doesn't see the need to provide reinforcements without battle).
Also, the headcanon about Pokémon being picky and doing a test fight before being caught could explain why you can't catch Pokémon after they faint, despite the easier way out. They don't like that, explain it away as luck, and escape as soon as they can. This happened so much after PLA that it's now common sense to let a fainted Pokémon lie to be healed by other wild Pokémon and attempt to hurt a Pokémon enough to become low, but not faint.
My headcanon is that Rotom being a ghost type and being the Pokedex is why the Pokedex is more consistently dark nowadays. Golbat getting drunk off of too much blood and Primape getting so angry it dies wasn't talked about until the Rotom dex in gen 7.
I like to imagine Cyrus would probably let out his emotions once he’s home or something, so whether it be rage, or sadness he’d act out on it while alone and then his Rotom would help comfort him afterwards
While not a headcanon, more like something that would be nice to see more often in the games is NPC trainer classes like Lass or Beauty having nicknames on their Pokémon. Even Johto’s gym leader Jasmine nicknamed her Steelix, but only in Performing Contests. Seeing more trainers nicknaming their Pokémon would make the player feel less alone or bizarre in nicknaming their own.
My headcannon is that Nemona is depressed. Being a bit dramatic, but i believe there might be more to her bubbly, friendly, battle-crazed personality than we give it credit for. At a young age, she became the student council president, is the top student, and is a champion, this leads to kids kinda fearing getting too close to her, like how the team star grunts in front of the school were afraid when Nemona showed up. Nemona also talks to you and teachers behind closed off areas mostly for adults and rarely interacts with other trainers, inclusing strong ones like Arven and Penny. She's also the rich daughter who's father is on the board of the company that makes the rotom phone. Nemona is intimidating to those who know her, leading to her wanting to make friends with those who don't know her for her accomplishments or her status, rather as a friend on an equal level to her, as to why she decided to restart her journey for the player character.
My head canon is that Geeta knows she is a weak Champion, which is why she structured the Paldea League to make it so that no one can dethrone her as “Top Champion” and thus devaluing the accomplishment of becoming Champion. Most Champions are perfectly fine with stepping down when they lose, but not her. She spends all of her free time inspecting the gyms to constantly keep tabs on the gym leaders to ensure none of them are strong enough to challenge her so that she can cling to power, and she especially is hard on Larry (making the man work as an Elite 4 member and gym leader in addition to his office job) because Larry is on to her BS as a toxic boss. The gym leaders don’t like her because she treats the Pokémon league like a business, a business that doesn’t pay its employees very well when the Gym Leaders are more committed to their side gigs and hobbies than actually being gym leaders.
Plus, who the hell makes a literal toddler an Elite 4 member? Poppy is a nepo baby for sure, with one of her parents having a connection to Geeta in some way
Headcanon: Nemona is neurodivergent Not sure how common this thought process is, but her being completely hyperfixated on battling honestly makes me feel seen and like I'm not alone in obsessing over things I really like

I like to imagine that they're so close, many people mistake them for being related, and neither of them correct anyone. 2. Silver, Gladion, and N all occasionally talk to each other about their parental issues, this eventually turned into a club where anyone with parental issues could join. 3. Archie sometimes watches over Tate and Liza, and the twins call him Uncle Archie. that's all

Siebold is the Pokemon equivalent of Gordon Ramsey. This includes the dozens of restaurants, the mitilian (I currently have no way to spell check that) stars, and the TV shows. He's from lower Galar (equivalent to Scotland) and swears enough to make even Drake blush.
One head canon I have is that the protagonist of every game is stuck in a time loop that repeats every time they lose a battle. When losing and going to battle again the npc never remembers battling you in the first place. Another headcanon I have is that missing no was Arceus’ first attempt at creating a Pokémon and it failed. Mew, Dialga,Palkia,and Girratina were it’s first SUCCESSFUL attempts. Missingno still lurks in the world without anyone knowing about it.
My headcanon is Ash is hiding how smart he actually is and openly had terrible performance anxiety. His dad or his parents friends shared stories about their own journeys with Ash. So he feels like he has to compare to those people. In Alola and the WCS none of them were able to do either. So Ash finally didn't have that anxiety pressuring him and was finally able to put his skills to the test. Allowing him to become Alola's first Champion and World Champion since neither his parents or his parents friends ever had to do that. Goh is being watched by Mew. Mew finds Goh's declaration of being caught by Goh amusing. Suicune watched Goh as well and realized how lonely he was but also how kind. Which is why Suicune allowed itself to be captured. Ash and Goh after some time away return to the Cerise Laboratory and resume working as Research Fellows. Paradox Pokemon aren't actual Pokemon. They were what could have been if certain Evil Teams won. Thus the term Paradox. Professor Sada and Professor Turo are married. Both are alive just being kept in a sort of Stasis by an Evil Team who believe they are the source of the Paradox Pokemon when it's the result of the Machine. Legendaries can take on human disguises and walk around among humans. Mew and Celebi are the ones who do this more often. Arceus, is very rare as he does not enjoy leaving the Hall of Origins. Giratina is a fan of Piers' music and begs Arceus to revive him a Legendary after the end of his human lifespan. Ash's Lucario is the reincarnation of Sir Aaron's Lucario as some people speculate the 'Chosen One' is the reincarnation of Sir Aaron.
My newest head canons: -Pokerus is Covid. -Cynthia should have been in Pokemon Black because she seems like that type. -Jigglypuffs have the power to make any Jirachi wishes.
This may be an odd headcanon, but I like to think Gloria has a twin sister. Gloria is the one we get with an English accent in the game, Masters EX, and possible anime appearance. The twin (middle name Gloria) is our lovable drunk we get in fan comics who has a Scottish accent and lives with their dad.
i have a headcanon that the little purple bumps on master balls contain a tranquilizer that instantly puts any pokemon to sleep INSIDE the pokeball, immediately catching it.
I like that according to Masters, the reason why Elio and Selene would tend to stare off into space and smile is because Elio overthinks so much and Selene is so laid back to the point that they both take time on what's in front of them to sink in to respond.
I have an odd headcanon when it comes to the version exclusive gym leaders of Galar, more specifically Allistor and Bea. Though i did make this concept as more OC Parallels being opposite gender twins when i first made it. ~Unlike Melonie and Gordie there isn't a clear explaination of their existance in the other game. ~ It goes off the idea of each game being a different universe. ~ I headcanon they have a different goal in the other game: ~Allister in the sword universe never got in the position to become the gym leader he is in the Shield universe. Instead Allister has a goal to befriend or catch all ghost types and possibly travels to different regions to obtain that goal. ~Bea has taken more of an interest in training herself and her fighting type pokemon possibly to take on the gym challenge instead of being a gym leader herself or just to be an ultimate fighting type trainer. Training in isolate areas similar to the place she was training in her Twilight Wings episode.

(Don't bother with the username, UA-cam decided that now it's too big for some reason) Here are 3 of my own headcanons: - After the stuff that happened with Volo in Legends: Arceus, Giratina realized its mistakes and took off to become a better Pokémon. That's why, in Platinum, it was against Cyrus instead of with him. - When the Pokémon world first became habitable, Arceus created Mew as a sort of Adam and Eve. There were many of them, and then they eventually went on to evolve into different Pokémon (like, irl evolution, not Pokémon) since their DNA is so diverse. But a few of them still remain unevolved today, hence how we can still rarely find them. - In the wild, Pokémon can evolve as needed without being restricted by levels or friendship, explaining the underleveled Pokémon such as the level 25 Volcarona in B2W2 or wild friendship evolutions like Leavanny in rustling grass in some areas of Unova.
I like how spot on the one about Kalos being part of a larger continent is, because I (and a looot of other people) are like 90% sure that big wall at the north east edge of Paldea *is* Kaloa itself. Kalos. Is just a much higher elevation.
I have 2 head cannons that I think work really well 1. Whenever the main protagonist story ends (aka when you stop playing the games and the story continues) you releases all your captured legendarys back to the wild to continue protecting the region or pokemon. This explains why red doesn't have the mewtwo you caught as he released it and how you can find mewtwo in different places. 2. All trainers in the pokemon anime as well as the games that use a legendary pokemon (not including legendarys that have multiples of each other such as the regi trio as regigigas most likely created multiple for different regions) are all dittos that have seen the legendarys roaming and have forgotten how to transform back explaining why legendarys used by trainers in the anime arnt as powerful as the real ones
This is a bit embarassing, but ever since I was a kid, I’ve had this head cannon that when Pokémon go inside their pokéballs, the inside of the ball transforms into a home that the Pokémon would consider comfortable. It’s cuz I’d feel bad if it was just a cold metal sphere. Also, because of Pokémon ranch, I have a head cannon that when Pokémon are put into the PC boxes, they get transported to a big lush open farm that they can play on (also because I’d feel bad if they were just completely digitalized and stuck doing nothing, while still being conscious). This head cannon of mine was also supported by the little field Pokémon from your boxes play in in Legends Arceus
I have a headcanon that wild Pokémon imitate humans, or Pokémon owned by trainers. I can just imagine wild Pokémon all getting together in the middle of a forest, bringing berries of all types, like a festival of some sorts. Just imagine a Gengar talking to his friend Garchomp well roasting a citrus berry over a fire a Delphox made, Or a Haxorus sharpening a log to look like a beer mug, Or perhaps a Gardevoir talking to best bud Hatterene about how the kids are doing. The reason why they do this? To make them look smarter. I mean, humans have pushed their society forward in such a big way, they’re able to capture God. Why wouldn’t Pokémon want to be like them?
this started from art i saw a while ago and it's stuck with me ever since: Wes and Volkner are brothers (or are at the very least closely related). making weird mechanical projects runs in the family, whether it's rewiring an entire city or building a hover motorcycle. they would drive each other nuts if they tried to make something as a team at this point though. (also aaaa i didn't expect to be in the video!! i still love the racing idea. additional dumb masters HC, people have mixed up roark and silver before, usually if roark's not wearing his glasses in the mornings. the moment one of them talks it's clear who it really is.)
I have a headcanon that the reason we never find dropped money from lost wild encounters is that it's all digital, and it tries to automatically cash out to the winner, but no winner is found, so the signal bounces around until it scrambles, which is why trainers are incentivised to collect materials to sell. It helps them with saving up extra income in case of an emergency.
I like the idea that everyone knows that dynamax pokemon are terriffyingly dangerous, and when one is sent out during a battle, both trainers have to quickly run off the field prior to its attack.
I'd like to think that Gloria and Leon are exceptions to this. They say it's because they trust their Pokémon; and while this is partially true, they also just have no regard for their own safety and get too absorbed in the battle. Many security guards have tried (and failed) to drag them off the field beforehand.
My headcanon is that ash in masters would try to befriend all the game versions of his companions, but fail miserably, and Scottie/Bettie would try to tell him that they are different people, but ash wouldn’t listen, him only being able to befriend Misty and Brock and maybe Iris.
My headcanon is that you are reincarnated every game because in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet the lady who gives you a phone case if you bought the previous games says 'In your past lives you've lived' so even though you don't remember what you did you always have the skills that you had in your last life which means that each time you're reincarnated you get better and better. Also explains why you need to keep being taught how to catch a pokemon every game.
One head cannon i have is that whenever you play as a character in any game, if you use the same name for a different character, it is just the same character, just with a different design

My headcannon is that in most of the games, you record your first encounter with every new Pokemon, so when you go to the Pokedex and see the pokémon's sprite moving, that's not just an animation, that's the movement the Pokemon did when you discovered it.

My headcanon is that Pokémon in the mainline games could build their own civilisation if they wanted to. Just like they did in the Mystery Dungeon universe. But don't because it's just more convenient to become part of the civilisation humans arleady built
My head canon is that the real reason you can’t find Zorark in gen 5 is that there hiding as people(evil gen 5 team ). And N’s Zorark is his sibling. Which is why he can talk to Pokémon because he is half Zorark.
In pokemon Gold/Silver/HG/SS, we get to see how Silver grow as a trainer and as a person even seeing own a Crobat at one point. In special event Celebi in that game, we get to see what Giovanni was doing during the time he was being contacted by Team Rocket to get him to join again. Even though we, the protagonist ultimately stopped Giovanni into reconsidering to join Team Rocket, I always feel that it was Silver who interacted with his father and finally stopped Giovanni into ever joining back to Team Rocket. So in a sense, Silver was also there when Celebi took the protagonist to the past.
On the topic of the anime’s insane events, I have a headcanon that the anime is a sort of his friends retelling their journeys with him. That’s why Ash has “retcons” because every season is told by a different friends or group of friends. Brock and Misty saw him mature from a newbie trainer trying too hard to be cool, shown by his hat turns and general overconfidence. May and Dawn saw him as a good friend with more experience than them, leading to their perception of Ash sort of mentoring them in battling. Iris saw him as “a kid” and overexaggerates his childlike personality by remembering him as dumber and less capable than he actually is. Serena sees him as a cool, experienced trainer who can do anything, exaggerating his power and skill as a trainer. The Alolan crew remember his talent and skill at battling and food, which is why he becomes more childlike but maintains his battling skills. Gosh remembers Ash in a “first friend” perspective while also being astonished at Ash’s battling capabilities.
I have a head cannon that in Masters, Gloria either couldn't stop swearing, or she kept speaking in Scots so no one understood her so they had to dub over her voice.
I like to think that since your bond is usually strengthened during mega evolution, that the Pokémon AND you shate the pain, making it more bearable and hence why people dont just use megas all the time BTW love the vids man!

She is prepared for every possible thing, and her bag is always stuffed full to the brim because of it.
My head canon is that the loyal three are all mind controlled by pecharunt, and that the hypno that all the creepypastas are based on had a trainer, but killed them out of spite from being caught.
My headcanon is that the gen 9 protagonist likes to flex to nemona arven and penny about how they beat all of them despite being at least a year younger
I have 1 mainly: The reason all the legendaries are spread across multiple regions is because long ago the most ancient ones (those that can create stuff) got into a literal civil war. It stemmed between Groudon and Kyogre getting into a fight and Groudon just losing it. The battle decimated the whole world and the other legendaries began trying to defend their creations resulting in more conflict. In the aftermath, the world would be left in ruin with the legendaries still fighting. Arceus and the creation trio, who would've stayed far away from the war, decide that they need to just start over. In order to do this, Arceus created regigagas. Not one regigigas, but many. The regigigas would basically act as assassins, creating the other regis to aid the in hunting down the other legends. Groudon and kyogre were sealed away as a result of the chaos. Eventually, Giratina would decide to fight back against the regis and though it would succeed in destroying them, Arceus would send Giratina to distortion world as punishment. After all this, Mew would set on a mission to revive the world, resulting in the other legendaries. Mew made many attempts to keep them separated, and soon the legendaries Mew created as well as Mew themself would heal the world.
Alright, its comment time! I got a few headcanons of my own I'd love to share! 1.) Gladion is a HUGE fan of Piers. 2.) All the towns and cities are actually bigger than they appear to be in game like the anime all just for the game's sake of not being too large. 3.) The canon protagonist in Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald is Brendan while in Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire, its May. This is all because of the mother's hair color. Its lighter in ORAS than RSE like May's hair.
These two headcannons are based on relationships between pokemon species that are mentioned in dex entries - I like to imagine Hippowdons with Mulitple Dwebbles stop near berry trees and have a family meal (Hippowdon's Sw/Sh entry) - I imagine Snovers enjoy giving it's berries to Galarian Darumakas because it likes to make pokemon happy, and it feels bad for them once the Abomasnows scare them away (Not sure which entry this is but it's most likely Snover's/G. Darumaka's Sw/Sh entry)

Since I’ve begun running back the older titles with more challenging rulesets, I’ve come up with a theory, those who play with Nuzlocke rules are using their Pokémon as a means to an end, like chess pieces in a game. They’re not concerned with completing the dex, they’re not concerned with the side characters, or even their bonds with other Pokémon unless there’s a benefit to increasing friendship. Pokémon that faint in battle get cast aside for failing their trainer. Everyone sees these protagonists as heroes, but in reality, nuzlocke protags are absolute sociopaths who will do anything for the sake of a challenge/thrill, anything for a high stakes game.
My head cannon is that in legends arceus, after the game takes place, you live in that time and go on to have a family which eventually you are born and its all a loop
This seems like a weird head cannon to me however, I've always believed that the reason legendary pokemon are considered legendary is bcs they're the last of their species and are unable to reproduce due to them being unable to breed with other pokemon or even dittos
My headcannon is that the protagonist was sent to multiple timelines and regions by Arceus, like Arceus did in legends Arceus, and all legends and mythical test your worthiness through battle to see your true character and decide if you are worthy of their power
My headcanon is that back when Mustard was a Gym Leader, he was the leader of Stow-On-Side, and not far from retirement, he took Bea/Allister under his wing and helped them become strong, capable trainers. Even if this doesn't work for Al, it's definitely possible for Bea. Now of course Bea doesn't directly mention Mustard in the Isle of Armour, but she could just not know he's the dojo master himself. Or SwSh creators didn't want to make Bea stand out as a character for some stupid reason. I even made a fanfic relating to this headcanon of Bea and Mustard having some sort of relationship, buuut that's not important.
My personal headcanon is that the only reason that the pokedex entries for megas say they go through tremendous pain when mega evolved, is because the scientists who studied the mega forms didn't properly bond with the pokemon first, only mega evolving them to study, and having a strong bond with the pokemon will pull off a "successful" mega evolution
I have a headcannon where ironically even tho Kalos was the region that introduced Mega-Evolution none of their regional pokemon are able to mega evolve themselves (not even their legendries that produce the phenomenon) the reason for this was because the ultimate weapon was used on foreign enemies and their pokemon that Kalos was at war with so it makes sense that their native pokemon weren't exposed and effected by the radiation.
I have a headcanon that Hisuian Zoroarks are much sweeter around those they trust. They definitely have an unhinged and malicious side, but that's just one side of the coin. The other side only comes out around those that they trust, and only around them.

My headcanon is that Giovanni didn't abandon Silver because he didn't care for the kid. He did it because he didn't want to risk his son getting caught in the crossfire of the literal SWAT team raiding the gym (as seen in Generations) or Interpol chasing him down. Making Silver think he was doing it purely for selfish reasons was to ensure he didn't follow.

My headcanon is that Ash isn’t actually as dense as he seems. He actually gets what romance and having romantic feelings and understands but probably hides it because he enjoys messing with his friends.
Also seeing Brock strike out with literally any girl has probably taught not to be so forward with his feelings.

One of my headcanons is that due to being so close to the ultimate wepon and getting infected with the radiation, the Kalos gang (Serena, Calem ect) either gain longer life spans or shorter life spans depending on which version you play

A head canon I think is really fun is that Red enjoys karaoke and invited Blue and Leaf to join him and that is the only time he consistently speaks. And as such Blue and Leaf try and get Red to speak more outside of karaoke nights.
I know Red finds words unnecessary thanks to his bond story in Masters so I wanted to think of a time you can consistently hear his voice

Couple small headcanons of mine related to some of the Champions’ Pokémon:
-Cynthia’s shellos evolved after getting its head stuck in a jar of rare candies. No particular reason for this one I just think it’s a funny visual.
-Lance has 3 dragonites because while looking for a dratini he ran into 3 of them who happened to be siblings, and, not wanting to separate one from it’s family he just decided to keep all 3.
-Steven’s Armaldo and Cradily knew eachother before the extinction event and became inseparable after being revived.

To add to the whole “shellos evolved with it’s head stuck in a rare candy jar” thing, I can imagine that she(the now gastrodon) only got her head stuck post evolution where her horns made her unable to get her head back out, leading to her and Cynthia panicking as they both tried to free her.
Akari is the adopted child into the creation trio, but also the universal favorite of all 4 of the family.
It'd also be cool to see Akari commanding Unown
Meanwhile, Rei while also adopted was also very neglected by the creation quartet due to being a male protagonist except for Giratina who took him in as its own into the Distortion World due to them relating on both being neglected by Arceus. (Even though Akari is still Giratina's fav)
I can see if Akari can command the Unown perhaps Rei's deeper connection with Giratina allow him to open portals to the Distortion World or maybe can do a Volo and just summons Giratina from the Distortion World if needed.

Ok wait- i know its just a headcanon but like I'm legit curious in what made you think this? I am very confused
I have 2 headcanons:
1. I like to think that in the Pokemon World, nobility are just named after letters (ex. AZ or N) because that's how culture surrounding nobles works for them
2. I like to think that Raihan and Iono have a friendly rivalry of sorts since they are both internet celebrities. I imagine they do the "Catch random Pokemon, then battle" thing, but with real Pokemon, and they stream the entire thing on PokeTwitch.
Now here’s what would enhance that if their fan bases ship them together

I have a random little headcanon or four:
1) Part of the reason Rose sponsored Leon was because Leon reminded him of, not only himself, but of Peony. And Rose, wanting that connection again, ends up attempting to replace Peony with Leon. Intentional or not. I’m thinking of turning this into a post series, but I think it’s a fun/interesting thought.
2) Not starting off as a headcanon, I can see Lance wanting to take Silver under his wing, not only for his potential, but because he wants to give Silver a stable home. Knowing that Silver is Giovanni’s son and was essentially abandoned by him, Lance wants to help Silver by giving him stability and someone to confide in. I also feel that Lance would feel connected to Silver because Lance and Giovanni had gifts due to them being born in Viridian Forest. And Silver most likely have inherited those gifts, so Lance feels less alone in the world.
3) Raihan raised Goomy because he loves them and will gift his gym trainers with one before they leave. He also always carries one with him and his Goodra is a total helicopter parent.
4) Leon and Cynthia are actually good friends and Leon will visit her when he visits Sinnoh. Cynthia also knows all of the best ice cream parlors and Leon definitely got lost in the Distortion World at least once.

My head cannon as to why certain Pokémon can’t be transferred to certain regions is because they either can’t get in because of customs/border control or because they are too attached to the region they are currently in. I like the border control one because I like the image of them rejecting Arceus from entering Kanto

I've always find it weird people try to write the 'Pokémon being illegal in certain regions' weird. I mean, I read it as being just that region's Pokédex, hence why modern games have catchable Pokémon that can't be registered in the dex (Hisuian Pokémon in Paldea, the qr scan Pokémon in Alola, and even the Alolan Pokémon not register able to Galar).
My headcanon is that all the champions keep in touch with each other and talk about their hobbies. I could really see Steven and Cynthia chatting together because they both have interests in ancient mythologies and remnants of the past like rocks or ruins, or Lance and Leon because they would talk about capes, their adventures as champions and how Charizard isn't a Dragon type lol. Would help the Pokémon world feel more interconnected

I have a few headcanons!
- The Scarlet/Violet protags (Florian/Juliana) see each other in their game counterpart uniforms when they look in the mirror. At one point, they realize they can talk to each other.
- The PLA protagonist is the professor’s assistant in DPPT. (Bonus: I see Dawn/Akari as the PLA protag/Professor’s assistant)
- The Kalos Queen in the anime acts as a sort of political figure beyond performances and press
- After Ash’s run in the anime, he and his mom live in Pallet Town half the year and with Professor Kukui the other half
- The BW protag counterpart you meet in the Battle Subway used to live in Nuvema, so which character is the protagonist depends on whether their parents decided to move or not.
- The Battle Subway counterpart is also the older sibling of the BW2 protagonist, and occasionally visits them in Aspertia.
- Mallow takes a cross-continental journey to explore the variety of regional dishes and it inspires her to learn about the other regions’ cultures.
- The Pokespe dexholders (especially the younger ones, ESPECIALLY Sun and Shield) take bets as to which region will have a world-ending catastrophe which needs to be prevented by new Dexholders next. White participated once as a joke and got both the disaster and the region correct.
- Megastones and Keystones act as a sort of regulator or conductor for bond energy, making Mega Evolutions generally less painful.
- To add to my last one, the reason Ash and Greninja had such a difficult time regulating their Ash-Greninja form was because they didn’t have Mega or key stones. It’s like shooting a hundred bolts of lightning with no direction.
- On the same vein of thought, Mega Evolution is only painful if there’s a disconnect in emotions between trainer and Pokémon. Part of the reason it was deemed unsafe/harmful in the gameverse is because the XY games let the protag Mega Evolve their Pokémon regardless of friendship or affection levels.
- (Based off Swamp 151’s headcanon in the video) Starters are specially bred, and there’s often not enough for each new trainer, so many will choose to go without. Priority goes to people living nearby a regional professor’s lab.

I completely agree with your mega evolution points. Given the info we have, I’ve always viewed the bond and side effects as two sides of the same coin. It’s perfectly demonstrated in the XY anime too with Korrina’s Lucario. It does make me wonder though, did the anime inspire the side effect portion of the lore or was that always intended but they didn’t know how to express/implement it in the games at the time for some reason?
Also, I can see Blake trying to stop the betting and by the time Henry and Casey join he places a stack of bills in front of Sun with a note stating whatever will end up happening when SV starts.
I think it would definitely be a fun idea for the two protags in S&V to talk to each other through a mirror, knowing that they both live in different worlds.
I also think it would be cool if Hikari/Dawn were to be the new assistant in PLA to prof. Laventon. I've had the same idea in that she does since she doesn't find a way home because a certain Space Llama was a jerk and didn't let her go home.

Your Legends Arceus headcanon is actually as far from actual canon as it can be, funnily enough. In Masters, it's confirmed that the canon protagonists are Dawn and Rei, and none of the four are related to each other, as far as they know.
Riddle me this:
Mallow and Arven meet in Alola, Arven there for foreign ingredients, and Mallow is taking over at the restaurant for the day.
They have a cook off and forever become cooking rivals. They have another cook off every two months.
I have a couple of headcanons that I do think are notable enough to mention:
-Cynthia has loads of cousins, around 20, but only knows, like, 3-4 of them. Family reunions are wild, I'll just say.
-Diantha is bilingual, and uses her native tongue to throw the most vulgar insults imaginable at people that wrong her.
-Cynthia knows what Volo did.

My head cannon is that Pokémon cards are like the baseball cards of the Pokémon universe.
In contrast to my Cynthia headcanon, I think it’s funny to think the least popular protagonists (such as Kris or Lucas, who I’m pretty sure are the least popular overall) have secretly plotted on ways to cause the downfall of the more popular protags.

I got a few Scarlet and Violet Headcannons
1: Depending on the version, Arven’s second parent Turo in Scarlet, and Sada in violet, will appear as a teacher in Blueberry academy.
2: Past Paradox Pokémon of Megas resemble mega evolutions due to the fact mega evolution activates some inate lost gene upon transformation. Ergo all past paradoxes of mega Pokémon loosely look like their Megas.
3: Nemona’s idol is Ash Ketchum. We even see her dye a streak of hair to resemble ash’ indigo cap logo and her using the electrical rodent of the region.
I like the 3rd one, I never thought about it, but it connects well and makes sense. :D

My head cannon is that Cyrus made it out of the distortion world and came to appreciate the value of all of the world’s contradictions and now helps propel science forward from behind the scenes which is why tech sky rocketed so fast in the series after his game
I like the idea of him recovering. He got redemption arcs in two different manga series and BDSP implies that he's started to change.
- Elesa, Nessa and Tulip have a friendly model rivalry, they have a group chat where Elesa just spam memes, they also commission Valerie for dress designs.
- The reason Nemona has her arm-brace it's because she abused using terrastalizing and it caused damage in her tendons.

Pokemon works on a sort of synergy. Some people work better with pokemon, and others work better with specific types. That's why there are so many type specialists, because some people can train just one type better. It also explains why most people don't have full teams, they can't use pokemon as well, at least not as many. On the other side, that makes the champions and more specifically the Protagonists, prodigies, because they can train any and all pokemon and do it extremely quickly (exp share). Pokemon raising and battling isn't easy, but the protagonist is just better at it.
My headcanon for SV is that the two protagonists (Florian and Juliana) are twins with Florian being shy and timid while Juliana is energetic and joyful. Florian would do Victory Road because he has a crush on Nemona and Juliana would join Arven to go on exciting adventures.
I think a lot of the newer protagonists are twins, mainly because they no longer appear as rival characters. Hilda and Hilbert also apply to me due to their similar names.
Indo the same, but Juliana's crushing on Nemona because Nemona's so tough and cool, and she gushes about her to Florian every night, but always ends her lesbian gushing with something that implies she's not into women, but Florian eventually cracks with the obvious gayness of his wombmate and just, at one point, asks her what she'd immediately think if HE said all that about Nemona.
Juliana got PISSED and started ranting about he couldn't crush on her because Nemona was HER rival.
He then points out she assumed he was crushing on her.
Their mother could've swore she heard a dozen Pokémon eggs hatching the night before.

In my rewrite for SV, they're twins but Juliana got sent into the past with AI Sada to some unspecified point in time, probably not at the same place as Sada, and now Florian is super depressed because he thinks all of his family is dead. We haven't had a depressed protag before, unless you count Red post his game or something in SPECIAL i don't know about. Seems funny. And then the time machine could activate again sending Turo and Florian into the future and bring Sada and Juliana back to the present, swapping the MCs until they get Florian back.
I feel like Bede would be the kind of friend to notice his friend's shoe is untied and without saying anything he just bends down and ties it in a double knot and he then unties and double knots the other one for good measure, but like only after his apprenticeship with Opal, before then he wouldn't give a shit.

1. Volkner and Cyrus are brothers. They have similar hairstyles and are interested in machinery. Cyrus is said to have been born in Sunnyshore. Cyrus is obviously the older brother. Volkner was the favorite child. Volkner and Cyrus don’t acknowledge each other because Volkner thinks that Cyrus ran away/died and Cyrus would rather not think about Volkner or any of his family.
2. The protagonist of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers was actually born in Viridian Forest. In the Pokémon Adventures Manga, people get powers if they’re born in Viridian Forest. The Explorers protagonist got the ability to see into the past and future.
I think Cogita insinuates the head canon about the Legendaries. She says that humans will die and the legend will move on. I’m inclined to believe that Cogita was saying exactly what that head canon is.

I have a headcanon that's a full-on story in the making, revolving around N's mother.
1) N's mother has the ability to speak to Pokemon as well. It's an inherited ability (there's a chance if N had children they could do it too)
2) she was manipulated by Ghetsis too. I once imagined an entire story where it was a whole SpottedleafxThistleclaw scenario (if you know, you know) and hecka toxic but she was too young to realize it until it was too late to back out.
That leads directly into theory 3) N's mother tried to escape with N, only being able to hide him in the woods before Ghetsis caught her and got rid of her. Or, alternatively, Ghetsis quietly disposed of her after she'd had a son with her gift, then left N in the woods to ensure he was proficient at using this inherited gift before Ghetsis began training him to be king.
I love this headcanon!
Okay, i can TOTALLY see this as The Pokemon version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Both Ghetsis and N’s behavior in-game remind me of Judge Claude Frollo and Quasimodo in a way, and i LOVE it.

N's mother is from Paldea, and her name was Katarina, but Ghetsis pressured her to change it to Catherine bc it was more "Unovan" and it was another way to assert control over her.
Cynthia and ice cream- Now with Scarlet/ Violet making different foods help with different things, like defeating or finding certain types of pokemon, she must have known that, and needs to pick what will help her most in the near future.
My original headcannon- Max must have brought home all kinds of pidgey, wurmple, rattata, etc., begging his parents to let him catch them. They kept putting their foot down, and had to make a rule that neither of their children would get a pokemon early. May was cool with it because she was afraid of it, and once she got over that fear, still didn't want to get into trouble for catching a pokemon for him.
three of my headcanons:
1. Ash is perpetually ten years old, because whenever his age is mentioned the timeline was shifted and compressed such that he's ten whenever him being ten years old gets mentioned. and Ash is retiring as the show's main character because Dialga is tired.
2. The time machine in Area Zero really works as a time machine, but the pokemon pulled through it evolve into paradox pokemon like a trade evolution depending on which direction the time machine was set to in that timeline.
3. Tandemaus and Maushold are actually the dust mites of Paldea, the two we see as Tandemaus are just the swarm pooling their strength into two battle ready individuals to get them to normal pokemon size (which is why Tandemaus must level up through battle to evolve, the swarm doesn't see the need to provide reinforcements without battle).
My headcanon is that Red is really a chill guy who was way too good at pokemon, so he just needs a hug
I love to imagine piers using a million zigzagoons built up into like a Gundam with an obstagoon right at the top
Also, the headcanon about Pokémon being picky and doing a test fight before being caught could explain why you can't catch Pokémon after they faint, despite the easier way out. They don't like that, explain it away as luck, and escape as soon as they can. This happened so much after PLA that it's now common sense to let a fainted Pokémon lie to be healed by other wild Pokémon and attempt to hurt a Pokémon enough to become low, but not faint.
My headcanon is that Rotom being a ghost type and being the Pokedex is why the Pokedex is more consistently dark nowadays. Golbat getting drunk off of too much blood and Primape getting so angry it dies wasn't talked about until the Rotom dex in gen 7.

While not a headcanon, more like something that would be nice to see more often in the games is NPC trainer classes like Lass or Beauty having nicknames on their Pokémon. Even Johto’s gym leader Jasmine nicknamed her Steelix, but only in Performing Contests. Seeing more trainers nicknaming their Pokémon would make the player feel less alone or bizarre in nicknaming their own.
My headcannon is that Nemona is depressed. Being a bit dramatic, but i believe there might be more to her bubbly, friendly, battle-crazed personality than we give it credit for. At a young age, she became the student council president, is the top student, and is a champion, this leads to kids kinda fearing getting too close to her, like how the team star grunts in front of the school were afraid when Nemona showed up. Nemona also talks to you and teachers behind closed off areas mostly for adults and rarely interacts with other trainers, inclusing strong ones like Arven and Penny. She's also the rich daughter who's father is on the board of the company that makes the rotom phone.
Nemona is intimidating to those who know her, leading to her wanting to make friends with those who don't know her for her accomplishments or her status, rather as a friend on an equal level to her, as to why she decided to restart her journey for the player character.
My head canon is that Geeta knows she is a weak Champion, which is why she structured the Paldea League to make it so that no one can dethrone her as “Top Champion” and thus devaluing the accomplishment of becoming Champion. Most Champions are perfectly fine with stepping down when they lose, but not her. She spends all of her free time inspecting the gyms to constantly keep tabs on the gym leaders to ensure none of them are strong enough to challenge her so that she can cling to power, and she especially is hard on Larry (making the man work as an Elite 4 member and gym leader in addition to his office job) because Larry is on to her BS as a toxic boss. The gym leaders don’t like her because she treats the Pokémon league like a business, a business that doesn’t pay its employees very well when the Gym Leaders are more committed to their side gigs and hobbies than actually being gym leaders.
Plus, who the hell makes a literal toddler an Elite 4 member? Poppy is a nepo baby for sure, with one of her parents having a connection to Geeta in some way
So she’s essentially Mr krabs as a human female Pokémon trainer
Headcanon: Nemona is neurodivergent
Not sure how common this thought process is, but her being completely hyperfixated on battling honestly makes me feel seen and like I'm not alone in obsessing over things I really like
I have a few headcannons mostly based on Masters.
1. Red and Ethan have a sort of older brother younger brother relationship. I like to imagine that they're so close, many people mistake them for being related, and neither of them correct anyone.
2. Silver, Gladion, and N all occasionally talk to each other about their parental issues, this eventually turned into a club where anyone with parental issues could join.
3. Archie sometimes watches over Tate and Liza, and the twins call him Uncle Archie.

Siebold is the Pokemon equivalent of Gordon Ramsey. This includes the dozens of restaurants, the mitilian (I currently have no way to spell check that) stars, and the TV shows. He's from lower Galar (equivalent to Scotland) and swears enough to make even Drake blush.

One head canon I have is that the protagonist of every game is stuck in a time loop that repeats every time they lose a battle. When losing and going to battle again the npc never remembers battling you in the first place.
Another headcanon I have is that missing no was Arceus’ first attempt at creating a Pokémon and it failed. Mew, Dialga,Palkia,and Girratina were it’s first SUCCESSFUL attempts. Missingno still lurks in the world without anyone knowing about it.
My headcanon is Ash is hiding how smart he actually is and openly had terrible performance anxiety. His dad or his parents friends shared stories about their own journeys with Ash. So he feels like he has to compare to those people. In Alola and the WCS none of them were able to do either. So Ash finally didn't have that anxiety pressuring him and was finally able to put his skills to the test. Allowing him to become Alola's first Champion and World Champion since neither his parents or his parents friends ever had to do that.
Goh is being watched by Mew. Mew finds Goh's declaration of being caught by Goh amusing. Suicune watched Goh as well and realized how lonely he was but also how kind. Which is why Suicune allowed itself to be captured.
Ash and Goh after some time away return to the Cerise Laboratory and resume working as Research Fellows.
Paradox Pokemon aren't actual Pokemon. They were what could have been if certain Evil Teams won. Thus the term Paradox.
Professor Sada and Professor Turo are married. Both are alive just being kept in a sort of Stasis by an Evil Team who believe they are the source of the Paradox Pokemon when it's the result of the Machine.
Legendaries can take on human disguises and walk around among humans. Mew and Celebi are the ones who do this more often. Arceus, is very rare as he does not enjoy leaving the Hall of Origins.
Giratina is a fan of Piers' music and begs Arceus to revive him a Legendary after the end of his human lifespan.
Ash's Lucario is the reincarnation of Sir Aaron's Lucario as some people speculate the 'Chosen One' is the reincarnation of Sir Aaron.

This may be an odd headcanon, but I like to think Gloria has a twin sister. Gloria is the one we get with an English accent in the game, Masters EX, and possible anime appearance. The twin (middle name Gloria) is our lovable drunk we get in fan comics who has a Scottish accent and lives with their dad.
i have a headcanon that the little purple bumps on master balls contain a tranquilizer that instantly puts any pokemon to sleep INSIDE the pokeball, immediately catching it.
I like that according to Masters, the reason why Elio and Selene would tend to stare off into space and smile is because Elio overthinks so much and Selene is so laid back to the point that they both take time on what's in front of them to sink in to respond.
I have an odd headcanon when it comes to the version exclusive gym leaders of Galar, more specifically Allistor and Bea. Though i did make this concept as more OC Parallels being opposite gender twins when i first made it.
~Unlike Melonie and Gordie there isn't a clear explaination of their existance in the other game.
~ It goes off the idea of each game being a different universe.
~ I headcanon they have a different goal in the other game:
~Allister in the sword universe never got in the position to become the gym leader he is in the Shield universe. Instead Allister has a goal to befriend or catch all ghost types and possibly travels to different regions to obtain that goal.
~Bea has taken more of an interest in training herself and her fighting type pokemon possibly to take on the gym challenge instead of being a gym leader herself or just to be an ultimate fighting type trainer. - After the stuff that happened with Volo in Legends: Arceus, Giratina realized its mistakes and took off to become a better Pokémon. That's why, in Platinum, it was against Cyrus instead of with him.
- When the Pokémon world first became habitable, Arceus created Mew as a sort of Adam and Eve. There were many of them, and then they eventually went on to evolve into different Pokémon (like, irl evolution, not Pokémon) since their DNA is so diverse. But a few of them still remain unevolved today, hence how we can still rarely find them.
- In the wild, Pokémon can evolve as needed without being restricted by levels or friendship, explaining the underleveled Pokémon such as the level 25 Volcarona in B2W2 or wild friendship evolutions like Leavanny in rustling grass in some areas of Unova.
I like how spot on the one about Kalos being part of a larger continent is, because I (and a looot of other people) are like 90% sure that big wall at the north east edge of Paldea *is* Kaloa itself. Kalos. Is just a much higher elevation.
I have 2 head cannons that I think work really well
1. Whenever the main protagonist story ends (aka when you stop playing the games and the story continues) you releases all your captured legendarys back to the wild to continue protecting the region or pokemon. This explains why red doesn't have the mewtwo you caught as he released it and how you can find mewtwo in different places.
2. All trainers in the pokemon anime as well as the games that use a legendary pokemon (not including legendarys that have multiples of each other such as the regi trio as regigigas most likely created multiple for different regions) are all dittos that have seen the legendarys roaming and have forgotten how to transform back explaining why legendarys used by trainers in the anime arnt as powerful as the real ones
This is a bit embarassing, but ever since I was a kid, I’ve had this head cannon that when Pokémon go inside their pokéballs, the inside of the ball transforms into a home that the Pokémon would consider comfortable. It’s cuz I’d feel bad if it was just a cold metal sphere.
Also, because of Pokémon ranch, I have a head cannon that when Pokémon are put into the PC boxes, they get transported to a big lush open farm that they can play on (also because I’d feel bad if they were just completely digitalized and stuck doing nothing, while still being conscious). This head cannon of mine was also supported by the little field Pokémon from your boxes play in in Legends Arceus

I have a headcanon that wild Pokémon imitate humans, or Pokémon owned by trainers.
I can just imagine wild Pokémon all getting together in the middle of a forest, bringing berries of all types, like a festival of some sorts.
Just imagine a Gengar talking to his friend Garchomp well roasting a citrus berry over a fire a Delphox made,
Or a Haxorus sharpening a log to look like a beer mug,
Or perhaps a Gardevoir talking to best bud Hatterene about how the kids are doing.
The reason why they do this?
To make them look smarter.
I mean, humans have pushed their society forward in such a big way, they’re able to capture God. Why wouldn’t Pokémon want to be like them?

this started from art i saw a while ago and it's stuck with me ever since: Wes and Volkner are brothers (or are at the very least closely related). making weird mechanical projects runs in the family, whether it's rewiring an entire city or building a hover motorcycle. they would drive each other nuts if they tried to make something as a team at this point though.
(also aaaa i didn't expect to be in the video!! i still love the racing idea. additional dumb masters HC, people have mixed up roark and silver before, usually if roark's not wearing his glasses in the mornings. the moment one of them talks it's clear who it really is.)
I have a headcanon that the reason we never find dropped money from lost wild encounters is that it's all digital, and it tries to automatically cash out to the winner, but no winner is found, so the signal bounces around until it scrambles, which is why trainers are incentivised to collect materials to sell. It helps them with saving up extra income in case of an emergency.
I like the idea that everyone knows that dynamax pokemon are terriffyingly dangerous, and when one is sent out during a battle, both trainers have to quickly run off the field prior to its attack.

I'd like to think that Gloria and Leon are exceptions to this. They say it's because they trust their Pokémon; and while this is partially true, they also just have no regard for their own safety and get too absorbed in the battle.
Many security guards have tried (and failed) to drag them off the field beforehand.
My headcanon is that ash in masters would try to befriend all the game versions of his companions, but fail miserably, and Scottie/Bettie would try to tell him that they are different people, but ash wouldn’t listen, him only being able to befriend Misty and Brock and maybe Iris.

My headcanon is that you are reincarnated every game because in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet the lady who gives you a phone case if you bought the previous games says 'In your past lives you've lived' so even though you don't remember what you did you always have the skills that you had in your last life which means that each time you're reincarnated you get better and better. Also explains why you need to keep being taught how to catch a pokemon every game.
One head cannon i have is that whenever you play as a character in any game, if you use the same name for a different character, it is just the same character, just with a different design

My headcannon is that in most of the games, you record your first encounter with every new Pokemon, so when you go to the Pokedex and see the pokémon's sprite moving, that's not just an animation, that's the movement the Pokemon did when you discovered it.

My head canon is that the real reason you can’t find Zorark in gen 5 is that there hiding as people(evil gen 5 team ). And N’s Zorark is his sibling. Which is why he can talk to Pokémon because he is half Zorark.
In pokemon Gold/Silver/HG/SS, we get to see how Silver grow as a trainer and as a person even seeing own a Crobat at one point. In special event Celebi in that game, we get to see what Giovanni was doing during the time he was being contacted by Team Rocket to get him to join again. Even though we, the protagonist ultimately stopped Giovanni into reconsidering to join Team Rocket, I always feel that it was Silver who interacted with his father and finally stopped Giovanni into ever joining back to Team Rocket. So in a sense, Silver was also there when Celebi took the protagonist to the past.
On the topic of the anime’s insane events, I have a headcanon that the anime is a sort of his friends retelling their journeys with him. That’s why Ash has “retcons” because every season is told by a different friends or group of friends.
Brock and Misty saw him mature from a newbie trainer trying too hard to be cool, shown by his hat turns and general overconfidence.
May and Dawn saw him as a good friend with more experience than them, leading to their perception of Ash sort of mentoring them in battling.
Iris saw him as “a kid” and overexaggerates his childlike personality by remembering him as dumber and less capable than he actually is.
Serena sees him as a cool, experienced trainer who can do anything, exaggerating his power and skill as a trainer.
The Alolan crew remember his talent and skill at battling and food, which is why he becomes more childlike but maintains his battling skills.
Gosh remembers Ash in a “first friend” perspective while also being astonished at Ash’s battling capabilities.
I have a head cannon that in Masters, Gloria either couldn't stop swearing, or she kept speaking in Scots so no one understood her so they had to dub over her voice.
I like to think that since your bond is usually strengthened during mega evolution, that the Pokémon AND you shate the pain, making it more bearable and hence why people dont just use megas all the time

Anyways, my headcanon is that Dawn (at least in the anime) always has an item for every occasion, no matter how out of the blue it may be. She is prepared for every possible thing, and her bag is always stuffed full to the brim because of it.
My head canon is that the loyal three are all mind controlled by pecharunt, and that the hypno that all the creepypastas are based on had a trainer, but killed them out of spite from being caught.
My headcanon is that the gen 9 protagonist likes to flex to nemona arven and penny about how they beat all of them despite being at least a year younger
I have 1 mainly:
The reason all the legendaries are spread across multiple regions is because long ago the most ancient ones (those that can create stuff) got into a literal civil war. It stemmed between Groudon and Kyogre getting into a fight and Groudon just losing it. The battle decimated the whole world and the other legendaries began trying to defend their creations resulting in more conflict. In the aftermath, the world would be left in ruin with the legendaries still fighting. Arceus and the creation trio, who would've stayed far away from the war, decide that they need to just start over. In order to do this, Arceus created regigagas. Not one regigigas, but many. The regigigas would basically act as assassins, creating the other regis to aid the in hunting down the other legends. Groudon and kyogre were sealed away as a result of the chaos. Eventually, Giratina would decide to fight back against the regis and though it would succeed in destroying them, Arceus would send Giratina to distortion world as punishment. After all this, Mew would set on a mission to revive the world, resulting in the other legendaries. Mew made many attempts to keep them separated, and soon the legendaries Mew created as well as Mew themself would heal the world.

2.) All the towns and cities are actually bigger than they appear to be in game like the anime all just for the game's sake of not being too large.
3.) The canon protagonist in Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald is Brendan while in Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire, its May. This is all because of the mother's hair color. Its lighter in ORAS than RSE like May's hair.

- I like to imagine Hippowdons with Mulitple Dwebbles stop near berry trees and have a family meal (Hippowdon's Sw/Sh entry)
- I imagine Snovers enjoy giving it's berries to Galarian Darumakas because it likes to make pokemon happy, and it feels bad for them once the Abomasnows scare them away (Not sure which entry this is but it's most likely Snover's/G. Darumaka's Sw/Sh entry)

Since I’ve begun running back the older titles with more challenging rulesets, I’ve come up with a theory, those who play with Nuzlocke rules are using their Pokémon as a means to an end, like chess pieces in a game.
They’re not concerned with completing the dex, they’re not concerned with the side characters, or even their bonds with other Pokémon unless there’s a benefit to increasing friendship. Pokémon that faint in battle get cast aside for failing their trainer.
Everyone sees these protagonists as heroes, but in reality, nuzlocke protags are absolute sociopaths who will do anything for the sake of a challenge/thrill, anything for a high stakes game.
My head cannon is that in legends arceus, after the game takes place, you live in that time and go on to have a family which eventually you are born and its all a loop

I've always believed that the reason legendary pokemon are considered legendary is bcs they're the last of their species and are unable to reproduce due to them being unable to breed with other pokemon or even dittos

My headcannon is that the protagonist was sent to multiple timelines and regions by Arceus, like Arceus did in legends Arceus, and all legends and mythical test your worthiness through battle to see your true character and decide if you are worthy of their power
My headcanon is that back when Mustard was a Gym Leader, he was the leader of Stow-On-Side, and not far from retirement, he took Bea/Allister under his wing and helped them become strong, capable trainers. Even if this doesn't work for Al, it's definitely possible for Bea. Now of course Bea doesn't directly mention Mustard in the Isle of Armour, but she could just not know he's the dojo master himself. Or SwSh creators didn't want to make Bea stand out as a character for some stupid reason.
I even made a fanfic relating to this headcanon of Bea and Mustard having some sort of relationship, buuut that's not important.
My personal headcanon is that the only reason that the pokedex entries for megas say they go through tremendous pain when mega evolved, is because the scientists who studied the mega forms didn't properly bond with the pokemon first, only mega evolving them to study, and having a strong bond with the pokemon will pull off a "successful" mega evolution
I have a headcannon where ironically even tho Kalos was the region that introduced Mega-Evolution none of their regional pokemon are able to mega evolve themselves (not even their legendries that produce the phenomenon) the reason for this was because the ultimate weapon was used on foreign enemies and their pokemon that Kalos was at war with so it makes sense that their native pokemon weren't exposed and effected by the radiation.

I have a headcanon that Hisuian Zoroarks are much sweeter around those they trust. They definitely have an unhinged and malicious side, but that's just one side of the coin. The other side only comes out around those that they trust, and only around them.
