  • If your lucky to even find ammo, your currently going to be paying a $1 per round or more for 223/5.56. See how I load mine for .35 per round. If you are not yet reloading, you should be, and you don't need fancy high dollar equipment to get it done. I'll show you how.

Excellent video of the process. I quit reloading a few years ago, when ammo was cheaper than I could reload it. Then, in Mar. 2020, I saw what was coming and set about re-accumulating reloading equipment, powder, and PRIMERS, and bullets. I now am back into it, and if I weren't reloading, I wouldn't be going to the range to practice at today's ammo prices. I recover my brass, and reload it and store it. You are very patient in your process, which is key to new reloaders, as they want to try to build up speed and load 200 rounds/hour or something, and lose the focus to check each step of the way, to assure no squibs, and in smaller calibres, powder errors and even double-charging. It''s CRITICAL to pay attention to what you are doing, and not get distracted, or complacent. Good Job!

Shouldn't you maybe set die depth to top of shell holder and not the top of ram? Thats the way I have done it for 30 yrs.

My kind of reloading, no big frills, and it gets the job done right. Keep using the band on the loose lid. Paw paw said ,cant get something new cause of little hitches. Thanks.

I have the three die set and I use the ammo in my bolt action, why would I need the mech sizer die just for a bolt gun?

You don't, but if your not ultra concerned about best accuracy and want to possibly save on trim time neck sizing is an alternative. Otherwise stick to full length resizing as any comp shooter would tell you.

Question -- do you still need to roll size the cases or full length sizer is enough? Thanks!

Just full length resize. An argument could be made to neck tension also, but for 223 is overkill.

What kind of loading block do you have? I like the color

MTM. It's dual sided. Can do rifle up to 338 and pistol on other side up to 45. Only block I've ever had. Thank you for watching.

Good luck finding primers, bullets, brass or powder. Seems there's a lot of hoarding by the manufacturers. Not like its war time, there is no excuse I can think of other than to artificially inflate the prices and as we all know once prices go up they don't come back down.
