  • Running through the required calibration in this video. Step by step process.
Make quick adjustments to your powder measure and save time when switching from one load to another or increasing the powder charge on a specific round. If you load multiple rounds/calibers on your Dillon, this is a must have upgrade!
From the manufacturer when using the provided spreadsheet.
    1. The "GREEN" areas is for the user data. The idea was to show you can leave areas blank and get a good calculation.
    2. You do not have to use the "# OF SAMPLE CHARGES" that was in the sample spread sheet. The "# OF SAMPLE CHARGES" is adjustable for your choice... (5) samples is the recommended minimum.
    3. It is okay to not take a sample at a "DIAL SETTINGS" but the data field needs to be left blank and void of any numbers. The spread sheet will extrapolate the data for the "DIAL SETTINGS" that are left blank. So, it is best to not add your own extrapolated data as it will introduce calculation errors to the spread sheet.
    4. When doing the calibration, the idea is to calibrate all of the whole numbers and than go to the "half " points where you will most likely be charging your cases. For example on the sample spread sheet there is a cluster of samples at the "DIAL SETTINGS" of 2 through 7.

Please see the video description above for additional information that was provided by the manufacturer post release of the video. Not sure why video freezes for 30 seconds around 6:55 mark. Doesn't impact the information. Sorry!

I run a set of 550Cs, one LP & 1 SP. These look like a good investment

Really enjoy your videos. Thanks, they are very helpful. I will use a 10mm case, it will fit your shellplate and hold the powder.

You don't need nearly that many points nor powder drops to make a good cal chart. 10 drops is plenty per point. Four or five points from zero to max on the dial, then do a least squares curve fit in Excel. Sounds scary but is easy.

I just received my Easy Dial and did not see the web address to download the spreadsheet. Can you point me in the right direction?

You'll need to email Titan, and Dennis will send to you. Or shoot me an email and I'll pass along.

You're videos led me to my purchase of the EZ Dial. I'm having an issue with accuracy though. I did calibrate all the half sizes. Maybe my sample sizes for the halfs were too large. I calibrated for TITEGROUP. If I want 4.0grains my scale (same as yours) displays 3.9. I did try your example of 5.5 and got 5.5 with dial number to get that was 2.80. The 7grain example switches between 6.9 and 7.0 sometimes 7.1. Scale is level and no air movement, no fans or wind blowing. Fresh batteries in the scale. Any thoughts? I always dump back about 10 charges into the hopper before checking on the scale.

There is always going to me some variance (tenth grains) both on scale weight and in the dial. Still a big time saver. Thanks for watching!

@@IdahoReloader ok thanks I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong and that I was achieving the load I intended (within a tenth of a grain 😁) I'm doing a run of about 3000 (9mm) this weekend of which I will chrono the first 100 or so before I get in full swing. Just dotting my I's and crossing my fingers.
In my OCD head I wasn't thinking tenth of a grain all I saw was the number didn't match and OHHH NOOO the sky is falling. Thanks for bringing me back from the edge.

Question for you. I see that you have a spring that went around your powder hopper and the new blue pin. My square deal B never had that but I can see where it would help with consistency. Where did you get it?

Was original to my SDB although it's an older model. They may not use them anymore?

Dude, your powder measure is binding up pretty bad, may outta look into that. I would think that would definitely cause inconsistencies in your powder throws.. The dial looks neat though.
