When I started Skateboarding back in 2004 I used to ride with pig wheels at the begging , and Bones STF at least until 2009, then I stopped skating for a few years because of an injury and because of drug abuse that made me feel very lazy and erased my creativity and determination. So in 2012 I got bored of the drugs and the loser people around it, I survived a lot of things, and decided to start Skateboarding again. Long story short it's been since 2012 that I have been using spitfire wheels , but this year literally just about a couple of months ago I have decided to buy again a set of Bones and I am in love with them honestly. Best wheels ever.
This is exactly what I have been wanting to see. I skated bones for a long time but I have switched to spitfire. The formula fours are the best wheels to ride. I'm currently riding the formula four classic 52mm 101 duro and the formula four tablets 53mm 101 duro
@@mailnoslihp95 riding the classics 52 mm 101 green swirls myself i loved them but i am going for tablet or conical next time. Calgary has some gnarly concrete in its parking lots so im tryina ride over the rough shit but still be able to skate street.
I actually like learning about these brands since it gives me more insight especially this one like once I need to get new wheels I might get some Bones
Generally kids do enjoy a softer wheel cause they can ride it anywhere and won’t get bucked off when they hit little pebbles! ATF 53mm would be a great starting point for a skateboard sized board.
Hi guys, so I’m a beginner, been riding 6 months. I ride park. What Bones wheels do I want? Been riding Spitfire Classic, F4, 54 mm. I find myself sliding in the park a bit with them. Thanks.
I love Bones wheels STFS and my Three Favorite Bones wheels STFS are V2 V-3 and V-5 I ride all versions 1 through 5, 50mm to 55mm,and ride Bones 100% too in case I can't find ride STFS.
bones spf arent flatspot resistant, they do flatspot really easily on rough concrete, but the thoese are the fastest wheels on the market for skatepark
Too bad they suck and leave huge craters from the pour job, hit them up because I was experiencing wheel wobble because my bearings didn't sit flat because of the gaping holes left from pour bubbles and they gave me the run around saying ship them back to them , so that they could inspect them like wtf? Do u not believe me? I sent pictures etc over $40 that cost them maybe $5 I'd send my customer a new set. I'll buy spitfires next time forsure
Yea F4's are great street wheels. Usually people do the 99D for street and the 101D for park with spitfire. They last different amounts of time depending on when and where you skate.
You ride either with 100s, they work for both. 👍🏻 if you’re just riding park you could go harder, and if you were just riding rough streets you could go softer 👍🏻👍🏻
Good info but maybe help us old school guys out who aren’t as familiar with the new scale. Basically I was used to the A scale, so 84a was soft These use the B scale so basically 84b is over 100a. Really hard.
Yea, basically you see a bunch of wheel brands that write 101A on their wheels, which isn’t a real durometer (the scale goes from 0-100). So once you hit 103A it’s technically a 83B. Bones has a good article on that stuff here: bones.com/why/b-scale/
im not really a fan of bones. dont get me wrong there great wheels but when to comes skating rough ground there not as good as spitfires. i prefer spitfires
Ah they are only the most flat spot resistant on this planet, when you quantify it like that I'm not interested. Hmu when you find at least the most resistant in the galaxy, thanks.
Lol Bones actually uses the B scales because it’s the proper scale to use for the durometer of their wheels. Canada’s an amazing place to live, definitely would not want to live anywhere else.
Yo Fogtown a Bones Town, you eff around on your rinky dink mall board anywhere in our province and be ridin Sh!tfires no joke son your head be rollin away

honestly spitfire are more flatspot resistant than these but bones hold their shape for longer which is great but a killer if you flatspot them.
Thanks for this. So I’m getting my kid into skateboarding. Wondering whether to start him off on some ATFs. Any advice?

yooo great vid
Glad you enjoyed!!
Strange STF are listed a A, not B on the Powell website. But, I see them listed as B on the packaging in your video.
They dont do rollerskate?
Niiiice cannot wait
so can I use the spf formula to bomb hills, since they are the biggest and hardest to flatspot??
Pharmacy Board-shop Hollywood just got a lot of BONES wheels in and I'm going to add this to the Instagram link
Sounds rad! I'll stop by the next time I'm in Cali!! Feel like that might be a while with all the Covid craziness!

are spitfire f4s good for street? and how long they last?
Yea F4's are great street wheels. Usually people do the 99D for street and the 101D for park with spitfire. They last different amounts of time depending on when and where you skate.
I ride bones STF V5, 53 millimeters
60mm? I have bones on my board that are 69mm. They don’t make big wheels any more?
Are the 100 made for street skating or skate park skating??

bones.com/why/b-scale/
To keep it simple man just take your b rated wheels and ad 20 and that's pretty much will be. So you see a 81b think 101a, see an 84b think 104b
@@jordanbowey4175 well actually 85b is equal to 100a. 85b and 100a are the highest readings you can get on a durometer
@@wowdude2624 nah mate, that's not correct. B is the next rating of scale 81b is the next hardness after 100a
