Skating those now. Great wheel. They feel super comfy while rolling even on the pavement. Only complaint that I have is that they are super sticky for a 99. I gotta have some give. Maybe the 101 would be a better option. Other than that it’s a quality made wheel 360 degrees perfect.
@@Skatebetter those can get a little old but I think if you did a few videos like that it would be cool, maybe save it for a end of the year video idk.
gee, i wonder who suggested this… i’m two weeks late, but thanks for giving them a try. if you do plan on giving bones another shot, i suggest getting the v4, v5, or v6 in 99a. btw, currently riding 103 v4 54mm, and yeah they are NOT good on crusty streets. i think they are more of a smooth surface (e.g. skate parks) wheel.
Lol- it was a good suggestion and I’m glad I tried them. 👌🏻 I def think a different shape would be more interesting next time as bones has a few options indeed. I agree- 103’s are super fun in the parks but just goes to show the pro/con or preference factor is always there!
so I got an updated review on the stf 103 a wheels I rode them for weeks and didnt like the feel over spitfires , so i put my spitfires back on but I ended up flatspotting new spitfires f4 getting stuck on a rock and at the park all day sounded like a machine gun im rolling on so I put the bones stf back on , now that ive got used to them I actually like them more now , I like the aesthetic of the white look as well
I got recently got Spitfire Conical Full 58mm 99dur & they are ONLY good on a Super Smooth surface like a Skatepark, other than that pretty useless anywhere else. So I put them on a board I hardly use. Sad story.....
It’s because you ride the Thunders right where the slide is on the wheel rather than the base plate? I mean the curiousness? I like the Bones wheels but I do think the riding surfaces are a bit too much on the narrow side for me and the surfaces I ride. One of my first experiences with a Bones wheel the 99A 52mm STF V5s was throwing down my board by my inlaws and almost getting thrown off from the rapid deceleration because the wheels just are sooo narrow that even a 99A wheel isn’t going to cut it when the wheel gets stuck between one elevated piece of crust and another. Admittably the ground down by them is horrible but still. So I feel your experience!
Def- i think the Thunders wide wheelbase attributes to this for sure- also the Ventures feel just as wide but it feels like the baseplate sticks out more and seems to help a bit so far. For the wheels I feel that 100%.
cool review and great skating. nice to see someone with your skills demonstrating

Just ordered a pair of 51mm stf 103a and a new set of bronsons raws
Bronson Raws are one my fav bearings I’ve ever tried. Enjoy the wheels!
You should do videos eventually of your top five favorite decks, wheels, shoes
Love that idea! I’ve always thought about a tiers list video but i think those are played out? 🤷🏻♂️

Can you do bones 99x formula compare with F4 SFs

Which one slides better?

i have 54mm 99a f4 tablets and i skate them at shitty Istanbul streets
what park is that that you're skating under the bridge?
It’s called Lot 11- in Miami

You should try a madness, monarch project, or pop secret board
I’m definitely interested in all of these companies- particularly Monarch and Pop Secret.
Bones are good for tranny/skate parks. They chip easy on really rough streets
Agreed- spits never seem to roll as fast as bones do on smooth park, especially with the spf series
