That's not the way it went. The committee went to MJ first and he asked who was all gonna be on the team because he wasn't gonna play with a bunch of scrubs. When Zeke walked off the floor after the Bulls eliminated the Pistons, that ended his consideration to be on the team.
What really happened likely was MJ, Bird and Magic got called in for seperste and completely different reasons and then all pf a sudden IT was brought up and they all probably said yesh idk if I'm playing if he's on this team.

I remember going to a UNCF benefit game back in the day. All of the stars showed up- MJ, Magic, Dominique, Larry Bird, Spud Webb,and Isiah among others. Since the game was for charity, there was no defense except against Isiah. Other players tried to block all his shots because Isiah was considered a dirty player at the time.

@Xan Frank it could've maybe been argued but they only kept 2 PGs. Magic had come back to play and stock made all nba and all defensive 2nd team, led the league in assists and steals. Ike hadn't had any awards other than a finals win and MVP in the prior 5 years. He'd also played most of the season and lost in the 1st round after missing 1/3 of the previous season. He really only would've made that team over magic and stock out of a sign of a respect, that most players didn't have for him
