- The Stone Roses She Bangs the Drums Live Concert MSG New York City NYC 6/30/2016 June 30th 2016 30/06/2016 6-30-16 06/30/16 Madison Square Garden
The dude on drums is unreal
that dude is called RENI and hes a fookin legend mate!
He can literally play anything. Best drummer alive in my opinion.
@Mr. Wapojif - I noticed that too... he's been playing on a bigger kit than he used to, doing a lot more flashy fills on the toms but his groove used to be more fluid and funky back in the day - saying that, he's still great... I just went back and listened to the version of 'I am the Resurrection' they played at Blackpool Empress Ballroom in 1989 yesterday and his drumming was on a totally different level...
He actually sings the lead back too.
Nah. He's better now...
Name another band that had one album in 1989 and could fill MSG in 2016. This was without doubt the best concert I have ever been too.
The Pixies ☺
Sex pistols. Nick drake .
cactus world news
They had 2 albums, it was called second coming
They had another album don’t forget
Chomba Womba
For those who have mentioned the drummer Reni....He has aways been a legend and up there with greats and to be honest passed a few to date....Love the guy and the way he treats the skins.....
Hes a great drummer for sure
The problem with trying to convince a lot of people about Reni's place as an all time drumming great is that the records never quite showcased his skills the way the live experience did... but that is a tribute to him as a musician too, because he was always playing for the songs and never a musical wanker...
Treats the skins lovely
Has Ian had singing lessons...Best I've heard him sound in years...Love this!!!!
a bit of autotune, man..
Not being loaded will lead to that.
Er... many times.
AUtotune
The songs are taken down a half step. Easier to sing.
This was the first stone roses song i ever heard as a 14 year old in newzealand in 1989, my older sister sent a casette over from England with this on it. The first time i heard it you could here it was a classic
I was lucky enough to be there and the whole show was amazing - they nailed it all night.
RENI such a natural drummer.
The best band in my life ever!
Reni is a total monster! Gives it his all. Saw them at the Etihad a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic! Seeing them again tomorrow Marlay Park Dublin. Can't wait!
was there. sounded better in person, and the mood from start to finish was triumphant. legends
Manchesters finest rocking the Big Apple. It doesnt get any better than that.
After hearing Reni live in Leeds I have to say he is defo the best drummer in the whole!! The guy is just awesome!!
Here here
What an amazing band that is. Genius at work.
Reni can sure bang the drums e.g. 2:03 - simply amazing!
I love this band, they got the real groove !!
I love how these guys haven’t changed at all!! Legends
Amazing video! Reni rules!
great !! glad to see and hear they're still rockin', way cooler then 90's !!
This will be the first gig I will go to when time travel is invented :)
If you do nail time travel - skip this gig and go back to when the Roses played in a tent on Glasgow Green in 1989...
Fair paly, Ian's voice has improved.
Autotune
Simply awesome!!🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋
Brilliant video !!! Thanks for uploading, sharing etc :-))))
All Reni! Outstanding.
Omg reni the best there will ever be
Gary on bass is incredible
This was the first song I ever heard them sing and that was in 1990. Still as cool as ever.
Timeless life affirming pop ,Reni's that icing on top x
Reni! #Legend
Fucking amazing. This is the best they've sounded in years!
There are nowords to explain I feel when I hear this song. But it feels like being young.
They should have played here back in 89-90. They were so close to becoming a worldwide type of band. But whatever their music and how they mean to you is what matters, not the status of the band as a whole.
Great songs.
Roses awesome group live. As good as recorded tracks..
Pure Class!
Late nights with the top down and a pretty girl beside me (you know who you are 😉) listening to this song on repeat. #TheStoneRoses #SheBangstheDrums #Britpop
What a fookin drummer and bass and guitar players
He bangs the drums.
What a fookin drummer😍
Fucking Reni!!!! That fill at the beginning before it all kicks in is awesome!
Que chebre 👍 como quisiera estar en ese concierto esta super 🤘🤘🤘 The Stones roses siempre serán eternos ..esta canción está super .👍👍👍🎧🎸🎹🔊😎
Great performance by the drummer
How good is reni he is giving me goosebumps
never lost it
Wow! Reni plays so powerfully here. I wonder if he's angry about something. I notice he was making signs to the tech guys.
excellent
Reni`s the best.
This is what's known as 'They got their shit down tight".
And “they got auto tune”
Did I read somewhere Reni was approached about taking over drums for AC/DC?
Reni Reni Reni Reeeeeeeeeni!!!!!!!!!
Reni is fuckin amazing the way hes drumming
Should have seen him when he was 25 mate
Reni is fucking magic
It’s such a fucking shame that Reni has played on so few albums. Dude is probably the greatest British drummer of his entire generation
Quem sabe ao vivo 🤘
Fuckin Reni....such a cool angelic back up vocals in this
A four letter word.... RENI.
John Squire,cool as
Pete townshend asked reni to play on 1of solo albums way back in my opinion that's how good renin is
sorry reni
@@stephengoldring5316 Townsend* One* Back.* In* Opinion,* Reni* Is.* - those are all your grammatical errors corrected.
Learn to type, you illiterate cretin.
im seeing a bit of the keith moon here and i mean that as a fuckin compliment
THthefirst i didnt know that. what was said? rodger or pete? thanks
Their first ever gig had them on the same bill and pete said he was the best drummer he'd seen since moon. He even tried to nab him for his solo record but he turned him down.
T Scott thanks for that
If you compare a drummer to Keith Moon, one that is actually good, that is automatically a compliment. I do see some of Moon in him as well, some Zak Starkey too!
Reni.
These guys played The Garden? Yes, they are worthy of playing on top of Mt. Everest, but I am stunned that in 2016 they would have the balls to think they could play The Garden. That arrogance is brilliant.
I'm happily surprised they could sell out MSG in 2016, or so I heard the show was a sell out. That is a testament to their legacy.
Jeez... the drummer...
at least have the decency to address him by his name , Alan fucking wren
Auto tune did well
Lead vocals are way out of tune
what the stone roses are about
John Squire, cool as
Fuck
