Titus Pullo I saw Noel Gallagher in Atlanta the night before. I was 17 at the time. I was practically begging my mom to take us to NY. Met Mani in an Airport though, better than a concert you could say
no problem. i saw roses 8 times in the late 80's, 1990 gigs like international 1, glasgow green, blackpool, my memories of the old gigs were the energy of the fans were intense, but i have to admit, the sound quality was poor. really, the roses would play 10 gigs, 5 were ok, 2 were great and 3 were pretty bad. like i said, nobody cared cos it was the stone f'ing roses and the crowds were mad! i'd rate hacienda and blackpool as one of the better gigs. i wasn't a fan of the 2nd coming gigs, to me without reni, it wasn't the stone roses. i saw them in 2012 in singapore, and heaton park, and i think they sound much better this time around. i saw them at etihad and msg, the msg gig sounded so much better. my point being, a smaller arena suits them better, msg fits around 18-19 thousand fans vs the big football arenas which fit 50,000. something about their sound and acoustics of a smaller arena.
Only seen them at Spike Island & the Etihad on the Sunday. Both incredible experiences in their own right. 26 years between & I was stoned at both gigs. Still riding the vibe now. Would love to see them in a more intimate arena like the iconic MSG though..One day it'll happen..
Yeah, 2:27 you can see him looking at you thinking "fuck sake, she didn't catch it, maybe I can go down there, pick it up and give it to her?".... then, because he's thinking about that, he gets out of beat and has to stop singing for a second or two so he can get back in. I guess it's a good thing for you, I mean how many other people can say they made Ian brown fuck up his timing on a little bit of a stone roses song? Guess it was a bad thing for everybody else listening though, haha!
haha, you are funny. absolutely! In my defense... I want to clarify that I was taking my phone out of my purse to take the only few pictures I took, and he threw it when I was trying to set up my phone, so for a moment I thought he threw it like a missile haha. No tambourine and all it is the best feeling that the first one he threw IT WAS TO ME! :*
Seriously? Ah well, music is subjective we all hear different things. There might be a bit of Reni in Travis' drum fills I guess, but they weren't really well known in the states so it's tough to say. One love brotha.💯
I was there. Waited 20 years for this, they did not disappoint. I can die happy now.
one concert that was totally worth the wait.
Brian Berry it was great! Wish they played "standing here"

They've never sounded better live...ever! They aced this show!, got to get it released on DVD surely???
Reni on drums, pure magic❤
i dont think if theres a bigger stone roses fan than me but i think the magic has gone.
the best gig i've ever seen. sounded alot better than those ginormous stadium shows in the UK. MSG is a basketball stadium.
all i'm saying is they sound better in smaller arenas. i have also seen them since the 80's, i'm from wigans uk

P S you said that right
Wish I was there.
I can't believe he threw his tambourine to me.. ('2"30)
and I missed it! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Silly me. Lost my chance. They are great!
Not only did you miss it, you also made Ian get out of time!
Did I? is that a good or a bad thing.. haha

Yeah pretty bad, must frustrating to rest of the band doing decent job..🙈🙈🙈
Does anybody not notice ian singing outta time
yeah man, he fucked up - he started singing a bit too fast and was suddenly a beat in advance! proably a bit too high to sing that one lol
Reni got him back in…..
2:28 Ian fucks timing up for everyone. How embarrassing
I wonder if they influenced blink 182 at all. This one reminds me of them a little bit
