    Very easy and super consistent brew guide I've now been using for over 9 months.
    I don't know what you call a medium grind. I normally use 23 clicks on Comandante the same setting I use for Hario V60. For approximately the same brew time as I use continuous pour with the V60.
    The only Thing that I do differently is to preheat the brewer with 500ml of boiling water to get the most out of the design. Specially important as you do pulse brewing.

    Love this video! I am super curious to know how the Hoop Coffee Brewer by ceado compares! With its radial infusion and 2023 SCA Best New Consumer Product Award… I feel like it deserves a video.
    Also, it would be amazing if this video’s description could be updated to include the grind settings like Elika Liftee’s videos. That is super helpful when getting these recipes close to right as a newbie! :)
    Thank you for making and posting these videos! 🎉

    Very easy to understand guide. So easy that I don't understand where some of these questions here are coming from.
    Will try this tomorrow.
    ps. do you not find that this brewer benifits from more pre-heating say with 500ml+ of water for more heat retention ?

    why are you just pouring outside the filter??

  • @austingergen

    Why do you pour outside the filter? Doesn't that cause underextraction?

      more like diluted instead of underextracted IMO. lower TDS, weaker coffee?

      @@katt2002 I just watched James Hoffmann 2 video guides on pours for V60 and Chemex. He said he tested the tds for side pours and it was higher! Maybe that translates to these also. The water comes back in and draws down more beans.

    Just to clarify, are you doing the second pour 30 seconds after the beginning of the bloom pour or 30 seconds after the end of the bloom pour? Thanks.

      @OnyxCoffeeLab  3 роки тому +1

      30 seconds from the beginning of the Bloom. Timer starts at the start of our Bloom, that's our reference for timeframe.

    how tf did you go from 350 grams to 200!? lmfao

    • @OnyxCoffeeLab
      @OnyxCoffeeLab  4 роки тому +8

      The 2nd pour will reach 200g while the 3rd and final pour at 1m 20s should reach the 350g total. If you brew along in real time you'll hit those time cues along with Dylan.
