- Thanks for watching! In this video I break down the Fellow Carter Mug Series and the various lids for the Move Mug along with their pros and cons.
Do you own a Fellow Carter Mug? What do you think? Would you go so far as to say it's life-changing?
In my next video I'll show you how to make your very own sling/carrier for your Carter Mug (both the Everywhere and the Move) so that you can bring your mug with you on all your adventures.

Hahahaha. Definitely laughed out loud at the "Sorry Nick" graphic. I did design the slide lock lid (it was very challenging, to be honest). Did the best we could in terms of keeping part count low, but we're always open to feedback and want to work to make things better. Thanks for giving these a go.
Nick! Honestly, it's a very clever and super solid design. I think if you added a small hole right above the sip hole for depressurizing and used a slightly longer spring for a tighter seal it would be perfect. I've been on a lot of road trips lately and the Slide-Lock has seen a lot of use. Thank you so much for what you do!
I love the lid - and the whole mug!
I’ve been trying about 30+ different mugs last year, and I found Fellow is the one I like a lot for it’s ceramic interior and the stainless outer layer. Plus I love the sleek design of the fellow products, so in my opinion, simple is the best in every way of the center. I opt. for the original design, with the splash guard or without, is the way for me - a simple elegant way to enjoy my cup anywhere, anytime!!!
Hello, Jessica 👋
30+ mugs??? That is seriously impressive. A considerable search for the ultimate mug! I agree with you - simple and clean is best. Thanks for your comment!
Hahahaha I love the graph! Dude thanks a lot for this video!
No problem! Thanks for the comment!
I sub’d as soon as I saw the chart 👏
🔥 thank you!
Also, when it is cold, like in Michigan, for example, I just wore a pair of good gloves, and my hands were toasty despite the air temperature the week before Christmas being a toasty -20 deg F!!!:):):)
Very helpful and very entertaining 😂. Thanks Stephen!
Happy to help, thank you!
Great video! Congrats on 100 subs, love the editing and chill vibes your videos give off
Noel, thank you so much. That's so kind of you to say. I'm glad to hear my videos instill that kind of vibe - I'll keep working to make them even better! Hope you have a great weekend.
Real person- helpful video. Thanks man
No problem, thank you for your comment!
Looking forward to the sling video coming out! Really enjoying your content :)
Thank you so much Charlie! The new video is coming really soon!
I agree with what you think about which mug is best for each occasion. I have found leaving a 360 Sip mug at my office and traveling to and from the office with the Evewhere mug has created a great travel and "sipping" experience
It's all about finding the perfect system! Thanks for tuning in!
I just snagged one of the artist series Carter mugs. Hype
That's dope. I hope you enjoy it!
ok but the mushroom mug is Adorable ;___;
Try the Corksicle Commuter mug with a 360 Sip but push to click open and close. In my opinion much much nicer design.
Looks like a great mug! Love the lid design. I just might try it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
The lip on the corksicle sucks, it's objectively worse of a drinking experience as you don't engage your nose.
@@cine-ish Hi Kuma, do you have a recommendation for one that does allow you to smell the contents better, without sacrificing the splash/spill protection? (The Fellow Move 360 Sip does not completely seal as far as I can tell - only splash protection.). I only use when commuting to work (99% of my coffee drinking is done with a ceramic mug at home), and although it is not as pleasant as drinking from a regular open mug, it's a sacrifice to have the protection, convenience, and thermal retention while commuting. Also, Starbucks sells a lot of to go coffee with lids, where you cannot smell the contents either - I liken the commuter mug to a similar experience. I think for me, it would be a higher wish item to have the outer lip made of ceramic instead of plastic - I think that would enhance the drinking experience even more. Corksicle is kinda pricey, for those interested but balking at the cost, I came across a very similar designed mug from Miir called the "360 Traveler". About half the price and seems well made, haven't tried one yet. I do suspect it would have the same property of not allowing you to smell the contents much.
@@gregoryrobak456 I am going to probably buy the Frank Green and use it as a lid off mug or give the Fellow Move (og lid) a chance as the thin lip will, in my experience, provide a fuller and enjoyable drinking experience. I do however enjoy drinking from my Zojirushi Wide mouth mug as it allows more aroma to reach your nose without comprising the drinking experience but I will still say an open mug is far superior to a closed one. 360 mugs in general are just pretty mediocre in all aspects imho.
What’s the main difference with wide mug and move mug. The cup holder and splash guard? I’m having trouble picking a ceramic inside mug. It looks like the carters are the only that keep the coffee hot at work.
Yes. The Wide (previously known as the Everywhere) is shorter, wider, and doesn't come with a splash guard. The Move is taller, thinner (so it fits in more cup holders), and comes with a splash guard. I have found the splash guard to be a welcome addition to the mug!
As another user commented, Frank Green also makes an attractive ceramic-lined mug if you find that the Carter isn't quite your style. It's also worth checking out other retailers as some will stock Fellow mugs in their own exclusive colors.
@@stephenthorsteinsson Thanks for the reply 🙏 the move mug may be the move. As I’ve searched many mugs they don’t keep the coffee warm for even an hour. With ceramic coating/lining.
Hi S,Are you selling your slings? I actually don't know why I would need one other than I go to a lot of Doctor appointments. I'm not active because I'm super ill for 20 years. But as I said I do goBut as I said I do go To Doctor appointments a lot. But of course I'd rather be rock climbing like you 😂
Hello! I’m sorry to say I’m not currently making any for sale. However, I may actually recommend the new Carter Carry lid as a rope and carabiners can be easily attached to it without having to construct a sling for it!
Is this a 12oz or 16oz tumbler in your hand when you’re walking?
12oz!
I drink cacao, not coffee. I've been looking for a mug I can throw into my bag to take on my bike. This one looks pretty good.
absolutely. if you haven’t already made a purchase then I recommend the new Carter Carry lid - not the 20oz mug size specifically, but the lid with the handle. it’s been nice to use. The regular Move capsule lid is definitely more sleek and might fit in more places, but something to consider.
You should release your own sling. Im ready to buy it.
Thinking about it! Would love to make more products and even have some available for sale, as you say. Thank you for the feedback!
Great video!
I’m not a huge fan of the Carter. I don’t like having to take the lid off every time I want a sip. I stopped using it probably 2 weeks after I got it. Maybe I would like a different kid better.

Thank you!
I would probably recommend the 360 Sip Lid for the Carter Move. But I have been seeing ads for another company called Purist - any of their mugs with their Scope lid looks interesting. The only drawback is the glass interior of those mugs is only rated to 185 F (is what I've been reading in the reviews, anyway).
Thanks so much for the sub! I love all the feedback too.
GOOD VIDEO
Thank you!!
I dont mind having to take off the original lid while drinking from the cup. But, I work in an office or at home, so, you should not take my comments seriously!!!:):):) I dont have to walk anywhere, I am usually sitting in my chair while I have my coffee
I still take your comments seriously, haha. Office workers are appreciated too! I don't mind taking the lid off, but I know that some people may have problems using their hands or can't get enough strength into them. And after a long day of tamping and twisting portafilters sometimes my barista wrists want a break 😂
@@stephenthorsteinsson my problem is this. That despite being a student-athlete for a BIG 10 school, I got brain cancer, and though having survived the cancer, the after effects of all the chemotherapy drugs they pumped into me, have caused me to have 16 strokes. The latest ones happened in the first week of September 2022. So, I too have trouble with unscrewing the lid of my Fellow travel mug sometimes.. or unscrewing my mokapot sometimes. Since September, I havent used anything but my Stainless steel Bodum French Press.
Sid, I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been going through. I can't possibly even begin to imagine what it's like or the difficulties you're facing now, but I can say congratulations on surviving brain cancer (and recovery!) You're in my prayers.
It's all too often that accessibility isn't an inherent thought in the design process for most products (coffee products especially). More attention needs to be brought to this in product reviews. Maybe that's why the French Press has been around as long as it has. It's a classic.
Do let me know if there are any products you're interested in that I could potentially do a review of! Happy to help where I can.
@@stephenthorsteinsson Stephen- thank you so much, and thanks for being so understanding. I find that I have had to do a complete reevaluation of almost everything I use because of my condition. I will email you, and we can talk about coffee products.
I love my mushroom mug
yes to this comment!
a commuter mug sling - also known as a: purse. lol ive seen bags/slings shaped solely for water bottles, i guess its not too revolutionary. also those commuter mug slings you found look a bit odd... i'll stick with my purse
1:16 😂😂😂
What size is the one you have? Why couldn’t you tell us the oz size 🤦♂️
Apologies, the one I have is a 12oz Move!
