1)Wanted one. 2)Went to go see price. 3)Ran away.
Looooool. That's exactly how I felt. Damn.
Daan Roes just save...took my friend a few years but the day he got it he came by with it, set it up on my cab and dude....to keep it short Axe-FX 2 is unreal and by all means worth the wait and money!
derek lewis i don't see why you would want one unless you're really serious about making music or rich. i feel like a POD HD 500 could serve a similar purpose for far cheaper.
Dismal626 ^This guy right here. The Axe is a brilliant piece of gear BUT its only meant for the serious musician/guitarist. If you're trying to make a career out of playing the guitar or some means of income from playing, then this is the gear for you. Otherwise the POD HD will suffice.
Dismal626 you clearly arent familiar with GAS , it troubles many of us guitarists :(
Good job playing Aaron Marshall's solo!! Intervals, Animals as Leaders and you guys are definitely the best newer instrumental bands out now.
Aged like wine
0:19 man, that tone is just... Perfect.
+wagner frança Tosin Abasi uses that one heavily - lovely tone
is that just delay and reverb?? i need to fucking get this tone
Just got an axe-fx, what preset is that one? Where can I get it?
@@davi.abrantes did you find it?
He was playing the Mile Zero solo at 2:25! Haha... still one of my favorite guitar solos of all time. I'm glad Tim thinks so too
If Mordecai and Rigby were guitar players...
2:23 Tim was listening to some Periphery!
Who doesn't?
Mile Zero second solo)))
no wonder that solo sounded so familiar
What is the sonf of that solo?
@@DjentyPyther mile zero. Solo is by Wes hauch tho. He's a monster
Aaron Marshall is pure genious. And this guy perfoms his solo like a boss.
My favorite solo for real. So many memories attached to that.
@@daysgobye Amen bro, its been a lot of time and I still have goosebumps everytime I come back to this songs
Where is the Aaron Marshall solo?
@@krispayy6076 1:36
i like what he did between 0:19 - 0:37 really nice clean sounding chord arrangements.
I thinks there's is chords what comes to 'Transcend'
reminds me of Psycho
It is amazing to see how far they've came and much they're guitar ability and versatility has came. Been my favorite band since 2013.
cannot get over those chords at 0:19. So damn beautiful
bro has the chruch tone
1:36 - 2:16 damn .. that melody :O
Thumbs up guys!
crush
POV: You are here because the UA-cam algorithm works in mysterious ways .
I m in love with that clean tone
At 0:38
That was the first couple notes to "La Catedral - A. Barrios".
Don't think I didn't catch that.
Kail533 woah, you're right ... well if he can play that then it's self explanatory why they are so good ... now it makes sense that his left hand is so damn fast
nice spot
Was about to comment on this - good catch lol
the clean tone at 0:20 was amazing
i would hate to be in a cocaine snorting contest with that dude, purty sure they used that thing on double dare on nickelodeon when i was a kid haha amazing guitar playing
Looked at this comment at least 3-4 times wondering what you were talking about. Then I saw it. Bravo sir! Bravo.
Massive konk-itis🤣
Lol where it was filled with gak and they had to reach up and dig through the gak to find the orange flag in order to move to the next obstacle lmao!

0:19-0:39 should definitely be an intro. c;
Can't wait for these to become more affordable. Also thanks for the playthrough snippets!
Their fingers are so phenomenal. \m/
This should be an official demo for the Axe FX II. The feelings your playing makes me feel! Mmm!
2:23 Mile Zero! Awesome :D
2:23 Mile Zero - Periphery solo excerpt! Wes Hauch!
That solo Scott did 🤘🔥🔥🔥
By watching these guys just noodling around, you can really see how much their style has changed. Always good music though
0:20 it sounds so beautiful!
exelente (Y) son unos grandes guitarristas, los admiro
saludos desde chile
2:17 dat periphery tho...
that periphery 2:16
Lovin the Mile Zero solo at 2:18
Tim playing Periphery!! 2:16
my fucking god, playing the solo from one of my favorite periphery songs ever. earned a sub here!
"not yet edited" *Edit light on* 0:50
in 1:32 is a grand solo, this guys are the best!!!
in which song is it ?
song Persevere from album Inspire
thanks mate :)
That output clipping damn near killed me. Fusion tones were sounding chill though.
It is also the solo in the song Mile Zero by Periphery :)
Awesome dude- I didn't know you were getting it so soon!
definitely heard some intervals in there. Mata Hari?
2:17 Mile Zero solo
Sort of biffed it at the last tapping part of the aaron marshall solo, but that's all fine(: I thought you guys tuned in drop C# before but now I'm convinced it's just drop D which is cool, no one can make it sound as huge as guys do! You guys had better be rockin' d'addarios
I love Timothy's music taste
Luck as a constant op I already love you guys
The action on that Jackson is like stupid low
That intervals was beautiful :)
3:02 "so many options oh my god what do i press"
Good:: some solos from intervals and periphery!
I love the clean parts damn.
I really like the clean sound of the FX but in terms of distorted sound I will always prefer my 5150/smth similar.
1:15
Oh my gosh '-' that's so beautiful dude...
1:36 song?
Persevere
awesome jackson Dinky by the way i had that exact one. but exchanged it for a non trem dinky because i hated that floyd and couldn't afford to throw in a licensed at the time :P amaing guitar though the maple neck was like butter sick playing by the way :)
gotta love the wes part
behringer power amp?! wow still sounds good.
Like the Wes Hauch lick at 2:30...It's fun to play..
Satisfaction = 100%
I got an axe fx ii and would love to see some of you settings, like the lead at 1:40. Also just any tips and tricks you have found helpful.
You guys are ducking great make more vids with axe fx!
These guys and chon should do a tour
Damn Tim playing Mile Zero solo
Does anyone know what patches or Amp sims they use for their leads on the axe? Not just from this video, but the albums too? Their tones are so clear and defined.
You guys remind me a lot of corelia! And thats a great thing!!
I mean if its good enough for my favorite bands: polyphia and deftones, its good enough for me. Im so Getting one!
Funny you mention that, deftones and Polyphia are doing a collab for one of the album 4 songs
@@VenNoel Sealed the deal tonight bro! I got my Axe Fx2 used and I cannot wait for that album 4 holy crap!
@@DruNature how you feel about the ax fx 2, thinking about maybe getting one
Idunno if it's just me but 1:45 something sounds like Intervals.
Aaron Marshall's guest solo from the song "Persevere".
I dig the misha mansoor esqeness to this
Haunted Shores uses the chord at 0:31 on almost all of their songs lol so i'm assuming misha and mark probably do the same in periphery
Baby polyphia!
Hell yeah 2:18 Badass Wes Hauch impression!
They didn't play any Periphery in their, both solos were from the Transcend EP.
did u plug the out of Axe FX on that europower and then to the cab? Nice video and skills =D
I wish I could find people like this to jam with.
2:23 I recognise that little lick, I wanna say Wes Hauch?
It is Wes' solo from Periphery's song, Mile Zero.
***** great call !!!
There is a Periphery solo from 2:16 ...
Hello amazing guys, what amp and cabinet simulation did you use on your AX Fx II in this video? :-)
That Intervals lick tho at 1:36 :)
Damn!! thats true!! I got confused because Mata Hari sounds very similar from .55 to 1:15.. check it out haha.. but sorry my bad :(
nice playing in this guys , real nice
What types of chords he is playing at 0:19 ?
I wanna know too
amazing ones lol
some variation off of C major, A major, and a variation on the last A Major DIM7. I wasn't quite able to see what he was holding. Then back to C. I've mean wrong before so don't hold me too hard on that. But from my extent on theory that's what it looks like.
I know the Third chord looks like a Dmaj7 6. I hope i spelled that right. f#, A, D, A, C#. E.
Cant tell what first chord is but my guess is something like a C9b5. Second looks like Em9.
So C9b5, Dma76, and Em9. Thats my best guess.
Lama Blah Dmaj9, Bmin9, F#min11, C#min7#5(the shape is the most common chord in djent, Periphery uses is all the time) then the same chord but with the order of the notes changed, then back to the first voicing, then he makes the 5 natural, then sharp again, them F#min7 and back to the first chord. If you're interested in learning every possible one of these big chords, it'll take you about half an hour, just find a lesson on jazz chords, like the ones Andrew Wasson has and you're good to go! Have a nice day.
Great demo! What else are you using there besides axe fix
tuning is eb and then the e is dropped to drop Db OR just drop D as it is in the tabs i'm just looking at now :p
Bro all polyphia is drop d...
Anyway, why do you need to explain what drop c#/d. is? Is the concept too hard to grasp for the common guitarist or is it just me who knows how to properly tune a guitar? *End of rant...
JayOneAlumni I wasn't trying to come off like that though. It just sounds like you're explaining what drop d is like you say tune to standard then dropped d. If you did that with a floating tremolo you would be out of tune. Usually people understand that drop d is standard with the low d etc... It would save time just to call it drop d. No bad vibea bro.
Jimmy Silvers im my original post i thought they where tuned to eb which i was wrong. So in order for someone to understand I said the tuning is Eb then drop it to Db. That is very straightforward with no room for error or misinterpretation. It would help If I edit it so it's to instead of so.
Why don't you abreviate it? That was my queston is why don't you say drop Db instead of going out of your way to say Eb standard dropped Db. Lol just saying.
Cos some people might not know what Drop D or Drop (x) is. Don't make me fly to where you're at and thumb wrestle you brah. I'm that loco.
0:20 periphery all new materials ?
so sick, wish i had one
can we have those patches?? I loved all of them, cheers!
I have the same Jackson DK2M. Do you have problems keeping it in tune with excessive trem use?
I'd love to see some plays with Clay!
hey guys! thank u for this such great demo! can u tell what kind of power amp and speakers do u use in this video? any other recommendations?
Nice tone. But I wonder why their post mix doesn't sound crisp and very digitally robotic !!!
Periphery mile zero solo?
sounds pretty got but the axe fx is clippng all the time !!! turn a little bit down the signal !!
Epiphany - intervals i think! yea it's Intervals Song
I see you guys.... Playing that Periphery shit.. I like it.
Does anyone know tell me the model of the guitar jackson white? thanks
I have bias fx and I feel like it dosent have a quick response on my picking and dosent capture my strings very well... if I get an axe fx that problem will be solved right?
+Eleno Molinas yeah absolutely, if you are running through an interface into bias fx and loading your distortion and what not in there, there will be a few milliseconds of delay which is quite noticeable
what's the output unit? i mean it is a guitar cab or a studio speaker? and what is it?
I think I'll just be done playing the guitar now...
any chance of seeing your patches they are so beautiful
Mile Zero solo ftw! :)
nice DK2M...great guitars!!!
Played through a guitarcab oder with IR enabled into pa/FRFR?
Aye Periphery!
Can you please tell me what was your setup here? did you use a cab or an FRFR speaker?
