- I needed to narrow and deepen the top end of the drainage line ditch to accommodate the desired grade on the corrugated plastic pipe. This video is just straight digging. Old Harbor Freight Trencher.
Sitting here at 6:30 am drinking my coffee and watching you dig. Makes me want to go out and get on mine but it's raining here. Oh well, more coffee for me.😁 Keep up the good work, you've moved a lot of dirt.
It’s been wet this season. I know you have Little Red. I was tempted to name mine Rain Dance because every time I fired her up the clouds started forming overhead. 😂
I think you get more in the bucket if you tilt while dragging and drag, stop and then tilt.
I almost bought one of these two years ago. I ordered it then the pandemic got into high gear. My order languished for two months then got canceled due to no supply coming in. I'm kinda glad I didn't get it as I decided to finance a tractor with a bucket and backhoe instead. I do like these trenchers, but they are much too slow and awkward with the four controls, versus just two sticks on most other units.
Yeah- I had the trencher before I purchased the tractor, so it was not necessary. I bought it used for less than 2K. It’s probably best for me just because I hate changing out 3pt implements. I can go from digging to box blading in a jiffy. I also find I can get this trencher in places my tractor just won’t go. It is slow, though, and I’ll admit the controls are awkward. And without a tractor with a loader, it is not much use. You have to move that dirt once it’s dug!

the one issue that I can really see with this machine the boom should be a little bit longer it only gives you a certain amount of height

I wsnt to buy a second hand one
I was lucky to find this one second hand. You can see it’s had a rough life and a few minor repairs, but I really like this little machine.
There are some similar products( different brands) that I have seen on Alibaba.
Need a lot of practice
I’m getting a lot working on this hill. One of my outriggers finally came apart from abuse and neglect. I’ll post some video when I’m done fixing it.
