For those of us who loved Pie since his humble beginnings, it's awesome to see him make it this far!
I remember seeing him on Facebook
A-ha!
@@freddyswme too, and I went to see him at Hammersmith Apollo and he was fcuking amazing!
No, it's embarrassingly poor now
I don't agree if he's working for BBC then he's sold out😢 he's the antithesis of British bullshit corp.
haha, I love Sam immediately bursting into a Pie style rant.
Law of attraction
Same here 😊
And Johnny backs off and does an ostrich immitation. Real life homour.
great to progress Jonathan into duo conversations, makes it fresh, I think Sam is great and will only get better with time.
he is doing a good job for someone with brown skin for sure and his english is pretty good aswell, that's the kind of immigrant we want.
as a viewer of this channel you should obviously be able to detect sarcasm, but just in case you don't...i'm playing on the sketch they did, it's comedy.
@@moos5221 . Well said! Oh, the irony is probably missed
I like Jules waaay more!
@@brakaduun Why? Because she is white or because you are also a woman? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you are a racist because you don't like the brown guy, it just seems like it though.
@@moos5221 I like Jules more - why do you have to bring racism into anything?
Sam and Jules are amazing characters in a superb dramatisation. Great stuff.
Really like the way the pair of them rub up against Pie revealing that he's at least flawed if not actually not very nice.
"You're an immigrant, right?"
"Third generation actually."
😁
This needs a full tv series, the radio series was excellent.
Brilliant. Poor guy, Pie wasn't listening to a word he was saying. He even said, "I wish I never asked now!" 😂
Poor white men you mean, watching a scripted load of woke codswollop.
How many times have we experienced "I wish I never asked?" For me it was when I asked "will you marry me?" 😅
@@jeromelambe2449 Why? Did she say yes &your life went to shite ever since?!😂
Sam is a legend, let’s have more of him!
Classic Pie! Sam is "the man in the street" for this hard hitting short segment. Excellent rant. More Sam, please!
Excellent skit, thank you to Sam and JP
As always, right on point.
Best Podcast available!!! Binged it twice!!!! Absolute CLASS! ❤
Yes its awesome. The entire crew is so good. I hope they win something for it besides our admiration.
Absolutely love Tom. When he does Johnathan Pie he's allowed himself to say what we are all thinking, but haven't the balls to say. Keep going Tom. Every time you do a rant, for me, it's like taking the cap off the pressure cooker that I am after hearing Sunak chastise us the British public.
Not anymore. He's working for the BBC now
Priceless observation and delivery Mr Pie. If only it weren't true...
Marvellous as ever. Sam's rant was great. Pye' s disdain was perfect.... more please.
Spot on!!! The thing is I love this country. I’m 3rd generation British. It’s disgusting to say but I feel some sort of pride in that. That I’m not an immigrant, I’m one of the “ok ones”. It’s bullshit and I need to do the work. But I AM. In the eyes of everyone else they see me as an immigrant because I’m non-white. This rainy, cold, grey, generally bad vibes island is my home.
For every “monkey” and “n*****r” and p**** I’ve had, for every micro aggressions I’ve encountered and being mistaken for “the toilet lady” (COUNTLESS TIMES BTW) there’s the universal “AYYYYY” when someone breaks a glass or the “yorrite?” and awkward smile that we all know and love. Its the rage at 55p Freddos. It’s being able to scream Mr Brightside word for word while not knowing a lick of the national anthem. We know our washing machines live longer with Calgon.
It’s become clearer and clearer this is my HOME but I don’t love my country and my country doesn’t love me and it never did.
this is poetry
awh dont be like that some of us, even down south, think its a bloody brilliant multicultural melting pot and are proud of the whole sorry mess and all the people in it "innit" -"yorrite?" XXX
WTF! Freddos are 55p!?!
@@budgetwebsiteservice 49p in WH Smiths
I’ve got nothing. Beautifully put. That last paragraph rings true for this nth generation trace-your-family-back-to-the-tudors white guy. You’re just as British as I’d ever call myself, and for that, I’m truly sorry.
More episodes. 10 wasn't enough !!! I love the episode where he explains to Sam that he's not treating him poorly because of his heritage, but because it's a shitty job and he had to go through the same shit. If you haven't watched all of them, you should.
Young Sam hit the nail on the head there! My wife is from Asia and the amount of Racism she has received over the years is pretty disgusting.
The punishment for that type of racism should be youth in Asia.
I'm so sorry for ur wife and how she's been treated. 10,000 Irish died in WW2 for this country My uncle, who was Irish, fought in WW2. To hear him relate, the 'No blacks, no Irish, no dogs', signs, as seen in later years, in the windows of countless B&Bs+ how it disgusted him.
Asians are some of the most rasist people in the world try being black & going to an Asian country..... every country has skum init doesn't mean the country itself rasist.
@@jmcm8546 Think that's bad - try declaring yourself English.
@@The_Phoenix_SagaGo and have a lie down you clown.
This is a hard hitting podcast. I binged the whole thing in a day. Pretty good, I hope for another season. :-)
Me too..
He’s always great. ❤ As well as funny and spot on.
Brilliant. Love SAM.
Sam's monolog was great...how many takes did he do, and how many times did Pie choke on his brekkie? 😂 Love the direction you've gone in your show ❤
Why does anyone think think that anyone likes anyone else that much anyway in this society?
@therespectedlex9794 because humans are troupe sanimals and instinctively collaborate. It's only people with negative agendas who devide and subjugate us.
@@therespectedlex9794 Anyone?
@@ZoomStranger Largely
@@therespectedlex9794 Bigly.
Imagine Sam out-ranting Pie so much he threw in the towel? Hilarious 😂
Love the way Pie (Tom Walker) has handed the rant over to Sam here, much more punch then Pie doing it.
Jokes aside, absolutely spot on. Money and power changes people so much so that they forget their roots
I bloody love Sam! I binged the podcast last week and it was absolutely glorious!
This guy is hilariously honest 😂
I’ve listened to the whole thing on BBC Sounds (twice now) and it was awesome to get this little extra clip.
Really hope that you do a second series!
😂 best way to hit home is with humour, keep up the good work 🏴🌈🇺🇦
Sounds a bit like this idea that's in Conservative circles in the US called "pulling the ladder up behind you". We've got women, speaking at conferences called TPUSA (Turning Point USA), where college-age Conservative women are told, by wealthy professional Conservative women (often unmarried, and/or w/o children), that the best place for a Conservative Woman is at home as a wife and mother.
Would like names please.
btw, just because someone is hypocritical doesn’t mean what they’re saying is not true. That’s called “throwing the baby out with the bathwater”
@@MakeAsylumsGre4tAgain yeah, in this case though, still completely untrue
Tbf I think the american comparison don't hold to much weight, if only because Britian's and Americas history with racism is very different. Over here I think its less about the ladder getting pulled up behind them and rather that the UK has an incredibly entrenched problem with class. Poor Asians get smeared with racist rhetoric yes, but its less that Braverman and Sunak are trying to ingratiate themselves with all the rich white people around them and simply just that the upper class in the UK thinks all of the working class are either drug dealing yobs, benefit scrounging scumbags, Pakistani grooming gangs, thieves from eastern Europe, etc etc
The racist rhetoric often feels less about actual racism and more as just a convenient dog-whistle to trick the UK notoriously xenophobic working class to attack each other rather than spot the same rich families have been running the show since the 10 century and they are the reason your lives are still a bit shit.
@@MakeAsylumsGre4tAgain It's not called 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater; that's a completely different thing. It's called a 'tu quoque' fallacy, technically. But you're right that a statement's truth isn't conditional on the hypocrisy of the person making the statement.
But in this case, turning point USA are definitely a thing, and it's quite easy to find them saying things like that because they're more than happy to say them. It's kind of one of the things they were formed to do. And pointing out the problem with tu quoque fallacy doesn't change how awful they are...that would be a fallacy fallacy.
Look up the stats on women's happiness since sexual liberation.
Then look at which political demographics need more therapy.
Enjoy your moment of shock.
Really enjoying this! Could easily be a TV version
So good
we really need him back on UK TV.
I enjoyed the episodes in general, and even echoed some of the things in my mind.
Partridge lives on, and I for one am very much for it!
Sunak & Braverman promoted above their competency levels.
And in less than 90 seconds a new Legend was born. We want SAM we want SAM.
Sam is brilliant.
Perfect comic timing!
Off to BBC Sounds...flecking hell I need it right now. 😂

whats going on in woke land I wonder when someone as outspoken as JP is given his own podcast at aunty's? Is this the beginning of the end of woke? Anyhow good on him, let's hope he doesn't suffer the same fate as NF

Simply Brilliant
This was absolutely hilarious
what is it about Pie that he can combine rip roaring humour with a giant intellect and make his point in such an accessible way. Gotta love the man!
What a shame I'll never see any of your BBC content, because I refuse to pay for propaganda to be pumped into my home. Please make it available on here!
Looking forward to more!
Excellent !! 😂😂😂😂 more Sam
That needed saying! Bravo!
Binge listened to the 'podcast'/radio show recently and it is predictably brilliant. Can't wait for a second series.
Love Sam want to see more of him 😂 funny guy
His BBC podcasts are superb.
This is a promo for that podcast
This is brilliant, already subscribed!
This podcast has the best and funniest political commentary I've listened to in years! Really top notch writing and the way it explores the complexity of divisive ideas with the phone-ins and production team's discussions is incredibly clever. Don't understand how it isn't being picked up in lists of best podcasts of the year. Thank you JP it's made my commuting a joy the last month
Love it xx love listening to the podcasts but it isn’t the same as seeing JP in full flow xx I need to get the full sensory experience :)
Partridge-esque. Excellent!
As always, brilliant! The best comedian going. As good as Paul Merton and Ruby Wax.
Nailed it.
