This “Dreamworks” was a Genesis software publisher based out of Minnesota. They published Fire Shark and Target Earth, two all-time Genesis classics, and Trampoline Terror, which is an interesting action-puzzler with a few charms. They only imported Japanese titles, and overall, they did a good job.
The only difference between this game and Maou Renjishi is that you don't have to restart from Stage 1 to face the Darkside Kabukimaster again in Stage 6. Once you defeat him in the previous stage, it skips to Stage 6.

La única similitud es que el protagonista en ambos juegos utiliza la estética de los actores kabuki, pero esa forma estética aparece en innumerables otros juegos, hasta en el Arcade de los simpsons (el jefe de pelo blanco en la etapa del estudio de televisión).
Try playing the game in a higher difficulty. Some games if you don’t beat them on the max difficulty, they will not show you a real ending on even all stages.
Loved Kabuki Quantum Fighter on NES, was greatly disappointed by the Genesis sequel, which is just a very basic beat-em-up. In a post-SOR landscape, this is just inexcusable. Great video, though.
IMO: The music really doesnt fit with the game which is hilarious. Blues rock tunes in medieval japan, come on ! Sounds like they composed for an unrealeased New York street brawler in the first place.
Shinobi ost's ? They absolutely fit those games. What I'm pointing is the inadequacy of sound with environemments. The shinobi soundtracks reflect the various environements very well which is the purpose of a soundtrack. "Rockin fast" soundtrack for urban context or fast paced surf riding is perfectly adequate. Mystical fighter happens in a medieval shogun context. Take Sengoku on Neo Geo, you'll understand the adequacy between music and environement .@@dieinfire920.
