Best crochet video. You used light colored yarn, a light background, no flashy nails and you went slow enough for us beginners to understand. I want to make a basket for my knitting. Thank you.

Okay but using a Bobby pin as a stitch marker is the most genius thing I’ve ever seen! Why have I never thought of this?! Could’ve saved so much money on buying stitch markers.
first attempt couldn't make it right (uneven bottom, weird bulging), now on the 2nd attempt and it is much better. a tip is to watch this on .5 speed, helps a lot for beginners like me. thank you for the guide video! easy to understand and you went thorough.
Thank you, as a beginner I really appreciate it. I’ve watched so many videos, they were doing everything so fast I had to slow down the video up to 0.5 . You explained everything in such a nice form, just thank you.
I’m making a cat crochet bed using this tutorial, will just make more rounds to increase the base so my cat fits in it 🥺🤣 thank you for this wonderful, clear tutorial ❤️🔥🙏🏽
I ended up coming here to make the cat bed too because the one video I was watching the lady just stopped doing the tutorial when it was time to do the sides.. for some bizarre reason and I’m still kind of confused on how to start the sides but I guess I’ll figure it out lmao
It is so helpful to have the pattern written . Its a great guiding point along with your vocals and skills. Cant wait to check out more of your tutorials! Thank you for your great work
Wow - as a left handed, but ambidextrous individual, crochet has always been a " which hand to use " problem. Love amigurimi animals so decided to persevere. My technique is not pretty - still trying to knit (he ha), but I succeeded at my first attempt. I forsee many baskets in my future. Thank you for this calm, beautifully described demo. Loved it ❤️
Love this tutorial.. This is my first attempt at crocheting, been at it for 5 hours now. Almost done now.. I think i made a small mistake, so every time i ended the round, i think i did an extra stitch, so the basket looks more slanted one side, not a complete cylinder. I think with one or 2 practicses, i'll get this. But thanks for lottt for this easy tutorial.
Hi, thanks so much for the video! I'm a complete beginner and I find there are couple of things that can be mentioned on the video that may help others here. I think it would be helpful if you could let us know the total number of stiches from each round so we all know that we are on the right track. Judging from the comments I think I'm not the only one who got confused. I also had to learn it the hard way that I shouldn't hook the slip stitch (from previous round) to close my round. Moreover NOT to start my first round (the 2 x single crochet) on the same slip stitch that I chained. Hope these make sense. I know you showed that on the vid but for beginner it just need to be clarified. Because for me at first, the first stitch was literally the next stitch. I made these two mistakes resulting in pentagon shaped base Having said that, I love your explanation of the increments (3rd round 2 1 = 3, 4th round 2 1 1 = 4) for each round. It makes perfect sense to me thus I can expand my base to 17 rounds. Plus I love the way you do the magic circle. P.S Sorry for many comment edits. I had to go through your vids so many times to make sense of the process plus to explain correctly
@@nooo7328 I was on an online course before and the tutor said that there are several ways to crochet in the round .. and one of them results in hexagon I think or atleast edges but it's no problem because as you make it bigger it starts to become more round and unnoticable..so you are not wrong I think
Hi! There is something not clear to me. The bobby pin to mark the end of a round - do you insert it into the last chain stitch of the round or into the slip stitch? Second, when you go over it, do you make a crochet stitch into the slip Stitch of the previous round or nothing? Thanks!
Wow, this is easy to follow. I invented my own pattern, but his is the best pattern so far. Thank you, Am off to make more baskets using this beautiful pattern!!
Wonderful video! I was following a pattern for a large yarn basket (size 9 hook with 4 strands of yarn) I found in Instagram & it was awful..took out 4” of work (twice 😖) Then I searched “yarn basket” and your video came up. I’m so thrilled with how it turned out! Thank you, it’s a gift for my sister. ❤
This actually makes me want to start crocheting! I always thought it would be too difficult to understand but your video really makes it easy for me, thank you!!
thank you so much for being so thorough with your instructions!! i just started learning to crochet and i get so confused without super detailed and clear steps, and this is the first time it started to click and i felt confident with what i was doing! :)
this is the best tutorial i think i have ever seen! i could never understand how to crochet because every video i watched was to confusing, but, this video made a lot of sense and was really easy to follow!! TY
alot of people seem to be getting a shape that isnt a circle! that might be because instead chaining one to start your row, you should just go into the next stitch. chaining one leaves a points at the end of each round and it isnt a circle
Such a great tutorial. I followed right along with you and it was so fun and easy to make. What a great way to give as a gift, filled with goodies. Thank you so much. I can see myself making lots more of these cute baskets. Lots of color possibilities!
Really easy to follow and thank you for it! I've been looking for a different method for doing baskets and will definitely give this a try. I think the sc/ss combo to finish off a round will help alleviate the bunching/rippling at the base that I've been getting via my other method.
I've been making little baskets for everything since I saw your video 🧺 thank you so much. Literally the clearest tutorial on the web. Thanks a basket load🤣😅
I ❤ ur precious little basket! Watched ur video last wk, ordered my Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn & just received it yest. Now to start my basket. Wish me luck! 🤗
Great tutorial, easy to follow as a beginner. Unfortunately I accidentally added extra stitches when finishing the vertical rounds and starting the new one, so one of the sides ended up a bit wonky, something for other beginners to pay extra attention to
thank you for sharing this pattern, i am still finishing mine. only thing i had to keep pausing it at each round. i sure wish you would of had a printable pattern. also at the end of each round the stitch count. im so ocd, i like to make sure i have the right count, I did not even know what each round was to be.,I had afew extra's on some rounds but continued anyway. so far its working out im on the height part now. and i did use a bigger hook, i wanted it to be a bigger basket , plus I couldn't find my G hook, lol, probably with another project I haven't fininshed. I was going to use blue an white but started with blue forgot I was going to do the two colors but I will make another one. too.
Ik this is a late reply to help, but after finishing each round you’re basically adding the “1 single stitch” every time. Meaning… after you finish 2 1 1 1 1, you’ll add a 1. Turning it into 2 1 1 1 1 1. And keep adding 1 more stitch after each round.
Do you roughly know how many meters you needed for the basket? I am thinking of making this one with 3 mm macrame cord and one "ball" has 100 meters .. the one you used has almost 300 meters so not sure how many I would need .. thank you!! :)
Best crochet video. You used light colored yarn, a light background, no flashy nails and you went slow enough for us beginners to understand. I want to make a basket for my knitting. Thank you.
Update... I have already made four baskets!!!
Yeah, it looks easy to do it.. I oso wana try to make this 😁.. Thank you!

In case anyone was curious, this works with other yarn sizes too! I made a giant one with 25mm Bernat gray and it’s beautiful!
Hello how do you make the sides stand properly or do I just have to live with it?
@Paisleyy11 maybe by blocking? You could try using chopsticks or smth like that to reinforce the sides and get them to stand better iygm

Your daughter must be a genius because I’ve been trying for 3-4 days and can’t even start the first round.

Hi, when I try adding height, it just becomes wider instead of taller, do you know what I'm doing wrong and how I could fix it??

How big was this tutorial? How much bigger did you make yours?
