Man, this takes me back. I use to jam this all the time when I was in high school. Great album and some really great songs and amazing damn solos. Dweez is really a tasty player and I love his creative use of effects for certain parts. I wish I could have seen him live during this time. He's got a crazy amount of good tones on this record too. Fun rock and roll with great musicianship. Mike Keneally is in the band too - he's a damn monster player. Beer for Dolphins!!!
Only 800 view something??? Jesus, people do not know anymore what great rock'n'roll music sounds like.Lovely tribute to Edward Van Halen, the king! Hi from France :)
Rumour has it that Eddie plays uncredited on the album somewhere because he couldn't get clearance from his record label. If it's true, then this video is a pretty big clue that this is where he is.
The final 7 notes are a nod to another dweezil track, I forget the name of it but his sis Moon sings, it's about the news or some shot like that great song
@@TarnTarn-zv6cp other bit of trivia: Nuno Bettencourt's backing vocals are highly recognizable on this track (awesome guitarist and friend of Dweezil who helped producing this dope album)

Just stumbled on this video... Dweezil zappa learned his guitar style from his dad and Eddy Van halen ....alot of his guitar rips u can hear eddy's style.....his dad and Eddy where great friends and would vist frank place alot and Dweezil was is big fan....
Back when this video came out, Dweezil was dating Robert’s daughter Katie who is also a TV personality. I can’t find the original video (that I first stumbled upon when I first learned of UA-cam in 2009-ish) with an extended opening scene where Wagner appears as a smooth emcee introducing viewers to the AZ/DZ Lounge (Ahmed Zappa/Dweezil Zappa). His brother also appears in that opening, I think.
Just found out from a new podcast on the making of this record, that actor Robert Wagner was the guy in the costume!! Dweezil confirmed it on his website last night.

One of the most outrageously talented set of musicians, Scott Thunes, Dweezil Zappa, Josh Freese and Mike Kenneally. Sadly apart from a few high points like this the rest of the album was quite flat.
Katie was in the Vanity video from the same album but that's not her here. She never had hair like that, definitely a different face... But I noticed this comment after trying to find who she is. Van Halen's Hear About It Later very much influences this tune, around the 2:51 mark. Dweezil to me captures Eddie's tone and style more than most..
