I bought a 97 12 Valve Diesel 5 speed in Phoenix and found the very same thing. Stopped in OKC, but other than a motel in Chandler, nothing available... even the truck rest areas were full and found a place and then into OKC... That was nearly three years ago... They told me post COVID... Kool project... Love the COE"s...
Love your channel! COE will be an awesome truck when you get done with it. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!Restored a '59 Chevy Fleetside' over the last 20 years. They take time, but they're definitely worth it! The '57 will no doubt be Beautiful, you do fine work! Thanks for posting these very fun to watch!
Kind of counter intuitive that a guy from the dry desert is driving over a thousand miles to the rust belt to drag home an old crusty COE that isn't worth it's weight in scrap. That being said I'm behind you all the way and I'm a new subscriber. Good luck !

too bad it doesn't have the hood, there is one somewhere figure out which years and models fit and have the viewers search it out .. these are so cool when finished up.. either mint, custom or relic'd . . check out Bellos customs and look at tone he did.. so cool... his is a utility rigg, has all the tool boxes in back prolly owned by the power comp[any or something in the day, the railroad? never look down on these they are way cool and not everybody and their brother has one . .
Do you know what Willy there’s a lot of copycats out there somebody’s copying you doing this truck they doing a few around there to a few films with some guys building them too. It’s crazy.
Love the project! I think super singles setup like deboss ua-cam.com/video/XPzlvV3oRqE/v-deo.html. 1 ton Silverado with a duramax would be excellent and keep the patina if you can. Should be a great adventure

I’m with you. Goofy. Lookin. From the. Factory. Thanks. Good luck
Cool old truck, heck of a road trip
Another great video, I love the vintage ad audio over the intro on this one! The music you are using is also perfect. Looking forward to the next one!
Very cool, love the COE
Class A motorhome chassis would work good too. Most you find are low miles. Its going to be a cool build.
Cheers
Terry
That’s what I’m looking for now. I have seen a few for cheap that are trashed on the inside but still run.

Exactly, my friend and I were laughing about that all the way to Illinois, completely backwards. The truck was gifted to me, so the price was right.
keep the dump bed! it´s fun, you have more to work/waste on, and it will be have more utility than a flatbed.
I can’t believe how nice the door gaps are, I’ve always liked those trucks but they’re hard to find now a days.
I was surprised to. This will be a fun truck.
Love the old Patina trucks i have also a chevy 54 Patina diesel truck greetings from Belgium europe 👍💪👍
Thanks for watching!

keep it original! you can make some changes on suspension/brakes/steering etc. but keep the frame and much original as possible.
True. Wow. Real. Beauty ❤❤❤❤
make it run, drive it as it is, later you decide what to do. you will see the old stuff isn´t bad, and easy and cheap can pe made more comfortable.
Unfortunately this engine is no good and everything is rusted badly. A frame swap is probably going to be best.
@@wallysworkin823 it´s the easiest way
Nice truck I keep it all original
Wow

I thought about that but the track width is a little too wide.

I’ve been watching that build. The track width is a little bit too wide for me. I’m definitely keeping the patina.
