OMG a TV show used the words He and They in a proper context... Say it isn't so! This channel has lost all my respect after this BS. It was a beaver looking alien that didn't talk, the main character said (when referring to them), "He; They? ... " That was literally it, an incredibly normal thing to say when you don't know the gender of a damn beaver alien. The other character literally just continues on with the conversation saying he and him and doesn't even respond to the implied question. The fact anyone made this out to be something is stupid beyond belief. The show sucks ass and has incredibly bad acting, but it's shit like this that gives Kennedy the power to keep doing what she's doing.

Star Wars fan here for over 40 years. This doesn't feel like Star Wars, but another product with the Star Wars logo slapped on it. They say it wasn't made for us, but then get mad when we don't watch.
When you take away the heart of something beloved for generations, you're left with an empty husk of what once was.

Exactly this. Hollywood has devolved into what honestly seems like a complete narcissistic need to reinvent the moral fabric of stories themselves. They disguise their bs under acceptance and tolerance and try to make it seem like the right thing to do is be accepting of these terrible characters and their choices. This trend of moral ambiguity started with the success of game of thrones and now every hack writer out there wants to bastardize any theme or IP with the same level of ambiguity and its ruining Star Wars.
All they have to do is see what shows did great and you see the common theme of real heroes living up to real heroic ideals. Andor and Mandalorian season 1 were perfect examples of this. Two drifter types just trying to make their way in the galaxy who may not have the best past, but arent bad people, and they take a stand against evil when faced with it. Disney wants to remove the duality of sith = evil and jedi = good so they can pander to themselves essentially since they hate the idea of truly good heroes.
All Disney has to do is watch LOTR and see how captivating and successful a true good vs evil story can be and stop trying to muddy the waters

Fans want a rich history of character they love. Amazing well written story without any agendas or DEI. Dave is just a “yes” man who is afraid to lose his say on Star Wars. Most people thought he would keep George Lucas’ insights and direction when in fact he just goes along with what he is told to incorporate into his storyline.

They are doing their job. Forcing division in unified sectors and letting you know the things you loved were never yours. Most fans agreed the prequels kinda sucked BUT there at least was the skeleton of a good story, just executed poorly. This is something else entirely.

The Last Jedi was the last movie for me.
I pretty much left Star Wars in late 2017 after watching that movie.
I did not hate the new movies. They were just not for me.
Never saw the third Rey movie or kept up to date. Just read old SW books and ignored Disney and their new shows.

I can honestly say that the 6 first movies were all great. The books I read out curiosity and not all of them were great but many of them were entertaining for awhile. I could not put my finger on what I disliked about the new movies until I binge watched UA-cam and almost everything the critics say makes sense to a degree. The journalists defending the new movies probably have read very few Star Wars books. The best books I read were always those respecting the rules- the worst always those violating them. The Darth Bane Triology was outstanding. The OG authors had respect for each other and the mythology. My issue among others are that the exaggerations in the Rey movies actually make them worse - plus everything else the critics point out adds up. So it’s not one thing but all of it combined that makes it a mess. I remember being concerned when Disney bought the franchise - it sounded ominous that a big multinational company would take over. Well now we can see the results of it.

The biggest problem is- instead of actually listening to their audience, they blame the bad reviews on racism, misogyny, ignorance, (sometime of course blaming republicans?!). These shows are NOT getting “review bombed.” These are HONEST reviews. THE SHOW SUCKS!
Also- shame on IGN and Rotten Tomatoes. Clearly these people are all too scared to write the truth… either that or they’re getting paid large sums of money from Disney to write positive reviews. An 84% on rotten tomatoes vs a 1.5/5 general audience rating shows that there is in fact some corruption going on.
Why couldn't they have just made something else that suits their agenda? Come up with YOUR OWN universe full of pride and leave the rest of us alone.
