Thank You! Just did this to my NB1 and it makes a night-and-day difference. My passenger window was slow but my driver's side window was so bad I needed to assist it with my hand to keep it from stopping midway up. Now they both run at factory-new speed. The window binding was a lot of strain on the electrical system and I'm glad to have it running properly now. In my case, I can see a lot of dirt down in that rail so eventually it's going to have to come apart for cleaning but this bought me some time.
My dad doesn't believe me when I told him to get silicone lubricant after what you said. Gonna show this to him before he ends up getting the wrong lubricant for me and ruins the car. Great video btw
Thanks for the great tips!!!!!!!! This worked great!!!!!! And was so easy !!! I had watched a different video that said i had to take the door apart and grease rollers so it didn't get done!!!😁
Excellent video. It's always the drivers side window that sticks the worst. Thanks for the tip on how to do it without taking off the interior door panel
Yeah, that seal needs to go. I put white lithium in those tracks in the door, not sure if that was correct, but it seems to work. I did replace the nylon wheels in those tracks, and the window seals. I haven't put anything in the front seal "track" so I'll hit it with silicone.

Actually in my case it was the passenger's window that was the slow one.
Thanks v much for this film. I got some silicone spray for my NA windows. So much better.
jonathan Leach Thanks for the positive feedback 😊 Let me know if there are any other videos that you would like me to make 👍
Miata Man thanks. Probably simple things most people could do - change light bulbs, change wheel, change aerial, oil change, etc. Thanks
been lubing up the windows so much it's not PG safe. but seems like the hardened outside weather strip is the culprit, squeaking against the glass.

The white lithium grease works well on the metal tracks inside the door 👍
@@MiataMan good, glad I don't have to tear it completely apart again...lol
