Could you spray some cleaner in the throttle since you have them apart and accessible? The front and back of the throttle plate along the edge look dirty to me. I would start them out as clean as possible since you have them apart.

I wonder can this be done if cluster isn’t working for some gauges and the cel light? I bought car drove it two hrs back home and don’t have tach, don’t have oil or coolant gauge, don’t have either blinker light working (only works when hazard button is on), heat seems to have stopped working, same as reverse lights, and don’t have the air bag light, cel light, and also when I hit the brake pedal the cluster lights (as if headlights were on) come on.

My NA was considered totaled due to a severe dent on the rear left quarter panel where it meets the trunk lid. Sooo, I have found an NB (2000) (sans Hardtop) that doesn't have the latch plate hardware for a hard top. FM says you may not need the side latches, but I have my NA with all the hardware I can salvage to put both the side latches and Frankenstein latches on. I was thinking of buying the 2000 IF I can successfully switch the latching hardware. Watching this video, I'm partially convinced it could be done. How are the rear or Franken stein latches installed on an NB that did not come with a hard top? I thought your video was well done, by the way.

My 91 had same problem, corrosion to even the multi wire plug, pumped out water Car would not start,used original plug by Dremel carving then new push on mini Connectors. Found used modual from a 90 Miata same number,works perfectly. Remounted module under glove box bolts right on. Don't know how it even ran for 2 years after I bought it. Only broke in, 330,000 K . Rust free was well oiled

Would you say these wires are 18-22 guage if I were to go purchase some to re connect and have some slack?

My son has a 1990 Miata that has a strange lighting fault. When he turns on the ignition the drivers side (LHD) marker light does not come on, but when the engine is running the light works. I feel that this is a ground issue. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I have a 95 MX5 and I feel like my front bumper is caving in on me. There is very little clearance between the lights, hood and the bumper. I’m wondering if my foam may be compromised. It was towed once and the driver just hooked the cable up under there anywhere he wanted to and didn’t use the hooks. I’m afraid it may have done some damage. Any ideas or suggestions? Hi I have a 1992 Masda mx 5 with a idle drop when standing at traffic light If I turn lights on it helps and idle goes back to normal if I put gears back in neutral but when I put back in gear in drops again , could this be the ecu , in stead of the other issues ie idle valve

Unfortunately found this video after I broke the plastic needle on the new cable. Now I'm trying the old cable, inserted some dry graphite. The white piece that surrounds the needle is not connecting securely to the white refining end on the back of the dashboard. Any thoughts?

Morning MM, have been looking into an electrical issue with my Eunos. Had done the other usual bits, & was going to go on the hunt for earth straps - thinking that the no start & no dash lights might be a similar issue I’ve had with my 38 year SJ. It’s just gone midnight in the UK on a Sunday night - so I’m not going out now to look at it. The car is a ‘95 1.8 & has been in storage for 7 years. Drove into storage but nothing when I went to get it out 2 days ago, so had to get it trailered - heart breaking. Going to have a look tomorrow, to be honest it’s the only thing I haven’t checked. I will put another comment on here ether way, if it starts or not. Thanks for the information Man.

Just saw a previous video on the tops and was wondering if you knew where to get the rear latches for the hardtop? My friend is missing the whole silver latch on her hardtop. It’s a new top from a online site but apparently they don’t come with rear latches.

I have literally took some needle nose pliers and yank them out in less than 5 minutes

Working on an NB and that 10mm bottom bolt that holds the latch is damn near impossible to remove/tighten wth was Mazda thinking?

Love how I found this video after I already took a MONTH to find out it was the ECU. Car wouldn’t rev above 2k rpms or go above 40 mph then found out it was rusted beyond belief

Had a 98 Nissan Frontier that had a red ground cable and a black power thanks to the previous owner. Eventually had to jump it and as you can guess, blew the 80 amp battery fuse. Great vid, definitely something that can easily be overlooked!

Great video. I have a 1999 and am replacing just the interior door pulls as they are very pitted. Do we need to remove the entire door panel to remove the door pulls?

This must be for a 1.6L, because the 1.8L coilpack order is 4-1-2-3, with 1 going down to the cylinder closest to the nose/front.

I have a 99 Miata I have replaced the master and the slave 4 times me and my brother have been working on cars for 10+ years each and my clutch works for a few days then randomly gives out, full engage. then works just fine for a week or two then stops working any ideas ?
